DESCRIPTION:The University of Montana Homecoming Parade starts at 10:00 am Saturday\, October 3 through Downtown Missoula on Higgins Avenue\n\n\n\n\n\nThere’s No Place Like Home – and there’s no better way to celebrate Homecoming than by joining the parade! \n\n\n\nThe UM Homecoming Parade begins at 10:00 am on Saturday\, October 3\, traveling through Downtown Missoula along its historic route: south on Higgins Avenue\, across the Beartracks Bridge and east on University Avenue to the UM Campus. \n\n\n\nWe invite alumni\, students\, campus partners\, community organizations\, businesses and friends to be part of this cherished tradition by creating an entry that brings this year’s Homecoming theme\, No Place Like Home\, to life.

DESCRIPTION:The 34th Annual Festival of the Dead Procession starts at the XXXXs on North Higgins\, and moves through Downtown Missoula toward Caras Park starting at 6:00 pm Monday\, November 2\n\n\n\n\n\nMissoula’s 34th Annual Festival of the Dead Procession \n\n\n\nMeet at the XXX’s on the north end of Higgins with a welcoming ceremony by SnYelMn drum group at 5:30 pm\, Monday\, November 2. \n\n\n\nThe Procession starts at 6:00 pm\, moves down Higgins Avenue to Caras Park\, where there will be performances by the UM African Dance Class\, Missoula Samba Batería\, and more. \n\n\n\nEveryone is welcome! \n\n\n\nIf you want to participate in the procession\, please start lining up on East Alder Street\, east of Higgins\, near the locomotive at 5:00 pm. \n\n\n\nCity permit and insurance require that there is no fire\, no motorized vehicles\, and no throwing of objects or candy during the Procession and at Caras Park – please help us abide! \n\n\n\nPutting on this Procession is not a cheap endeavor (tune of $3000) – please consider donating to the cause through our fiscal sponsor\, the Missoula Downtown Foundation’s website HERE.
