His music carries the spirit of American roots\, shaped by the timeless sounds of singers such as Sam Cooke\, Ray Charles\, ChrisStapleton\, Marcus King\, and Allen Stone. \n\n\n\nFrom rural barrooms to concert stages\, Joe has performed across Montana and beyond\, building a devoted fan base through raw\, honest performances and magnetic stage presence. His debut EP\, Montana\, showcases five original tracks that blend storytelling with a vintage-meets-modern sound. \n\n\n\nIn 2024\, Joe gained national attention as a contestant on Season 26 of NBC’s The Voice\, where he performed Stealers Wheel’s “Stuck in the Middle with You” during the blind auditions. We hope attendees will consider membership of our organization to support fiddletastic events like this. \n\n\n\n3pm Saturday June 7 \n\n\n\nFIDDLE WORKSHOPWe’ll dig into mostly old-time fiddle tunes and take a very hands-on approach. I’ll break down the tunes a phrase at a time\, first melody\, then bowing\, and then piecing things together. We’ll touch on rhythm and syncopation\, intonation\, etc. The tune is the vehicle\, so mostly we’ll be playing\, and there will be a lot of repetition to help you get the tunes and these ideas into your hands! \n\n\n\nSuggested experience level: If you’re comfortable with the instrument and have at least a small repertoire of tunes then you’ll be fine. The skeleton of the tune is taught first\, and then built upon with additional bowing\, variations\, etc. You can go as far as you like\, or just stick with the basics. \n\n\n\nGENERAL INFOA recorder is highly recommended. Since developing ear training skills is one of the workshop goals\, written music will not be provided.
