Elephant Gerald’s Jazz Jam is built around a rotating house band\, with each Wednesday featuring a different theme – from western swing and country jazz with the High Noon Swing Band\, to swing standards with The JIVE\, an anything-goes jazz and blues jam with the Elephant Gerald house band and rotating guests\, and a gypsy jazz night with the Skalsky Brothers. When there’s a fifth Wednesday\, the stage turns over to a vocal spotlight night for singers. Sit in or just sit back – the house band keeps the music flowing all night.

DESCRIPTION:Join Elephant Gerald and JJ Slater at The Underground at Leaf + Quiet for a jazzy night from 7:30 pm to 10:00 pm Saturday\, June 6\n\n\n\n\n\nElephant Gerald reunites with an old high school band mate\, JJ Slater for an evening of hot jazz at L+Q Underground! \n\n\n\nElephant Gerald is both a performing act and the creative partnership at the center of Elephant Gerald Productions.  \n\n\n\nLed by Jordan Medeiros and Patrick Christianson\, the project spans jazz performance\, event curation\, and full stage production\, with roots in swing\, early jazz\, and vintage music traditions. \n\n\n\nThe Underground at Leaf + Quiet is an intimate live-music space dedicated to jazz\, bluegrass\, and American roots music\, located in the historic downtown building that once hosted performances by The ZACC. \n\n\n\nContinuing the tradition of creative community gathering in the space\, the series features rotating regional artists and local favorites in a close-listening room atmosphere with plenty of room for dancing! \n\n\n\nAll performances are donation-based\, with contributions directly supporting both the venue and the performing artists — helping sustain live music at the local level while keeping shows accessible to everyone.
