When Gibson Guitars moved their acoustic instrument division to Bozeman in 1980\, many new and skilled instruments makers were lured to Montana creating a remarkably high concentration of Master Luthiers within one state. Luthiers from Bozeman\, Livingston\, Belgrade\, Manhattan\, Boulder\, Missoula\, Potomac\, Alberton and Libby have all been invited to the 2026 Missoula Guitar Show to exhibit their acoustic\, electric\, steel and resonator guitars. \n\n\n\nThe Show gallery will be open at the ZACC from 12:00 pm Noon to 5:30 pm each day leading up to the Jazzoula evening performances. On the closing night of the festival\, a raffle will be held to give away a Custom Telecaster hand-painted by renowned Scottish artist Jennifer Armstrong valued at $2\,200. Elephant Gerald’s Jazz Jam is built around a rotating house band\, with each Wednesday featuring a different theme – from western swing and country jazz with The High Noon Swing Band\, to swing standards with The JIVE\, an anything-goes jazz and blues jam with the Elephant Gerald house band and rotating guests\, and a gypsy jazz night with The Skalsky Brothers. When there’s a fifth Wednesday\, the stage turns over to a vocal spotlight night for singers. Sit in or just sit back – the house band keeps the music flowing all night.

DESCRIPTION:Hot Damn Scandal brings their “Cabaret Americana” to Missoula’s Longstaff House Sunday 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm Wednesday\, April 29\n\n\n\n\n\nHot Damn Scandal finds its songs under park benches and in forgotten alleyways\, on the corner of Tom Waits and Gershwin. The resulting outlaw ballads\, dirty jazz\, circus freakouts\, shanty-rags\, string band funk\, lonesome heart-breakers\, and whiskey bottle love songs blend together in what may be best described as ‘Cabaret Americana’: theatrical\, orchestral\, lyrical\, and endlessly danceable. \n\n\n\nThe group began as a nebula of traveling musicians formed around the songs of founder Pete Irving over 15 years ago. Firmly rooted in Bellingham\, WA since 2016\, they have become a staple in the ever-evolving NW music scene. \n\n\n\nWith influences ranging from Roma Swing to Motown\, from Klezmer to Country\, they’ll be in your ears and on your mind for good after you’ve seen them once.
