DESCRIPTION:RSVP to attend Open AIR’s 3-day April Workshop Series “We Know This Forest” let by Candace Garlock at Traveler’s Rest State Park in Lolo 10:00 am to 3:00 pm Mondays April 13\, April 20 and April 27\n\n\n\n\n\nWE KNOW THIS FOREST\, led by Open AIR Spring artist-in-residence and educator Candace Garlock\, is a community-based art project that uses the metaphor of a dense\, shifting forest to explore the nonlinear\, often unpredictable experience of living with chronic conditions and disability. It creates space for participants to share stories\, images\, and reflections that honor both the difficulty and resilience found in these lived landscapes while exploring shared ecological memory and identity through collaborative woodcut and casting workshops. While the project invites people with chronic conditions and disabilities to engage\, participation does not require disclosing any diagnosis\, disability status\, or health information unless they personally choose to share it.For more information about this national project\, visit www.weknowthisforest.com. \n\n\n\nThis workshop meets on 3 consecutive Mondays\, and we hope to work with a consistent group of 5-8 individuals. DESCRIPTION:(Rescheduled from April 15) – Meet up at 5:30 pm Monday\, April 20 with Women Bike Missoula for a Birthday Ride from Target Range Elementary School to the Madison Street Underbridge near downtown\, and back to The Trough\n\n\n\n\n\nDon’t miss our 13th annual Birthday Ride on Monday\, April 20! (Rescheduled from April 15)We consider this our kick-off celebration to commemorate the formation of Women Bike Missoula back in 2013.  We’ll meet at 5:30 pm. in the parking lot of Target Range School as it should be empty by that time of day.  We switched it around since last year as we ended up riding back in the dark which was not safe.  So we’ll start on the west side of town\, loop up and around through to the Madison Street underbridge for a flat and easy 10-12 mile loop back to The Trough. Most of us choose to have dinner there (and maybe some birthday cake?) but of course that is optional.  This is close to the school so there will be a limited ride back to the cars.  All levels of riders and bikes\, including e-bikes\, are welcome.  As always\, helmets are strongly suggested and it’s good to have tools and an extra innertube just in case. Also\, lights and/or reflective gear are always good to have in these evening rides just in case.
