DESCRIPTION:Meet the neighbors and check out unique holiday gifts at the Old Fashioned Christmas & Craft Fair at Nine Mile Community Center in Huson 10:00 am to 4:00 pm Saturday\, November 29\n\n\n\n\n\nThis event is filled with old fashioned fun\, from turkey shoots (no actual turkeys are harmed)\, to hay rides\, to a variety of vendors\, a delicious lunch\, Santa Claus\, and spending time in the beautiful Nine Mile Valley at the historic Nine Mile Community Center schoolhouse and church. There is sure to be something to please everyone that visits. Indoor and outdoor vendors offer a vast variety of items from baked goods to stained glass\, to paintings to honey products\, to lotions to candy\, crocheted items and 3D printed creations\, and everything in between. Mark the date in your calendar for this must-attend event. We will collect dry pantry goods for 2 benefits this year: Alberton Food Bank and a Meal Prep Program for families in need led by Stacey Clark from Outdoorsman Church! Both benefit our local communities surrounding the Nine-Mile – so bring a canned good or dry pantry item to the event – boxes will be near the front entryway door to the school house! These fellas put on a spectacular spectacle\, only seen about once every two months that ranges from indie rock to shoegaze to ambient music\, folk\, and bedroom pop. \n\n\n\nThe Dead & Down are an indie roots-rock band inspired as much by the vast landscapes and dramatic mountain ranges of their Montana home as they are by the myriad musical influences that weave through their sound. Based around the introspective songwriting and dusty vocals of frontman Taylor Burlage\, the band navigates sonic trails between rust-flecked alt country and atmospheric indie rock\, with detours through psychedelia and genre-bending experimentation. They have opened for the likes of Fruition\, Futurebirds\, The Last Revel and Blind Pilot. They have hit the stage at Zootown Music Festival\, Treefort Music Fest and more. Their 2024 release\, No Broken Bones\, displays the sound of a band willing to take chances and explores the human condition in fun and surprising ways. \n\n\n\n“The Dead & Down have a sound that doesn’t fit into one bin.
