These four lifelong friends walked into a tiny room\, plugged in\, and turned up with the same spirit\, but with more experience\, and proficiency gained from performing to millions worldwide. As a result\, they delivered Wake Up\, Sunshine\, a captivating body of work featuring the hit single “Monsters” (feat. blackbear)\, which spent 18 weeks atop Billboard’sAlternative Airplay chart and became the longest charting song ever on the Alternative Radio Mediabase chart. A brand-new version of “Monsters” was released at the end of 2020 featuring both blackbear and global super star Demi Lovato. “Monsters” recently earned All Time Low nominations for “Alternative Song of the Year” and “Alternative Artist of the Year” at the 2022 iHeartRadio Music Awards\, in addition to nominations for “Top Rock Song” at the 2021 Billboard Music Awards and “Favorite Rock Artist” at the 2021 American Music Awards. DESCRIPTION:Jonathan Richman featuring Tommy Larkins at the ZACC in Missoula Saturday at 8:00 pm\n\n\n\n\n\nDoors @ 7:00 pm \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJonathan Richman featuring Tommy Larkins at the ZACC in Missoula Saturday at 8:00 pm. \n\n\n\n“Richman is one of America’s most unique and dynamic songwriters…” – Nashville Scene “Richman didn’t need much else besides a beat to work his magic.” – New York Daily News \n\n\n\n“Buy tickets early. Buy tickets often. This is just good general life advice\, but even more so when you’re talking about Jonathan Richman. Don’t get denied at the door\, don’t leave things up to chance: You will regret it.” – Nashville Scene \n\n\n\n“Rhymes worthy of Ogden Nash.” – The New York Times \n\n\n\n“Richman has spent decades removing barriers between himself and his audience\, cultivating an intimacy that is almost extinct in modern music.”- Nashville Scene \n\n\n\n“As of a few years ago\, I was going to just play theaters\, cabarets and such\, but we ended up by mistake at the Zebulon in Los Angeles and had such a fine time that those kind of shows have to happen too. So\, you might see us nowadays in theaters\, cabaret-style places\, or the right club or bar. The theaters have the best sound\, usually\, and under-21s can get in\, but in the clubs people can dance and get close in to ya\, like we like. We’ll keep trying things.”

But these conventional measurements fall short when you’re assessing the impact of The Beach Boys. This band has birthed a torrent of hit singles and sold albums by the tens of millions. But its greater significance lies in the fact that The Beach Boys’ songs have forever changed the musical landscape\, profoundly influencing countless performing artists to follow. \n\n\n\nAt the helm of The Beach Boys is lead Singer & Critically acclaimed lyricist\,  Mike Love\, a founding member whose leadership has steered the band through decades of musical evolution. Grammy-winning songwriter Bruce Johnston joined The Beach Boys in 1965\, replacing Glenn Campbell\, who filled-in for Brian Wilson\, on vocals/bass\, when he retired from touring. Highly regarded in his field\, Johnston brought with him a wealth of experience from working with icons like Elton John and Pink Floyd\, The Byrds\, cementing his place among rock’s elite. \n\n\n\nThe current lineup\, including musical director Brian Eichenberger\, Christian Love\, Tim Bonhomme\, Jon Bolton\, Keith Hubacher\, Randy Leago\, and John Wedemeyer\, continues to honor and expand upon the band’s iconic Live performance legacy. This dedication is evident in their rigorous touring schedule\, with the band performing an average of 150 shows a year across a variety of venues worldwide. \n\n\n\nIn 2012\, The Beach Boys marked their 50th anniversary with a reunion tour and the release of “That’s Why God Made the Radio\,” which debuted at #3 on the Billboard charts\, their highest chart position in 37 years. This resurgence of interest highlighted the band’s continued relevance and their ability to resonate with both long-time fans and new listeners alike. \n\n\n\nTheir discography includes milestones like the triple platinum-certified Sounds of Summer and “The Warmth of the Sun\, which have contributed to a renewed interest in their music. Despite having numerous opportunities to retire at the height of their success\, such as after the release of the groundbreaking Pet Sounds masterpiece in 1966\, or after Mike Love’s concept album Endless Summer ignited a second generation of Beach Boys fans and stirred a tempest that rocked the music world\, or after recording Love’s co-written Golden Globe nominated “Kokomo” in 1988 and seeing it become its best-selling single ever\, or after being inducted that same year into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame\, The Beach Boys have chosen to continue touring and sharing music with the world\, a testament to their commitment to their art and fans. \n\n\n\nThe Beach Boys celebrated the 50th anniversary of the hit “Good Vibrations” – which is widely considered one of the greatest masterpieces in the history of rock and roll – in 2016 with a 50 Years of Good Vibrations tour\, underscoring the song’s status as a rock and roll masterpiece. Mike Love’s memoir\, GOOD VIBRATIONS: My Life as a Beach Boy\, further cemented their place in music history by becoming a New York Times Best Seller. \n\n\n\nRecent years have seen the release of comprehensive box sets like Feel Flows – The Sunflower and Surf’s Up Sessions 1969-1971” and Sail On Sailor – 1972\, exploring in-depth the band’s transformative periods. These collections\, featuring a plethora of previously unreleased tracks\, showcase the band’s versatility and profound influence on the music industry. \n\n\n\nIn 2023\, The Beach Boys were celebrated in the CBS tribute special “Grammy Salute to the Beach Boys\,” featuring performances by a diverse array of artists including Beck\, Brandi Carlile\, Michael McDonald\, Pentatonix\, St. Vincent\, Weezer\, Norah Jones\, John Legend\, and Mumford & Sons among others. \n\n\n\nLooking ahead\, the band is set to debut their official book\, The Beach Boys by The Beach Boys\, in April 2024 via Gensis Publications.  Published in a limited edition of only 500 copies worldwide\, the book offers an intimate look at the band’s journey from a Hawthorne garage band to international stardom\, enriched with rare photographs and historical documents. \n\n\n\nThe Beach Boys have been a significant presence at major events\, including Live Aid and the Statue of Liberty’s 100th Anniversary Salute\, showcasing their unparalleled ability to captivate audiences. Mike Love’s contributions as a songwriter\, in collaboration with Brian Wilson\, have produced timeless hits like “Surfin’\,” “Fun\, Fun\, Fun\,” and “California Girls\,” “Warmth of the Sun\,” “Good Vibrations\,”  and long list of other titles highlighting his enduring talent. \n\n\n\nContinuing to engage his fans with new and innovative projects\, in 2020 Love released the single “This Too Shall Pass”  featuring John Stamos aimed at offering hope during the Covid-19 pandemic. In 2019\, he released “12 Sides of Summer\,” featuring a mix of original songs\, covers\, and new versions of Beach Boys hits including “Surfin\,” “Surfin’ Safari” and “It’s Ok\,” featuring Hanson. The song marked Love’s second recording with Hanson\, after previously collaborating on “Finally it’s Christmas” for Love’s 2018 holiday album\, Reason For The Season\, which also features vocals from Love’s children: Ambha\, Brian\, Christian\, and Hayleigh Love. In 2017\, Love released a special double album entitled Unleash the Love featuring 13 previously unreleased songs and 14 re-recordings of Beach Boys classics to positive acclaim. \n\n\n\nMike Love’s philanthropy extends his influence far beyond the musical stage\, demonstrating a deep commitment to giving back to the community.  A Grammy® winner and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member\, Love has been at the forefront of numerous charitable efforts\, using his platform to support a wide range of causes. In 1990\, he responded to President George H. W. Bush’s call for service by founding StarServe\, an initiative aimed at motivating young people towards community service\, showcasing his early commitment to philanthropy. His philanthropic efforts were recognized when he and his wife Jacquelyne received the prestigious Points of Light Award\, highlighting his significant contributions to volunteer service and impacting lives across the globe. Through the Love Foundation\, Mike has supported initiatives focusing on education\, health\, environmental conservation\, and disaster relief\, showcasing a legacy of compassion and service alongside his storied musical career.

Following the critical acclaim of their their first LP Introduction\, Presence\, its 2021 follow-up A Way Forward pushed them to a wider audience—landing them their late-night TV debut on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and a string of sold out tours—and their 2023 record Strange Disciple has continued this momentum\, landing Rough Trade’s coveted #1 album of the year spot. Now a mainstay atop lists of the best live acts of recent years\, the band continue to charge synth-first into their latest chapter as a major festival draw at recent iterations of Austin City Limits Festival\, Desert Daze\, Pitchfork Festival\, Primavera Sound\, Corona Capital\, Outside Lands\, Bonnaroo and many others. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Greet DeathTrue to the band’s name\, death creeps into nearly all of Greet Death’s songs. And yet\, through this ever-present certainty\, the band finds the absolute core of what it means to be alive. \n\n\n\nSince 2011\, elementary school friends Logan Gaval and Harper Boyhtari have been writing songs full of big ideas and everyday details. Their music\, loud and full of melodic sensibility\, draws from shoegaze\, doomgaze\, and a little-bit-of-everything-gaze\, creating an emotionally maximalist palette. Writing separately but playing together (think of them as small-town Michigan’s Tom DeLonge and Mark Hoppus)\, they’ve been drawing in a devoted crowd ever since their unexpectedly successful debut Dixieland in 2017\, followed by their next-level opus New Hell in 2019. You’d be hard-pressed to find albums with such heart: ones flooded both with full-bloom feelings and the dumb stories we tell ourselves in order to get through the day. \n\n\n\nReturning six years later with Die In Love\, their third and best album\, Greet Death faces the great human problem—that we must go on living despite knowing we’re going to die\, and loving despite knowing we’re going to lose it all—with great sensitivity\, humor\, and flourish. With this album\, Greet Death has found a way to anthemize our suffering\, to turn it into one great\, big\, beautiful singalong: we’re all gonna die\, woo! \n\n\n\n“Everybody struggles in a roundabout way\,” goes the album’s opening lyric. No longer just honing in on their own pain\, the band is now using suffering as a jumping-off point\, a way to connect\, and ultimately love one another. “Emptiness is everywhere\, so hold each other close\,” Harper sings later on\, another of the album’s key lyrics. After years of performing their songs live\, the band has seen firsthand how keenly their audience connects to their music. “So I wanted to try to write something less fatalistic\, because I feel some kind of responsibility to help\,” says Logan. \n\n\n\nPrior to recording\, Logan had been listening to a lot of The Beatles and Paul McCartney’s solo work\, “because I was trying to figure out how to write a song that wasn’t just depressing\,” he says. He and Harper had been talking for a while about the direction of Die In Love; why not a bunch of love songs?” They tried to do just that\, but of course\, death came creeping in as usual. Die In Love speaks to the most tragic and beautiful scenario possible: dying beside the person you’ve spent your whole life loving. Tragic\, because we have to die. Beautiful\, because we might be able to do it together. \n\n\n\nThey recorded the album in Harper’s parents’ basement in Davisburg\, Michigan\, the place where she and Logan spent much of their preteen and adolescent years. They cut their teeth in that basement\, learning how to be a band around the time School of Rock came out and inspired in aughts kids a new possible life path. Logan and Harper covered Metallica and Blink-182 and wrote songs about batteries and frozen yogurt. Returning to that basement well over a decade later to record their third album felt like the back-to-basics moment they needed\, something that would take the pressure off after years away from the studio. \n\n\n\nEver since they were kids\, music has been the primary form of communication for Logan and Harper. Between them\, they’re able to mine the absolute essence of everything both through big picture ideas and small vignettes of life. In Logan’s songs we hear the former\, and in Harper’s the latter. While Logan takes big\, beautiful hits at existence\, Harper focuses on small shards. On her songs — ‘Country Girl’\, ‘Emptiness Is Everywhere’ and ‘Love Me When You Leave’ — she takes us through DVD viewings of Halloween\, buckets at KFC and family gatherings soundtracked by ‘Hotel California\,’ “that bullshit Eagles song”. Then\, she’ll deliver a Loganism in quick succession\, one absolutely devastating lyric that blitzes it all to pieces: “family is everywhere ‘til it’s not there.” \n\n\n\nDie In Love asks how we can possibly cope with all the inevitable loss we’ll experience in this life. How on Earth can anyone survive it? The point is that none of us do. So\, enjoy the bullshit Eagles songs while they last; the cheap beer\, the disappointing New Year’s Eve celebrations\, the family members and the lovers who choose to stay a little while. \n\n\n\n“Pain and loss. THE BALCONY FEATURES RESERVED SEATING.“If this is any indication of what Old Crow Medicine Show still has in store after so many recordings in its career\, we should count ourselves lucky.” – NPR Music \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOld Crow Medicine Show got their start busking on street corners in 1998\, from New York state and up through Canada\, winning audiences along the way with their boundless energy and spirit. They eventually found themselves in Boone\, North Carolina where they caught the attention of folk icon Doc Watson while playing in front of a pharmacy. He invited the band to play at his festival\, MerleFest\, and the rest is history. \n\n\n\nIt’s been over twenty years since these humble beginnings. The band has gone on to receive the honor of being inducted as members of the Grand Ole Opry and have won two Grammy Awards: “Best Folk Album” for Remedy (2014) and “Best Long Form Music Video” for Big Easy Express (2013). Additionally\, their classic single\, Wagon Wheel \, received the RIAA’s Double-Platinum certification in 2019 for selling over 2\,000\,000 copies while the band’s debut album O.C.M.S. has been certified Gold (500\,000 copies). The band’s latest Grammy nominated album Jubilee (Aug 2023) released via ATO Records. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOpening the show is MEELS \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMeels discovered her voice among the towering redwoods of her native California. Her music\, a fusion of small-town charm and the grandeur of nature\, traces her journey from the woods to NYU’s Clive Davis Institute in New York City to Los Angeles\, where she now resides with her dachshund\, Baltimore. Establishing herself as a fresh voice in Americana\, she released her debut album\, Tales from a Bird’s Bedroom\, in June 2024\, with her sophomore record “Across The Raccoon Strait” set for release this year. Rooted in nostalgia\, nature\, and intricate human connections\, Meels’ songwriting transforms melodies into stories and confessions. Her sound blends the warmth of ’60s and ’70s folk with timeless Americana and classic country influences. As of late she has been playing sets up and down the California coast\, picking oranges in the garden with her 85 year old Grandmother Marsha June\, and writing songs on her vintage quilted bed. As she continues to grow\, Meels strives to connect with listeners who see their own stories reflected in her music. \n\n\n\n\n\nPurchase Tickets LINK \n\n\n\n\n\nThis show is presented by WCC.  No outside food or beverages allowed in Wachholz College Center.Recommended age limit 10+

SUMMARY:Scott H. Biram with Sasquatch and the Sick-A-Billys at Monk's Bar
DESCRIPTION:Scott H. Biram brings his Dirty Old One Man Band Tour with special guests Sasquatch and The Sick-A-Billys to Monk’s Bar in Downtown Missoula at 8:00 pm Thursday\, October 9\n\n\n\n\n\nDoors @ 7:00 pm / 21+ Show \n\n\n\nScott H. Biram Live At Monk’sScott H. Biram unleashes a fervent display of conviction through\, not only the genuine blues\, classic country\, bluegrass\, and rock n roll\, but he seals the deal with punk\, heavy metal\, and frankly\, anything else he wants to. He’s The Dirty Old One Man Band. \n\n\n\nHe will still the room with haunting South Texas blues\, then turn it upside down\, into a truck driver’s mosh pit. Like he says\, it might be baptism\, or it might be murder\, either way…you gonna see the light. \n\n\n\nThis legally ordained preacher’s singing\, yodeling\, growling\, leering and brash preachin’ and hollerin’ is accompanied by sloppy riffs\, and licks literally yanked\, one at a time\, out of his collection of crusty\, worn out\, Gibson hollowbody guitars\, and battle axes. All this held down with a pounding backbeat brought forth by his amplified left foot\, and self customed stomp board. The remainder of this brutally charming one-man band consists of an unwieldy combination of beat-up amplifiers and old microphones strung together by a tangled mess of guitar cables. Don’t get too close! You gonna get some grease on ya! \n\n\n\nYears of compulsive touring\, along with a steady diet of down and dirty blues\, rock\, punk\, country\, and hillbilly have developed Scott H. Biram’s signature concoction\, attracting a hefty array of fans who dig the bizarre and twisted sides of the rock and roll spectrum. His live shows\, performed all over the world\, deliver a take no prisoners attitude\, a stomping\, pulsing John Lee Hooker-channeling\, and cockeyed tales of black water baptisms and murder\, all while romanticizing the on-the-road lifestyle. SCOTT H. BIRAM IS THE DIRTY OLD ONE MAN BAND. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n+Sasquatch And The Sick-A-BillysSerious songwriting from YEARS of hardship\, road experience and inner turmoil. The way it was supposed to be\, but with a new approach. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOver 10 years of relentless touring has cemented SASQUATCH as one of the most high gear\, powerhouse band leaders around… his bands\, The Sick-a-Billys\, Holy Hellraisers\, Full Moon Boys and his critically acclaimed King Sickabilly ‘One Man Band’ have all stayed true as far as vocals\, lyrics and his fiery guitar-work. Never giving up his song-writing mission… keeping real music alive and dangerous in the under-underground. Risen from a not so forgotten past\, when Live Music still meant something and the scene wasn’t a Pre-Apocalyptic Ghost Town… bloody fingertips and a soul-haunting voice will deliver you songs about Sin\, Love\, Murder\, Tornadoes and drinking until you wake up under a random barstool. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEventbrite Tickets LINK

SUMMARY:The Motet with Sunsquabi at The Wilma
DESCRIPTION:Logjam Presents welcomes The Motet for a live performance with Sunsquabi at The Wilma in Downtown Missoula at 8:00 pm Friday\, October 10\n\n\n\n\n\nDoors @ 7:00 pm \n\n\n\nLogjam Presents welcomes The Motet for a live performance with Sunsquabi at The Wilma in Downtown Missoula at 8:00 pm Friday\, October 10. \n\n\n\nTickets on sale at Logjam Presents Box Offices and online while supplies last. All tickets are general admission standing room only. All ages are welcome. \n\n\n\nTake a look at these tips to best prepare yourself for a smooth ticket buying experience. \n\n\n\nAdditional ticketing and venue information can be found here. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout The MotetA new beginning can happen at any time. No matter where you may be on your journey\, you can always start over once again. \n\n\n\nAfter 26 years\, nine albums\, and over a thousand shows\, The Motet embark on another chapter galvanized in equal measure by their longstanding bond and a surge of fresh energy. The genre-breaking group—Dave Watts [drums]\, Joey Porter [keys]\, Garrett Sayers [bass]\, Drew Sayers [keys\, saxophone]\, and Ryan Jalbert [guitar]—officially welcome Sarah Clarke [lead vocals] to the family. Their inimitable instrumental interplay proves just as fiery as ever\, while her addition only fuels their collective flame higher. \n\n\n\nThey ignite a new era with their 2024 full-length album and first with Sarah on the mic\, Love Time. \n\n\n\n“It’s our first step into the world as this iteration of The Motet\,” affirms Sarah. “It’s also an opportunity for folks to hopefully jump aboard and see where it goes.” \n\n\n\n“It is the beginning\,” agrees Dave. “We’re not in this for money or fame. We just want to be able to write songs and play shows. The fact we can travel as far as we do\, go through everything as a team\, and play music we wrote together is humbling. To see people coming out to shows\, smiling\, singing\, dancing\, and sustaining our careers is nothing short of a miracle.” \n\n\n\nThe Motet bubbled up out of Colorado back in 1998. Their catalog has grown to encompass a bevy of fan favorite albums. In between\, they have packed houses coast-to-coast. The band has impressively headlined their hometown Red Rocks Amphitheatre seven times as well as gracing the bills of Bonnaroo\, Bottlerock\, Electric Forest\, Bumbershoot\, Summer Camp\, and High Sierra\, to name a few. \n\n\n\nThe Motet first crossed paths with Sarah on tour. Blown away by her performance with her band Dirty Revival\, Dave kept in touch\, and asked her to sing at a handful of Bay Area shows in 2022. Sparks flew\, chemistry sizzled and the collaboration showed immense promise. She soon found herself in the studio with the group\, lending her powerhouse pipes to “Natural Light” and “We Got U\,” paving the way for the new album Love Time. \n\n\n\n“We’ve continued going down a path of funk\, soul\, and disco\, but Sarah takes it all up a notch\,” Dave smiles. “She has a unique way of approaching and lyrics\, and she collaborates with the rest of us really well. We’re on the same road\, but it has a different color to it.” \n\n\n\n“As soon as we started working together more\, I was so inspired\,” Sarah adds. “It’s an honor to play with musicians of their caliber\, and I knew The Motet was where I wanted to be.” They wrote and recorded at a comfortable pace\, locking into a groove throughout 2024. With Sarah based in Portland and the rest of the crew in Denver\, they carved out pockets of time to collaborate on what would become Love Time. \n\n\n\nThe Motet went on to tease the album with a series of singles\, including “Love Time\,” “Thinkin Too Much\,” and “Something Better.” On the latter\, a pliable guitar lick weaves around strains of organ anchored to a head-nodding beat. Sarah’s soulful delivery on “Something Better” simmers until it practically melts into the song’s strut. Through her lyrics and against this smooth backdrop\, she wrestles aloud with the insecurities and anxieties of parenthood. \n\n\n\n“When Joey sent me the music\, I was instantly drawn to it\,” Sarah exclaims. “It gave me these feelings of listening to old Marvin Gaye. I wanted to bring some of that energy. Joey\, Dave\, and I all have kids\, and there’s something about this world that can be a little scary as a parent. I was thinking of my son and wanting a better world for him.” \n\n\n\nOn “Thinkin Too Much\,” an electric guitar groove and slick drums shape the soundscape as the vocals resound with vibrancy and vitality. It culminates on a chantable chorus punctuated by a bit of wisdom\, “Don’t be thinkin’ too much about it.” \n\n\n\n“I had such a fun time developing the lyrics with Jalbert\,” Sarah says. “We quickly settled on a concept surrounding the difficulties that come with overthinking\, anxiety\, and how difficult it is to focus on the positive parts of life. Sometimes\, we have to focus on the little things that bring us joy instead of the bigger things that make us crazy. Perhaps\, that’s easier said than done.” \n\n\n\nOn “Love Time\,” a buoyant soundscape ushers bodies straight to the dancefloor. Revolving around slinky riffing and hypnotic synth-craft\, the tune reaches its climax at just the right moment\, “It’s make a little love time.” \n\n\n\n“‘Love Time’ was fun to write\, because I decided not to take it too seriously\,” Sarah reminisces. “I wanted something that felt bouncy and happy—It’s a silly\, flirty thing that plays with themes of attraction\, sex\, consent\, and the funny feeling you get when you meet a potential partner for the first time. It’s joyfully unserious. In true Motet fashion\, all we want you to do is dance.” \n\n\n\nThen\, there’s “Daydream.” A laidback slice of tripped-out funk bliss\, Sarah sets the scene with no shortage of bright color\, “Messages received\, from neon greenery amidst the digital buzz\, take me away.” \n\n\n\n“A few folks in the band have enjoyed psychedelics before\,” she grins. “We wanted to address some of the feelings that can come about in that space. It’s talking about freedom of mental expression\, but also kind of getting lost in that space in a very positive way.” \n\n\n\n“We’re all so thankful and excited to be here\,” Sarah leaves off. “It was amazing to work on a studio record together\, but the live show is where it’s at. Now\, I’d encourage you to come out and see it for yourself.” \n\n\n\nAs this new chapter gets underway\, there’s still nothing like getting lost in the world of The Motet. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout SunsquabiMusic brings us to our feet literally\, figuratively\, and spiritually. These EPs are a testament to staying grounded\, connected\, and hopeful.” \n\n\n\nSunSquabi has ignited the energy of listeners everywhere since 2015. They’ve unveiled a string of fan-favorite releases such as Odyssey [2016]\, Deluxe EP [2017]\, and Instinct [2019]. Praised by outlets like 303 Magazine\, JamBase\, and Live For Live Music\, they’ve also earned acclaim from Westword\, which proclaimed\, “The record has electrifying moments\,” and ThisSongIsSick\, which raved\, “SunSquabi never fails to bring the funk.” Along the way\, they’ve sold out venues coast-to-coast\, capturing one of their iconic Red Rocks gigs on SunSquabi (Live at Red Rocks). The trio has collaborated with String Cheese Incident\, Late Night Radio\, Lettuce\, and GRiZ\, among others. \n\n\n\nMuch of their newest music has emerged from the synergy of marathon jam sessions\, the energy of live gigs\, and their ever-evolving creative chemistry. During the pandemic\, SunSquabi deepened their bond as a band and stayed true to their core. \n\n\n\nJosh reflects\, “We’ve always stayed authentic to ourselves and the music we feel in our hearts. That’s what keeps us going and what our fans connect with.” \n\n\n\nIn 2025\, SunSquabi’s mission remains clear: to uplift\, inspire\, and connect. As Kevin concludes\, “If there’s one thing we hope to do\, it’s to lift people’s spirits and remind them there’s always a way to rise up.”

They met four years prior as freshman at St. Mary’s University in Winona\, MN. After being in a campus rock band for the first few years of college\, the guys created Koo Koo as an experimental project for SMU’s annual battle of the bands. The idea centered around crowd participation\, comedy and dance music\, stretching the concept of a what a “band” could be. \n\n\n\nThe next few years saw Bryan and Neil touring throughout the Midwest playing bars\, basements and barbecues. Meanwhile they released their first few albums and music videos. In 2010 the band was chosen to support Orange County superhero rock band The Aquabats on their east coast tour. This turned into more support slots with Reel Big Fish and Yo Gabba Gabba Live. Meanwhile Koo Koo began creating “dance-a-long” videos for their songs to help demonstrate the moves that audiences would need to know at their shows. These videos were unexpectedly a hit with elementary school teachers\, which led Koo Koo into the world of children’s music and becoming a “real” kids’ band. \n\n\n\nMore domestic and international touring followed as the guys hit the road with The Vans Warped Tour\, Frank Turner & Sleeping Souls\, and MC Lars. Concept albums about cats\, potty humor\, self-help\, holidays and Panera Bread added to the band’s discography. Simultaneously\, the popularity of their “brain break” dance-a-long videos continued to skyrocket in classrooms around the world. \n\n\n\nIn 2021 Bryan and Neil released their first non-concept album since 2013\, partnering with Twin Cities producer extraordinaire Lazerbeak. “Slow Clap” presents a more hiphop-centric sound with plenty of grooving bass lines and monstrous drums\, while retaining the catchy\, weirdo-energy fans expect from the band. \n\n\n\nThey stepped into a new realm with their TV series “Oh Yeah Heck Yeah.” This fastpaced variety clip show features music videos\, sketches\, animation and interactive games in their irreverent\, high-energy style. The first season consists of five tenminute episodes with each premiering a brand new Koo Koo song and video. You can watch their self-produced show on the Koo Koo YouTube channel. \n\n\n\nMore shows\, videos\, podcast episodes and antics are yet to come! We hope you’ll join in on the fun as we write the next chapter of Koo Koo.

SUMMARY:Old Man Ben Larson at Longstaff House
DESCRIPTION:Old Man Ben brings stories and songs from his newest release “New Tales from Old Montana” to Missoula’s Longstaff House at 7:00 pm Friday\, October 17\n\n\n\n\n\nSee Old Man Ben (who doesn’t look so old to me)  for songs\, stories\, and almost-cowboy-poetry at Longstaff House on October 17. \n\n\n\nBen Larson is a working musician\, poet\, historian and carpenter from Philipsburg\, Montana. He developed his storyteller ways over years of hitchhiking and wandering with his guitar and tape measure from Australia to Newfoundland and a thousand places in between. He lives in a handbuilt homestead with his public school teacher wife and two cowdogs\, where he alternates his days between carpentry and weaving his observations into gruff newspaper columns and eclectic\, yet deeply poetic songs. \n\n\n\nBen is a student of Montana history. His performances are filled with tales of real life in rural Montana\, ghosts of the past and wry words of wisdom compiled over years of living outside and working with his hands. From renovating an old saloon in the ghost town of Hasmark to revitalizing old Mining Songs with the Clark Chateau non-profit in Butte\, to seeking out the lost homesteads of his wife’s pioneer parents on the east side of the state\, Ben’s storytelling mediums span all geographic areas and aspects of Montana living. Out of those experiences\, Ben crafted a ninety minute compilation of original songs and poems\, historic anecdotes and stories. \n\n\n\nFrom Hobson to Scobey\, Wibaux to Darby\, Ben has performed in over 100 Montana towns and cities. Several albums of his music can be found on all streaming services\, including his most recent release “New Tales From Old Montana.” In support of his Montana Living History show\, Ben’s on a musical mission to bring his stories to all 56 counties of Montana; 41 down\, 15 to go!

SUMMARY:Mount Pom with Minot\, J.A.D.E. and Dylan Running Crane at Zootown Arts Community Center
DESCRIPTION:Punky-twangy Mount Pom plays with support from Minot (garage punk)\, J.A.D.E. (fresh rock & roll) and Dylan Running Crane (celestial folk) all in one show at Zootown Arts Community Center in Downtown Missoula at 7:30 pm Sunday\, October 19\n\n\n\n\n\nDoors @ 7:00 pm \n\n\n\nMount Pom is the work of a Frostburg\, MD based artist named Koda Murphy. She started performing early in 2019 and put out a self recorded demo EP at the end of the same year. In 2023 she finished the recording of her first studio recorded album\, Eating Up the Mountains. It was recorded at The Warren with Matt Wocjik. She writes songs for thought daughters and former (or current) emo kids. \n\n\n\nMinot is a lo-fi garage punk baking mixture made of two parts Midwestern and a dash of Northern New England. The shortest distance between two sonic points is made by leaving no room for lengthy melodic banter. Drenched in reverb to cover their inadequacies; This band has a driving rhythm of Mo Tucker’s brother and the belief that less is always more. Minot because….Why not? \n\n\n\nJ.A.D.E. is a high-energy band hailing from the mountains of small-town Western Montana. Their wide variety of influences shines brightly in their songs. This unique\, not quite rock\, not exactly pop sound with an edgy punk rock twist is addictive. They send driving rhythms\, interwoven melodies\, and powerful vocals straight through your ears deep into your heart and soul. When on stage they are focused on bringing a sound that inspires everyone to get on their feet and dance like the universe depends on it. \n\n\n\nDylan Running Crane is a singer-songwriter from Browning\, Montana\, a place that remains the subject of most of her work. Her vibe is country meets rez-folk meets tender and silly. Check out her work with Cry Baby – https://crybabymissoula.bandcamp.com/track/missoula

Including co-writes with Ryan Tedder\, Grant Boutin\, Danny Majic\, and more\, the eight-song collection explores budding relationships\, braving heartbreak\, and moving on.Through it all\, David’s piercing\, mature voice that transcends well beyond his age invites listeners into his emotional journey navigating young love. Mixing uncharted musical detours with their distinctive aggressive identity\, the band create a conceptual world unlike anything in their incredible catalog\, inviting the listener to experience the journey on their own terms. Though the story takes place in a hotel—The Blue Nowhere—don’t expect haunted corridors or shadowy figures behind every door. \n\n\n\n“It’s more of a feeling—those moments when you feel alone in the world and use that solitude to reflect on the human experience\,” Rogers clarifies. “It exists in a space where no one can find you\, hidden from all forms of reality—that’s The Blue Nowhere.” Trying something new is not unusual for the group\, who once again find ways to expand their musical palette while maintaining the band’s core sound. No more surprising is the album opener\, “Things We Tell Ourselves in the Dark\,” which sets the tone with INXS and Duran Duran-inspired textures\, even incorporating 90125-era Yes\, filtered through BTBAM’s signature chaos. Meanwhile\, “Absent Thereafter” is a quintessential BTBAM track—layered\, intense\, and unrelentingly dynamic\, this 10+ minute opus delivers everything a BTBAM fan could want and more. Between the Buried and Me remain allergic to stagnation\, and The Blue Nowhere proves their creative drive is stronger than ever. “It feels like a natural evolution for the band\,” says Rogers. “We’re not repeating ourselves. We’re lucky to have a fanbase that’s along for the ride. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Hail the SunWhen Hail The Sun entered the studio to record what would become their highly-anticipated fifth full-length album\, New Age Filth\, they knew they were setting out to release their most ambitious material to date. The band\, consisting of Donovan Melero (vocals/drums)\, Aric Garcia (guitar)\, John Stirrat (bass) and Shane Gann (guitar)\, spent five weeks with producer Kris Crummett which resulted in their most collaborative and diverse album yet. \n\n\n\n“Domino”\, the energetic first single off of the record\, showcases the band’s technical prowess with instruments dancing over one another as vocalist Donovan Melero belts out his signature high-pitched vocals. Lyrically\, the track centers around reflection of self and how past actions can affect others. On writing “Domino”\, Melero stated\, “Reflecting is important. What we might discover in reflection can be a hard pill to swallow. I’m only as big as my weakest character flaw. I’m told that I talk a lot in my sleep\, and these are the things I think I say.” \n\n\n\nHail the Sun’s New Age Filth includes tracks that are heavier and poppier at the same time\, proving their ability to be extremely technical in instrumentation while also unleashing some of the catchiest hooks they’ve ever created. The influence from genre-melding predecessors like Coheed and Cambria\, At The Drive-In\, and even Yes is apparent\, but the sound is still very much a natural evolution from Hail The Sun’s past work. \n\n\n\nThe shifting musical compositions on New Age Filth perfectly accompany the emotive lyrical outpour found across the album. Continuing along the theme of reflection\, Melero weaves through painful and emotional experiences of love\, cynicism\, and touches on how awful humans can be to one another. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Delta SleepWhat started as an earnest foray into pushing the boundaries of fledging math-rock\, over the course of thirteen years has morphed into something much more for Canterbury (via Brighton) quartet Delta Sleep. Continuously surprising their listeners with every release by constantly tweaking and perfecting their sound\, so far the bands expansive repertoire defies to be constrained by any strict sub-genre or category: molding their sound into something that goes beyond the labels of just math-rock.

SUMMARY:Raynes live with Meggie McDonald at Monk's Bar
DESCRIPTION:British-American trio Raynes debuts with Meggie McDonald opening at Monk’s Bar in Downtown Missoula at 9:00 pm -1:00 am Friday\, October 24\n\n\n\n\n\nDoors @ 8:00 pm \n\n\n\nMissoula! Raynes is finally making our Montana debut and we cannot WAIT to meet you there. Join us at Monk’s Bar on Friday\, October 24. British-American trio Raynes formed when Mat Charley and Joe Berger\, both born and raised in North Dakota\, came across a video of UK native Mark Race on Instagram and fell in love—first with his face\, then with his voice. After a few messages and phone calls\, Mark was on a plane to the US to start a band (a few months later\, he had the flight number tattooed on his arm). \n\n\n\nSince then\, Raynes has signed with Sony Music Publishing and released six singles and four EPs\, drawing hundreds of thousands of monthly listeners and tens of millions of streams and earning press in Billboard and People. They’ve performed at BottleRock Festival 2025 and in clubs\, concert halls\, and amphitheatres across the US and the UK\, developing a reputation as a high-energy live act. \n\n\n\nKnown for their intricate vocal harmonies and unique instrumentation as well as their poetic lyrics\, Raynes has yet to come up with a good answer as to what genre their music falls under. With all three members coming from different musical backgrounds\, the boys combine their diverse influences to form a group that draws inspiration from around the globe\, incorporating elements of folk\, rock\, and chamber pop with Celtic and world music to create a wholly original—and difficult to categorize—sound. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMeggie McDonald \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMeggie McDonald was born and raised in the mountains of Montana. Her journey has taken her between Montana and Oklahoma\, where she has spent years performing\, writing\, and recording songs that weave together honesty and heart. \n\n\n\nHer music has found listeners all over the world\, connecting her lyrics to the hearts of people far beyond her roots and the mountains she calls home. She has collaborated with artists including Rockwell Ryan Ripperger (platinum-certified Stephen Speaks)\, Bryant Lamar\, and Beau Tyler (We The Ghost). Now back in Montana\, she’s gathering a new collection of songs born from quiet nights and wide-open skies. \n\n\n\nHer music is available on Apple Music\, Spotify\, and all major streaming platforms.https://meggiemcdonald.com \n\n\n\n\n\nEventbrite Tickets LINK \n\n\n\nAges 18+ / $5 surcharge at the door for under 21

At the age of seven\, he formed a band with his siblings which set the stage for his musical ambitions. \n\n\n\nHailed by Rolling Stone as one of the “hottest acts right now\,” Zach Top is in the midst of a breakout year following the release of his acclaimed debut album\, Cold Beer & Country Music. Produced by Carson Chamberlain\, the album landed on several “Best of 2024” lists\, including Rolling Stone\, Billboard and The New York Times\, who praises\, “the music is airtight and fluent—a demonstration of vivid coloring within hard lines.” Known for his “thrilling” (Holler) live performances\, Top recently wrapped an extensive run with Lainey Wilson and kicked off his “Cold Beer & Country Music” headline tour in January. The highly anticipated trek\, which includes two nights at Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium\, sold out just hours after tickets went on sale. The CMA Award-nominee has also shared stages with notable artists such as Dwight Yoakam and Billy Strings\, and will join Alan Jackson for select upcoming shows. Widely respected by his peers\, Top also recently collaborated with Billy Strings for an exclusive Apple Music Nashville Sessions three-song EP\, which is available now. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Jake WorthingtonFor Big Loud Texas traditionalist Jake Worthington\, country music is in his DNA. The La Porte\, Texas native was raised on his grandfather’s porch performances of Ray Price\, Merle Haggard\, and George Jones\, and soon picked up his own Gibson acoustic to realize the breadth of his soon-to-be-classic\, wide\, and wild voice. Now\, Worthington breathes fresh life into dance halls\, beer joints\, and ballrooms from Texas to Tennessee with his 13-song\, self-penned debut\, Jake Worthington\, recent Miranda Lambert collaboration “Hello Shitty Day\,” “I’m The One (feat. Marty Stuart)” and latest “It Ain’t The Whiskey.” Captivating the masses with his honky-tonk stylings\, the singer-songwriter has brought two-step anthems to venues across the country\, opening for Lambert\, Cody Johnson\, Lainey Wilson\, Riley Green\, Pat Green\, Hank Williams Jr.\, ERNEST\, Ian Munsick\, and more. Worthington is also a sought-after duet partner across the Nashville landscape\, including guest spots on Brooks and Dunn’s Reboot II on “I’ll Never Forgive My Heart\,” HIXTAPE: Vol. 3: DIFFTAPE with Reba McEntire on “Is It Cold In Here\,” ERNEST’s 2023 extension FLOWER SHOPS (THE ALBUM): Two Dozen Roses on “Heartache In My 100 Proof\,” and more. “I believe in country music as much as I believe in my next breath\,” Worthington declares\, and “blame it on my raising\, but I think there ought to be room for country in country music.”
