SUMMARY:43rd Annual Swan Lake Huckleberry Festival
DESCRIPTION:Fill up on all things huckleberry at the 43rd Annual Swan Lake Huckleberry Festival 9:00 am to 3:30 pm Saturday\, August 9 at the Swan Lake Day Park off Hwy 83; live music by the Silverado Band at 11:30 am\n\n\n\n\n\nFor 43 years\, the second Saturday in August has meant huckleberry pie\, huckleberry treats\, arts\, crafts\, and music on the shores of beautiful Swan Lake.  The 43rd annual Swan Lake Huckleberry Festival will get underway at 9:00 am on Saturday\, August 9 at the Swan Lake Day Park near mile marker 72 on Montana Highway 83. \n\n\n\nMorning activities include a pancake breakfast starting at 8:00 am\, a Huckleberry Baking contest at 11:00 am\, and a Huckleberry Baked Goods Sale (Come early\, the pies sell out quickly!). Contest entries must be huckleberry-based with a minimum of three servings provided.  Entries will be accepted Saturday morning starting at 10:30 am. \n\n\n\nPlanned afternoon activities include a silent auction and raffles of donated items including gift certificates and products from area restaurants and merchants. \n\n\n\nThe festival will also feature an Arts and Crafts Fair with more than 50 vendors offering a wide array of handicrafts\, gifts\, Montana-made products\, food\, and country-made delicacies. The Silverado Band will play from 11:30 am until 3:30 pm. \n\n\n\nFestival proceeds will be used to fund the maintenance of the Swan Lake Community Center.

DESCRIPTION:Missoula Dead Day honoring 30 years since the passing of The Grateful Dead’s Jerry Garcia will host live music from Dead tribute bands Flash Panda and 710 Ashbury\, with food trucks\, beverages and vendors at Caras Park from 12:00 Noon to 7:00 pm Saturday\, August 9\n\n\n\n\n\nMissoula Dead Day will take place at Caras Park on Saturday\, August 9 from 12:00 pm Noon to 7:00 pm. This special event will honor the music and legacy of Jerry Garcia and the Grateful Dead. August 9 will mark exactly 30 years since Garcia’s passing\, as well as 2025 representing the 60th anniversary of the formation of this iconic\, culture-shifting band. The event will feature live music from 710 Ashbury and Flash Panda\, showcasing Grateful Dead classics\, and original music in the spirit of the band. In addition to the music\, attendees can enjoy alcohol catering\, food trucks\, and a vendor area. The event will foster an atmosphere of camaraderie\, nostalgia\, and celebrating the joy of life and community.
