The tickets can be used any one day of the carnival from Aug. 12 to 16 and are the lowest priced way to experience the rides. Fairgoers can purchase the tickets until 5 p.m. on Aug. 10 or while supplies last. Wristbands will also be available at all carnival ticket booths during the fair\, but the price will be higher than the discounted tickets. \n\n\n\nAdmission onto the fairgrounds is a separate fee at the gate and costs $8 for adults and teens\, $5 for seniors age 65 and over\, and $5 for children age six to 12. The group was formed in 2002\, in Brooklyn\, New York\, and it is composed of James Murphy\, Nancy Whang\, Pat Mahoney\, Rayna Russom\, Tyler Pope\, Al Doyle\, Matt Thornley and Korey Richey. The band was first signed under DFA Records\, a label co-founded by Murphy. They released several singles including “Losing My Edge”\, “Give it Up” and the hit “Movement” which peaked at number 52 in the UK Charts. Their label debut\, My Heart Is A Room With No Cameras In It\, released January 23\, 2026\, via Good English\, is a triumphant\, despondent\, and ultimately fun experimental pop-rock album. My Heart wrangles with heavy subject matter (love\, disconnection\, sexual frustration\, emptiness\, etc.)\, but the terminal statement of the record is about the cleansing nature of pop music.
