JOIN US FOR OUR 5th annual seasonal rite of WASSAIL to raise the winter spirit of the community. A traditionally British celebration, the purpose of this ritual is to ensure a bounty of apples for the coming season. The festivities will include costumed pageantry, music, food, and ritual. This is a unique event comparable to none. We will also have our hot Wassail, made from a 10.6%ABV New England cider we call The Colonial. In the spirit of participation, we encourage everyone to attend the festivities in Old World costumes. We will be hosting several workshops to help prepare you for the festivities including mask, crown, and cup making – in partnership with Farmhand Farm & Earth Within Flowers, Full Bushel Farm, and The Clay Studio of Missoula. See details on these workshops on our Events page. Join us in making this legendary celebration – legendary! Tell your friends! Follow our stories on Instagram and Facebook as we familiarize our community with this ancient celebration. WASSAIL! (‘Waes Hael!’ means ‘Good Health!’) Performance will start near 7PM. Get here early to get warmed up and fed! Food provided by m80 Food Truck. Music by Ad Hoc Brass Band. SEE YOU THERE! LEAVE THE KIDS AT HOME! 21 AND UP ONLY
Tickets are $8/person and will be available to purchase at the bar at the time of the event.
Our Mission:The Missoula Underground is a hyper-local blog about the best the Missoula area has to offer: food/beverages, music, events, activities, local people and business.
Hyper-local means we don’t write about anything that isn't owned or locally managed or operated in the Missoula area. No corporate chains or businesses operated by investment groups from out of Montana.
We have a growing all-volunteer team of bloggers and contributors. We’re here because we care about our beloved Missoula area and want to showcase the best of what's here and what we love to do.
When you share our articles, you become part of a force for good in and around Missoula.
