The Historical Museum at Fort Missoula is pleased to announce the return of our beloved Holiday Lantern Tours on December 8th – 10th. This living history program will have guests stepping back in time to celebrate the Holiday Season in Western Montana through the decades.
This year’s tour will include five vignettes that have guests visiting five of our historic buildings. Visitors will meet a fascinating cast of characters who will share their lives and experiences. The program is interactive, and guests will help celebrate the holidays with the reenactors.

Our Mission:The Missoula Underground is a hyper-local blog about the best the Missoula area has to offer: food/beverages, music, events, activities, local people and business.
Hyper-local means we don’t write about anything that isn't owned or locally managed or operated in the Missoula area. No corporate chains or businesses operated by investment groups from out of Montana.
We have a growing all-volunteer team of bloggers and contributors. We’re here because we care about our beloved Missoula area and want to showcase the best of what's here and what we love to do.
When you share our articles, you become part of a force for good in and around Missoula.
