FREE EVENT: New Zealand, the Kingdom of Birds
Mandela, lead storyteller for Xplorer Maps and host of “The Trail Less Traveled,” will guide you through the ecology, history, and cultural lore of Aotearoa, “The Land of the Long White Cloud.”
With years of experience as a sea kayak guide and interviews with Māori elders, Mandela will take you back 80 million years to when Zealandia separated from Gondwanaland. Learn how birds, insects, and reptiles thrived in a world without mammals. Plus, enjoy the sounds of the didjeridu for a truly engaging evening.
All CCA events are held at Xplorer Maps’ Missoula brick-and-mortar location, 1245 S 3rd St W.
Seating is limited, so be sure to secure your spot for this unique experience that brings maps to life like never before!
This family-friendly event is open to all ages. Admission to Cartography Comes Alive is free, but seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. To guarantee a seat, we recommend picking up tickets early at the Xplorer Maps store.
