DESCRIPTION:(Rescheduled from April 15) – Meet up at 5:30 pm Monday\, April 20 with Women Bike Missoula for a Birthday Ride from Target Range Elementary School to the Madison Street Underbridge near downtown\, and back to The Trough\n\n\n\n\n\nDon’t miss our 13th annual Birthday Ride on Monday\, April 20! (Rescheduled from April 15)We consider this our kick-off celebration to commemorate the formation of Women Bike Missoula back in 2013.  We’ll meet at 5:30 pm. in the parking lot of Target Range School as it should be empty by that time of day.  We switched it around since last year as we ended up riding back in the dark which was not safe.  So we’ll start on the west side of town\, loop up and around through to the Madison Street underbridge for a flat and easy 10-12 mile loop back to The Trough. Most of us choose to have dinner there (and maybe some birthday cake?) but of course that is optional.  This is close to the school so there will be a limited ride back to the cars.  All levels of riders and bikes\, including e-bikes\, are welcome.  As always\, helmets are strongly suggested and it’s good to have tools and an extra innertube just in case. Also\, lights and/or reflective gear are always good to have in these evening rides just in case.

DESCRIPTION:Meet up with Women Bike Missoula at 5:30 pm Wednesday\, May 27 at The XXXXs on North Higgins for a ride through town and up Grant Creek Trail\n\n\n\n\n\nCome join Women Bike Missoula for one more ride in May as we continue to celebrate Bike Month on Wednesday\, May 27. After meeting at the XXXX’s\, we’ll head up and over the train tracks on the pedestrian bridge\, through neighborhoods\, past the cemetery to Reserve. After crossing Reserve beyond I-90\, we hop on the beautiful Grant Creek Trail to its end approximately three miles up\, turn around and grab dinner (always optional) in town on our way back. This is a relatively flat ride except for the climb up over the train tracks. Meetup at the Downtown XXXX’s on North Higgins at 5:30 pm. An alternative meetup location is at the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation which is near the start of the Grant Creek bike trail at approximately 6:00 pm (5705 Grant Creek Road).  We’ll have one of our riders there to meet anyone who would just like to do this out-and-back section with us. All bikes are suitable for this ride. This time of year we should not need bike lights as mother nature provides a nice long afternoon/evening. All levels of riders and bikes\, including e-bikes\, are welcome.  As always\, helmets are strongly suggested and it’s good to have tools and an extra inner tube just in case.

DESCRIPTION:Meet up with Women Bike Missoula on the south end of the Madison Street Under Bridge at 5:30 pm Wednesday\, June 10 for a ride up to Rattlesnake Canyon with a dinner pit stop at The Patio on the way back\n\n\n\n\n\nJulie will lead this moderate 9 mile loop on lower Rattlesnake roads and trails with the option of a dinner stop near the end. Begin gathering at 5:30 pm on the trail at the south end of the Madison Street Under Bridge. The ride will begin by 5:45 pm. Some singletrack trails are included\, most commuter bikes will do fine. A dinner or snack stop at the Patio at Rattlesnake Market on the return trip will be an optional part of the celebration. \n\n\n\nFYI: if riding an eBike or skinny tire bike\, we’ll have a break-off group route to avoid the singletrack dirt trails. We will have a leader for this section too. \n\n\n\nItems to bring: helmet\, water\, tube that fits your bike\, lock if you are joining us for dinner. All are welcome!

SUMMARY:Kim Williams Trail Ride with Women Bike Missoula
DESCRIPTION:Meet up with Women Bike Missoula at 5:30 pm Wednesday\, June 24 at the Madison Street Under Bridge for the annual Kim Williams Trail Ride\, looping around the Canyon River Golf Course\n\n\n\n\n\nJoin Women Bike Missoula for the annual Kim Williams Trail ride! We’ll begin gathering at 5:30 pm on the trail at the south end of the Madison Street Under Bridge near the University. The ride will begin by 5:40 pm. We will head east on the Kim Williams Trail to the Canyon River Connector in East Missoula.  After making a loop around the Canyon River Golf Course\, we will head back to Missoula.  This is about a 9 mile flat and easy route.  Parts of the trail are fairly rough so although some might ride their road bikes\, skinny bike tires are not ideal for this ride.  Also\, you may want to air down on your tires a bit. And lastly\, we’ll chat about options for having a beverage or bite to eat as usual at the conclusion of our ride.   \n\n\n\nAll levels of riders and bikes\, including e-bikes\, are welcome.  As always\, helmets are strongly suggested and it’s good to have tools and an extra innertube just in case. \n\n\n\nFor all our rides: don’t forget your helmet\, water\, sunscreen and bike light. If weather conditions exist where the ride would need to be cancelled (heat\, air quality\, thunderstorms)\, someone from WBM will be at the meet-up location at the scheduled time just in case to let you know.
