SUMMARY:Route of the Hiawatha Trail Ride with Women Bike Missoula
DESCRIPTION:Meet up at 7:30 am Monday\, August 25 at the Lower Snowbowl Parking Lot with Women Bike Missoula to carpool out for a daytrip bicycle ride on the Route of the Hiawatha Trail\n\n\n\n\n\nMEET/LEAVE: at 7:30 am Monday morning\, August 25 at the Bluebird Trailhead (lower Snowbowl parking lot) on the NE corner of Reserve and I-90 in Missoula.  We’ll have carpools organized prior to meeting so we make sure there’s room for everyone.  Click here for map. \n\n\n\nThis ride is a classic rails to trails path here in Montana\, where trains once passed between Chicago and the Pacific NW.  Now privately managed\, it requires you purchase a pass to access the 15 mile trail from the East Portal in Montana to the Pearson Trailhead in Idaho.  In this direction it’s all downhill and includes trestles with incredible views and tunnels (one is 1.7 miles long!) so it’s truly a unique experience.  This is a first for Women Bike Missoula and if you’ve always wanted to try it but wanted to go with a buddy\, this is your chance! \n\n\n\nBecause this takes a bit more organization\, we’re asking for everyone to RSVP Carol Admire (ride leader) by either responding back to this email or text/call 720-353-1812 no later than Friday\, August 22. THIS IS CRITICAL.  We have to be able to organize the carpools and know how many people to wait for at the parking lot before departure.  Each rider will need to pre-purchase their own ticket and choose whether to ride both directions or just down and take the shuttle back up.  Visit here to purchase your pass ($18 without shuttle\, $35 with shuttle) and for any additional information on the trail itself.     \n\n\n\nA good bike light and light jacket are necessary for this ride.  Rental lights may be available according to the website.  Bring your own lunch or there are opportunities to purchase food and snacks at the start and end of the trail.  The menus are available at https://www.ridethehiawatha.com/food-for-sale-on-the-trail. \n\n\n\nFor all our rides:  don’t forget your helmet\, water\, sunscreen and bike light.  If weather conditions exist where the ride would need to be cancelled (heat\, air quality\, thunderstorms)\, someone from WBM will be at the trailhead(s) to let you know.

SUMMARY:Florence Lavender Farm Ride with Women Bike Missoula
DESCRIPTION:Meet up with Women Bike Missoula at The Peak Racquet Club at 5:30 pm Wednesday\, July 23 to carpool to the Backyard Taphouse in Florence for the Lavender Farm Ride\n\n\n\n\n\nMeet up with Women Bike Missoula at 5:30 pm near the corner of Blue Mountain Road and Buckhouse Lane\, near The Peak Racquet Club. Park on Buckhouse Lane and the group will carpool to Florence. Click here for map. \n\n\n\nWe will carpool to the Backyard Taphouse in Florence\, where the ride will begin and end. With permission\, we’ll travel briefly through some private land and onto a lavender farm. We’ll then traverse the Chief Looking Glass fishing access\, maybe stopping for a stretch/yoga break. There will be some single track trail at this point. We’ll then loop around\, go under Highway 93 and travel south on the paved bike path that runs parallel to the highway\, back to the taphouse. Option dinner/beverage at the Backyard Taphouse. Ride is approximately 10-12 miles at a leisurely pace. Skinny tires are not recommended\, but E-bikes are ok. \n\n\n\nITEMS TO BRING ON ALL OUR RIDES: helmet\, water\, snacks\, tube that fits your bike\, lock if you are joining us for dinner. SUMMARY:Kim Williams Trail Ride with Women Bike Missoula
DESCRIPTION:Meet up with Women Bike Missoula on the UM side of the University Footbridge Parking Lot at 5:30 pm Thursday\, July 10 for a fun group ride on the Kim Williams Trail\n\n\n\n\n\nJoin Women Bike Missoula for the annual Kim Williams Trail ride!  We will head east on the Kim Williams Trail to the Canyon River Connector in East Missoula.  After making a loop around the Canyon River Golf Course\, we will head back to Missoula.  This is about a 9 mile flat and easy route.  Parts of the trail are fairly rough so although some might ride their road bikes\, skinny bike tires are not ideal for this ride.  Ebikes are allowed on this trail.We’ve had some fun bird watching in the past and along the way.  Lastly\, we’ll chat about options for having a beverage or bite to eat at the conclusion of our ride! \n\n\n\nFor all our rides:  don’t forget your helmet\, water\, sunscreen and bike light (just in case).  If weather conditions exist where the ride would need to be cancelled (heat\, air quality\, thunderstorms)\, someone from WBM will be at the trailhead(s) to let you know.

SUMMARY:Bitterroot Bike Path Ride to Lolo Peak Brewery with Women Bike Missoula
DESCRIPTION:Ride along with Women Bike Missoula on a casual / fun bicycle ride from the middle of town on the Bitterroot Bike Path to Lolo Peak Brewery starting at 5:30 pm Thursday\, June 26\n\n\n\n\n\nIf you like a longer ride\, all on a separated bike path\, this is the ride for you.  June 26\, nearly the longest day of the year\, is a good time for our annual 10.5 or 20-mile round trip ride on the Bitterroot Trail  to the Lolo Peak Brewery and back.  We’ll leave from Mile 0\, the circle junction of the Milwaukee and  Bitterroot trails\, at 5:30 pm\, and we will plan to be at the traffic light by Blue Mountain Road and The Peak fitness center at 6:00 pm to meet any riders who prefer to start there.  If meeting at The Peak\, park along Buckhouse Lane which is the first road to the right after turning on Blue Mountain Road. Peg will meet you there.  We should have plenty of daylight to reach the brewery and enjoy dinner and the ride home.  It’s 20 miles round trip from Mile 0 and 10.5 miles round trip from The Peak.  Choose the distance you prefer.  E-bikes & all-tires friendly pavement.  All abilities welcome!   \n\n\n\nFor all our rides:  don’t forget your helmet\, water\, sunscreen and bike light (just in case).  If weather conditions exist where the ride would need to be cancelled (heat\, air quality\, thunderstorms)\, someone from WBM will be at the trailhead(s) to let you know.

SUMMARY:Rattlesnake Parks & Trails Ride with Women Bike Missoula
DESCRIPTION:Meet up at 5:30 pm Wednesday\, June 11 with Women Bike Missoula at the south end of the Madison Street Bike-Pedestrian Underbridge to ride the Rattlesnake neighborhood parks & trails\n\n\n\n\n\nRide with Women Bike Missoula\, and learn how to go from downtown up to the Rattlesnake Recreation area\, primarily on trails. This moderate 9-mile loop will tour lower Rattlesnake roads and trails and will include some dirt single track. Most commuter bikes will do fine. Begin gathering at 5:30 p.m. at the south end of the Madison Street Bike/Pedestrian Underbridge; the ride will begin by 5:45 pm. Those interested may gather for dinner or a snack stop at the Patio at Rattlesnake Market on the return trip. This of course is optional. FYI: if riding an Ebike or skinny tire bike\, we’ll have a break off group route to avoid the single track dirt trails. We will have a leader for this group\, too. Items to bring: Lock\, water\, jacket\, helmet.
