Classic things dads say:
“Don’t make me turn this car around”
“Money doesn’t grow on trees”
“When I was your age”
“You call that crap music?”
“When you pay the rent, you can make the rules”
“Don’t touch the thermostat”
“Were you raised in a barn?”
“If someone told you to jump off a cliff, would you do it?”
“Have you ever heard of making a phone call?”
“You’re going out dressed like that?”
“Pull my finger”
“Ask your mother”
“I love you”

Roxy Garden
718 S Higgins Avenue, Missoula, Montana
The Roxy and Montana Area Music Association are proud to present Music in the Sound Garden, a series of live musical performances in the Roxy Garden.
Lady Rose: Two parts folk, one part blues, a dash of punk, and a hint of jazz. Lady Rose, a Livingston, MT native has been singing and whistling since before she could remember. Together with her guitar, she writes simple songs to stir the heart.
Gabrielle Tusberg from Portland, Oregon is a singer-songwriter with an admiration for Fiona Apple. Her songwriting style has ranged from folk to a satirical and sassy narrative on what it is like to be a young woman making it through relationships and providing for herself. She is currently working on recording a demo with Chris Sand and a few other local Missoula artists. Performing alongside her will be Chris DuParri originally from St Louis, Missouri. Formally in the band Locksaw Cartel, he is a singer, songwriter, an guitarist. He has formed many bands of different genres his favorite, however, being blues, psychedelic, and bluegrass. He is now working on recording his own original music and playing in a country band.

“Some people are impressionists. These guys leave an impression”. Says Bill Miller, owner of www.johnnycash.com about Cash’d Out, a San Diego based band that channels Johnny Cash in about as close a manner to the real thing as it gets.
After thirteen years, traveling hundreds of thousands of miles on the road and winning over as many fans, fans who still continually tell the group how grateful they are that Cash’d Out so righteously carries the torch of the Johnny Cash Show.
Besides music critics anointing Cash’d Out as “the next best thing to Johnny Cash”, their highlights have been many:
W.S. Holland, Johnny Cash’s longtime drummer, has sat in with Cash’d Out; front man, Douglas Benson, has played Johnny’s cherry sunburst Guild guitar (courtesy of Mr. Miller); “Cindy Cash came to a show and was moved to give me a glass locket that was her father’s,” explains Benson; Longtime Johnny Cash manager Lou Robin has also been to several Cash’d Out shows and claimed that if he closed his eyes it was as if “going back in time”; And most recently, an unforgettable evening performing the music of Johnny Cash with the San Diego Symphony as a special event for their Summer Pops Series.
The band’s live shows respectfully reference the late, great Man in Black’s Sun Records and early Columbia era sound, combined with the energy of the classic multi-platinum live recordings from Folsom Prison and San Quentin. The group’s genuine love (and authentic recreation) of Johnny Cash’s music and its universal appeal fans of all ages and of virtually all musical genres makes each Cash’d Out show a must-see event.
Or as Bill Miller says, “Some people are impressionists. These guys leave an impression.”

Jamie Hansen
MontaVino Winery
38 1st Ave E, Suite D, Kalispell, Montana
Jamie Hansen is an eclectic, genre-transcending artist known for her originality not only in her songwriting, but in her unabashed pursuit of life. Her love for Jesus seeps into her music, whether that be inspired by country, pop, rock, or blues styles. The culture and landscape of the west have certainly impacted Jamie and her writing style, but it is the call of the wild and the adventures that arise that have and will always impact her soul. Whether you find her on a horse, carrying a backpack across mountain passes, or trekking across a glacier, Jamie is usually singing or writing about life and all of its eccentricities. Jamie Hansen competed in the Wyoming Singer Songwriter Competition in 2018, and is featured on their compilation album with her original song ‘Waitin’ for the Weekend’. Hansen released her first EP album ‘Heart Like Mine’ which has 5 original live recordings. Her EP can be found on all digital platforms. Hansen describes her music as her emotional outlet. In many ways, it is her personal diary that she shares with the world. It has allowed her to express her joy, her confusion, her faith, and her heartbreak in this enigma we call life.
