SUMMARY:Daisy Chain presents Jason Dea West / Way Back West Tour with Riddy Arman + Red McAdam w/Dylan Running Crane at Monk's Bar
DESCRIPTION:Daisy Chain presents Jason Dea West as he takes you on a wild ride back to the roots on “The Way Back West” Tour with local openers Riddy Arman\, Red McAdam\, Dylan Running Crane and Old Time (OT) Hollow at Monk’s Bar in Downtown Missoula at 8:00 pm Friday\, October 23\n\n\n\n\n\nDoors @ 7:00 pm \n\n\n\nJason Dea WestJason has been writing\, recording and performing folk music around the country for some decades. In his early years he traveled the country by freight train\, hitchhiking and questionable old vehicles\, cutting his teeth as young buskers on the streets of New Orleans\, Nashville\, Austin\, Chicago and San Fransisco. He has toured extensively with different bands throughout the lower 48 States and Alaska\, appearing in barn dances and taverns\, theaters and music festivals\, the circus and vaudeville circuits and on radio and in film\, forging and delivering their own unique blend of American folk and western music. He is a self-built\, independent artists who has gained the attention of many passionate fans all over the world.Wests’ poignant songwriting breathes new life into vintage sounds of country\, folk and blues. From fierce guitar and harmonica instrumentals to humorous and heartfelt song and story\, Jason never strays far away from his traditional untraditional anarchic punk-folk roots. They have shared the stage with various other artists including Matt Heckler\, The Resonant Rogues and Larry And His Flask. In recent years Jason has worked as direct support for Sierra Ferrel\, Lostdog Street Band & The Bridge City Sinners.+RIDDY ARMANRiddy Arman is a La Honda Records recording artist. Fans have long anticipated her debut release since her popular performance video\, shot by Western AF in a Montana Rail Link boxcar\, where the world was introduced to her distinct\, sultry lope.Against the bucolic and industrial backdrop of the video\, Arman is clearly in her element\, clad with ranch worn clothing. It is obvious she lives a lifestyle many romanticize\, but few truly understand. The chapters of her life so far make for a story much richer than a common western archetype. Unafraid to take new paths\, Arman has traveled across the country — from the farmlands of the Midwest to the bustling streets of New York City\, and now Montana— writing songs\, working as a ranch hand\, and practicing an Agrarian lifestyle.Arman herself has chosen to take a different path\, embracing isolation and interpreting her life through the rural landscape that adorns her lyrics. With fierce honesty and a voice that immediately commands attention\, on her debut record\, Riddy Arman has proven herself as much more than just a cowboy\, singing her lonely songs.+Red McAdam with Dylan Running CraneAlthough he was born in the industrial heart of New Jersey\, Red McAdam’s mother Maggie made damn sure to rear him on country and folk music. She served up a steady diet of celebrated songwriters and singers on their kitchen radio day after day\, from classics like Patsy Cline and Ernest Tubb to burgeoning legends like Lucinda Williams and Brad Paisley. Red’s father Bartholomew\, a lifelong bass player\, took it from there\, teaching him banjo\, mandolin\, bass\, and guitar. \n\n\n\nA self-proclaimed ‘Western fraud\,’ Red makes no effort to fit the country mold\, but rather draws from the unique and largely unsung landscape of his world. Stranger-than-fiction episodes from his time on the road\, preposterous characters with bizarre motives\, and plain old bullshit mingle with vulnerable expressions of a tumultuous life and a threadbare heart. A first responder\, passionate outdoorsman\, recovering alcoholic\, and heartbroken songwriter—Red earned whatever authenticity the country audience craves through his life\, not place of birth.McAdam’s playful outsider country music presents an inventive vision of what the genre can be. His rich\, risky blend of traditional honky-tonk and Western swing draws on indie rock\, R&B\, and beyond\, reflecting a lifelong love of all music and disdain for genres and rules of any kind. A consummate road dog\, he brings his frenetic\, dynamic\, and occasionally delirious performances to dives\, dancehalls\, clubs\, and theaters across the country. Listeners will recognize the Lone Star eccentricities of Terry Allen and Guy Clark\, forlorn folk sensibilities of Elizabeth Cotton and Karen Dalton\, and the driving genre-bending of The Band and Bob Dylan. \n\n\n\nOver the past several years\, he spent time working in National Parks and schools\, bars and the backwoods\, and most recently between emergency departments and ambulances across the country. After a spell hidden away in his high desert Arizona home\, Red hit the road full tilt. In two barnstorming years\, he and his band played 37 states over 13 tours\, logging 90\,000 miles and averaging over 200 shows a year. Red now lives outside of Austin in his 1976 Dodge Jamboree as the newest resident of the storied hill country and absolute greenest in a hallowed lineage of Texas songwriters. \n\n\n\nDYLAN RUNNING CRANE (indie folk and country)+OLD TIME (OT) HOLLOWClawhammer Banjo & Old-Time Music

SUMMARY:Tanner Laws Band at The Top Hat
DESCRIPTION:Logjam Presents welcomes the Tanner Laws Band for a live concert performance at The Top Hat in Downtown Missoula at 10:30 pm Friday\, October 30\n\n\n\n\n\nDoors @ 10:00 pm \n\n\n\nLogjam Presents welcomes the Tanner Laws Band for a live concert performance at The Top Hat in Downtown Missoula at 10:30 pm Friday\, October 30. \n\n\n\n\n\nEVENT WEB PAGE \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Tanner LawsBorn and raised in Thompson Falls\, deep in the mountains of Western Montana\, Tanner Laws grew up around the things that make country music worth writing: steep mountains\, wide valleys\, rolling hills\, hard winters\, rodeos\, rivers\, and the kind of people who mean what they say. He studied Civil Engineering at Montana Tech — and was good at it — but the songs kept coming\, and eventually the songs won. \n\n\n\nTanner spent years building his craft the honest way: playing bars\, rodeos\, and dance halls across Big Sky Country before forming the Tanner Laws Band in 2024. The lineup reads like a strange and perfect accident — jazz majors from the University of Montana handling drums and bass\, a software engineer pulling double duty on electric guitar and pedal steel\, a killer fiddle player holding the high lonesome end\, and a former engineer up front with a voice built for the wide open spaces he writes about. In their first year together\, they were named Missoula’s Best New Band. \n\n\n\nThe sound they’ve landed on is rooted in country and folk storytelling — influenced by Alan Jackson\, Keith Whitley\, and the Turnpike Troubadours. These are songs about hunting and fishing\, about losing and learning\, about the specific kind of pride that comes from a place most people only drive through. There’s fiddle and pedal steel up front\, a rhythm section that can swing a dance floor\, and lyrics that sound like they were earned rather than written. \n\n\n\nThe band hit the road immediately and hasn’t slowed down — opening for Clint Black\, Colby Acuff\, Gary Allan\, Rodney Atkins\, Corey Kent\, Braxton Keith\, Dustin Lynch\, Sam Barber\, and others\, while racking up Northwest CMA awards for Songwriter of the Year\, Male Vocalist of the Year\, and Favorite Local Solo Artist. They’ve played the Miles City Bucking Horse Sale\, the Calgary Stampede\, countless rodeos and county fairs\, and listening rooms from Montana to Atlanta. \n\n\n\nTanner Laws isn’t waiting on Nashville to discover him. He’s building something real\, in his own backyard\, for the people who actually live the life he sings about.

SUMMARY:Disney's Frozen - The Broadway Musical at Missoula Children's Theatre
DESCRIPTION:Experience the magic of MCT’s production of Frozen – The Broadway Musical at Missoula Children’s Theatre with performances at various times from Friday\, December 4 thru Sunday\, December 20\n\n\n\n\n\nKept away inside the walls of their castle in the kingdom of Arendelle\, princesses Anna and Elsa have only each other. \n\n\n\nBut once she’s crowned queen\, a secret that Elsa has been keeping bursts into the open\, and her dangerous powers trap Arendelle in eternal winter. \n\n\n\nAfter Elsa flees into the mountains\, Anna sets off on an epic (and chilly) journey to find her. \n\n\n\nAlong the way\, she finds Kristoff\, his loyal reindeer Sven\, and the carefree snowman Olaf. \n\n\n\nCan they help Anna bring her sister home? \n\n\n\nBased on the Academy Award-winning animated film\, Disney’s Frozen is a beautiful story about how the warmth of friendship can melt even the iciest heart. \n\n\n\n“For the first time in forever” see Disney’s magical musical that took the world by snowstorm and wouldn’t “Let it Go”! \n\n\n\nFrozen is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). \n\n\n\nAll authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI. www.mtishows.com
