Please note that events are subject to cancellation or change at the last minute. Be sure to check the event links to confirm your plans.
“But there is always a November space after the leaves have fallen when she felt it was almost indecent to intrude on the woods…for their glory terrestrial had departed and their glory celestial of spirit and purity and whiteness had not yet come upon them.”

Local Artist Showcase
Rough Cut Hard Cider

It’s always very interesting to me to see how these shows take shape with the various types of artists and what they bring to the stage. Every show always has it’s own unique aspects that make it special. And this Showcase is no exception. Hitting the Showcase stage for the first time ever, we have the incredible vocal and acoustical stylings of Brandon Dombrowski. Also, back again to entertain with his incredible skill and wholesome wit, we have one of my favorites, Stephen Littfin. And finally, we have Elliot/Crismore. You’ll just have to come see what that’s all about.
Music starts at 5pm at Rough Cut Hard Cider.

Zootown Arts Community Center
216 W Main Street, Missoula, Montana
$10 in advance or at the door
To purchase advance tickets visit: https://showroom.zootownarts.org/…/revival-comedy…/
The leaves are falling and the air is crisper — and that means it’s time for Revival Comedy’s biggest show of the year! Each November we gather the best comics in town for a huge celebration, all centered around collecting warm socks for the Poverello Center. Our goal is to make sure that no one at the Pov is worried about their sock supplies running out until spring and that every person who might not always have a place to go at least has warm toes through Montana’s cold winters. In addition to 10 comedians joking for good, we’ll also have raffles and a few other fun things. The price of your ticket goes directly to the POV (after ZACC’s operational costs) and we heavily encourage people to bring in warm, new socks to donate. We need socks for both men and women, and the warmer the better. If you have other new, useful stuff to donate to the Pov (hats and gloves, toiletries, etc.) we love it all! The night is all hosted by Crystal Koosman, who celebrates her birthday each year with this amazing fundraiser.
Masks are required for attendees for all Show Room events at this time. Masks may be removed for beverage consumption, but we ask that they please be worn at any time when not actively drinking. Simply Strings
University of Montana
32 Campus Drive, Missoula. Montana
Our November program features magnificent string works written by eminent string players: Benjamin Britten and Antonin Dvorak (both violists!) and the celebrated American violinist Mark O’Connor, whose “Appalachia Waltz” opens our concert. Our SOR musicians have invited a few special young musicians to join us in a side-by-side performance of the “Simple Symphony” by Britten, an early work based on eight themes that Britten wrote in his childhood. The exuberance and youthfulness of this work is astonishing and its profoundly touching “Sentimental Sarabande” is a favorite of both string players and audiences. Czech composer Antonin Dvorak is featured in the second half of our program in his lyrical and enchanting String Sextet in A Major. This work, written in only two weeks, gave the young Dvorak much recognition, and we have arranged it for our full string section, enriching the sonority of the prolific Czech folk tunes featured throughout this charming piece.
