One of the survivors\, Raja\, having lived through it all\, tells the true story of the children of Terezin. It’s her play and it’s theirs. DESCRIPTION:View the true-story experience of the WWII detainment camp of Terezin through the eyes of the children who survived in the Hamilton Players’ production of “I Never Saw Another Butterfly” with weekend performances November 7-23 at the Hamilton Players Performance Art Theater\n\n\n\n\n\nI Never Saw Another Butterfly**By Celeste Raspanti – Produced by special arrangement with The Dramatic Publishing Company of Woodstock\, ILNovember 7-9\, 14-16\, & 21-23Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 PMSundays at 2 PM \n\n\n\nOver 15\,000 Jewish children passed through Terezin detainment camp\, and only about 150 survived by the time Terezin was liberated at the end of World War 2. One of the survivors\, Raja\, having lived through it all\, tells the true story of the children of Terezin. It’s her play and it’s theirs. There were no butterflies at the camp\, of course\, but for the children\, butterflies became a symbol of defiance\, allowing them to live on and play happily while waiting to be transported. \n\n\n\n**Content Advisory: “I Never Saw Another Butterfly” includes themes and imagery related to the Holocaust\, including references to genocide\, death (including the loss of children)\, and antisemitism. These subjects may be emotionally difficult for some audience members.
