DESCRIPTION:Cruise up to Missoula’s Marshall Mountain Park for the Marshall Mountain Songwriter Showcase #2\, a benefit for Friends of Marshall Mountain with local and regional songwriters performing from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Saturday\, June 13\n\n\n\n\n\nReturn of Marshall Mountain Songwriter Showcase!  An all-day local mini-festival benefit from 3:30 pm to 8:30 pm-ish with excellent local/regional songwriters. Come bring your art supplies and frisbees and your blankets and get outside to hear some tunes in a beautiful setting!Local and Regional Songwriters come together to play as a benefit for Friends of Marshall Mountain with a day / early-evening mini-festival. \n\n\n\n3:30 pm – Opening 4:00 pm – Jayburd & Josh Fox (Local Acoustic duet-i-tude) 5:00 pm – Stonewall Riot (Folk Disturbances) Wyoming singer/songwriter regionally famous for occasional folk disturbances\, original protest tunes\, soaring homespun vocals\, and even a little comedy-tinged alt-rock6:00 pm – Jay Alm (Scrappy rock-ish-ness)Acoustic Alt-rock swaddled in a psych-folk blanket. His oddball\, neo-pagan songs find poetic space between lo-fi garage rock and nettled\, singer-songwriter scratch-folk7:00 pm – Boston McDonald (Alternative/pop)Montana-grown songwriter Boston McDonald sings with a rare versatility\, often trading hats between resident rockstar\, earnest indie-pop troubadour and subtle-yet-slick alt-folk string-slinger. Expect a nexus of heartfelt and swaggering and honest\, original tunes.Come and have a rad time and support this rad local trail spot! \n\n\n\n\n\nThere will be QR codes and cash jars to donate to Friends of Marshall Mountain – who maintain the base areas and trails for this fantastic community recreation area. \n\n\n\n\n\nTake the bus! DESCRIPTION:Bigfork Center for the Performing Arts in Bigfork presents “Young Frankenstein – The Musical” with 8:00 pm to 10:30 pm evening performances on varying weeknight dates from May thru August\n\n\n\n\n\nFrederick Frankenstein\, brilliant scientist and proud descendant of Dr. Victor Von Frankenstein\, is determined to escape his family’s grisly legacy – even demanding his name be pronounced “Fronken-steen.” \n\n\n\nAfter inheriting his grandfather’s looming castle in Transylvania\, Frederick reluctantly travels there with his devoted servant Igor and his eager lab assistant Inga to the castle’s creepy labs where he is under the watchful eye of the ominous Frau Blucher.  \n\n\n\nFrederick gives in to destiny and attempts his grandfather’s infamous experiment.  \n\n\n\nChaos\, romance\, and madcap comedy follow as his newly animated creature proves more misunderstood than monstrous\, forcing Frederick to rethink his legacy\, identity and what “normal” truly means. \n\n\n\nSongs include: “The Happiest Town in Town”\, “The Brain”\, “Please Don’t Touch Me”\, “Together Again for the First Time”\, “Transylvania Mania”\, “He Vas My Boyfriend” and more! \n\n\n\nRated PG-13 \n\n\n\nFor more information\, please call the Bigfork Summer Playhouse Box Office at 406-837-4886.
