SUMMARY:Raynes live with Meggie McDonald at Monk's Bar
DESCRIPTION:British-American trio Raynes debuts with Meggie McDonald opening at Monk’s Bar in Downtown Missoula at 9:00 pm -1:00 am Friday\, October 24\n\n\n\n\n\nDoors @ 8:00 pm \n\n\n\nMissoula! Raynes is finally making our Montana debut and we cannot WAIT to meet you there. Join us at Monk’s Bar on Friday\, October 24. British-American trio Raynes formed when Mat Charley and Joe Berger\, both born and raised in North Dakota\, came across a video of UK native Mark Race on Instagram and fell in love—first with his face\, then with his voice. After a few messages and phone calls\, Mark was on a plane to the US to start a band (a few months later\, he had the flight number tattooed on his arm). \n\n\n\nSince then\, Raynes has signed with Sony Music Publishing and released six singles and four EPs\, drawing hundreds of thousands of monthly listeners and tens of millions of streams and earning press in Billboard and People. They’ve performed at BottleRock Festival 2025 and in clubs\, concert halls\, and amphitheatres across the US and the UK\, developing a reputation as a high-energy live act. \n\n\n\nKnown for their intricate vocal harmonies and unique instrumentation as well as their poetic lyrics\, Raynes has yet to come up with a good answer as to what genre their music falls under. With all three members coming from different musical backgrounds\, the boys combine their diverse influences to form a group that draws inspiration from around the globe\, incorporating elements of folk\, rock\, and chamber pop with Celtic and world music to create a wholly original—and difficult to categorize—sound. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMeggie McDonald \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMeggie McDonald was born and raised in the mountains of Montana. Her journey has taken her between Montana and Oklahoma\, where she has spent years performing\, writing\, and recording songs that weave together honesty and heart. \n\n\n\nHer music has found listeners all over the world\, connecting her lyrics to the hearts of people far beyond her roots and the mountains she calls home. She has collaborated with artists including Rockwell Ryan Ripperger (platinum-certified Stephen Speaks)\, Bryant Lamar\, and Beau Tyler (We The Ghost). Now back in Montana\, she’s gathering a new collection of songs born from quiet nights and wide-open skies. \n\n\n\nHer music is available on Apple Music\, Spotify\, and all major streaming platforms.https://meggiemcdonald.com \n\n\n\n\n\nEventbrite Tickets LINK \n\n\n\nAges 18+ / $5 surcharge at the door for under 21

SUMMARY:Chamber of Screams Halloween Murder Mystery & Escape Room Party at Waters Edge Winery & Bistro
DESCRIPTION:Check in at Waters Edge Winery and Bistro in Kalispell to be part of their Chamber of Screams Halloween Murder Mystery & Escape Room Party 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm Friday\, October 31\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Chamber of Screams: A Winery of WhispersOn Halloween night\, the mists roll in across the lake\, and Waters Edge Winery & Bistro becomes something more than a place of wine and cheer. Behind the lights\, laughter\, and music\, an ancient dread awakens as you step into the world of the Chamber of Screams—a haunted house where shadows have secrets… and one of the secrets turns deadly. The cast members of the Chamber of Screams Haunted House have spent the season devoted to terror: perfecting jump scares\, crafting maze-like halls\, and bringing nightmares to life. To reward the ensemble for their tireless efforts in frightening Blackwood Falls’ unsuspecting visitors\, management has arranged a mini-celebration during the nightly intermission\, tucked away in the break room. But as the wine flows and the candles flicker\, something feels… wrong. You’ve clocked in for the shift. Tonight\, you are not just a spectator: you are a suspect. Among the laughs\, the creaks of old floorboards\, and the illusions of ghoulish props\, one of the crew won’t survive the night unscathed—or perhaps\, one won’t survive at all.Hold tight to your wine glass: each guest is granted a complimentary pour upon arrival\, a small token to toast the evening’s dark delights. But that token won’t shield you from what is to come. Rumors swirl of strange footsteps echoing from locked rooms\, masks left carelessly behind\, and mad whispers in the walls. And there’s more. Woven into the game is a dedicated escape room experience—puzzles\, codes\, and locked doors hidden in the corridors of fear. Solve them\, and you may reveal clues to the murderer’s identity. Fail\, and be prepared to wander the haunted house\, haunted by your doubts. There will be prizes too—awarded not just for guessing whodunit\, but for creativity\, courage\, costume\, and perhaps for the ones bold enough to dive into the deepest shadows. Dare to win them all?The lights dim. The door creaks. The first scream echoes. Will you unmask the killer before they strike again? Or will the Chamber of Screams claim another victim? \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets via Eventbrite LINK

DESCRIPTION:Logjam Presents welcomes Nekromantix for a live Halloween performance with Goners UK at The Wilma in Downtown Missoula at 9:00 pm Friday\, October 31\n\n\n\n\n\nDoors @ 8:00 pm \n\n\n\nLogjam Presents welcome Nekromantix for a live Halloween performance with Goners UK at The Wilma in Downtown Missoula at 9:00 pm Friday\, October 31. \n\n\n\nTickets on sale at Logjam Presents Box Offices and online while supplies last. All tickets are general admission standing room only. All ages are welcome. \n\n\n\nTake a look at these tips to best prepare yourself for a smooth ticket buying experience. \n\n\n\nAdditional ticketing and venue information can be found here. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout NekromantixNever self-serious while far from a joke at the same time\, Nekromantix is a musical unearthing of the biggest themes from the greatest works of monster\, zombie\, vampire\, werewolf and b-horror fiction; ripped from literature\, comic book pages or classic celluloid. Nekromantix chases a darkly romantic muse with an even darker humor. \n\n\n\nThe Nekromantix catalog boasts enduring genre classics like the unapologetically hooky yet undeniably fierce “Who Killed the Cheerleader?” and “Gargoyles Over Copenhagen” alongside subversively sentimental cuts like “Haunted Cathouse” and “Subcultural Girl.” There are echoes of rock n’ roll’s greats and punk rock icons alike\, all with modern flair. \n\n\n\nA Symphony of Wolf Tones & Ghost Notes broadens the Nekromantix legacy with expansive ambition that never sacrifices the trio’s inherent grittiness\, furiously stoking and reshaping the flames of the creative vision begun in Denmark with legendary labels like Nervous Records\, through the band’s master classes in punk n’ roll albums stateside with Hellcat Records\, the label cofounded by Tim Armstrong and Brett Gurewitz. \n\n\n\nArmed with his signature coffin bass\, chilling baritone\, monstrous expressions and ten-stories-tall haircut\, Kim Nekroman has earned tremendous respect\, admiration and goodwill from a fiercely dedicated legion of hard-partiers\, rabble-rousers\, well-meaning degenerates\, grease monkeys\, outlaw bikers\, nostalgic tastemakers and forward-thinking punks. It’s a crew of supporters as diverse as the otherwise classic and timeless music the Danish-born California transplant has unleashed as leader of Nekromantix. \n\n\n\nNekroman’s notorious quiff is as instantly recognizable as the coffin bass he’s slapped into submission on nine studio albums\, countless worldwide tours and festivals. The quiff\, of course\, combines the midcentury rebel style of the pompadour and flattop with the punk attitude of New York and Europe from the late 70s. It’s a fitting symbol for the style of music Nekromantix has perfected into an art form\, a rollicking psychobilly sound with reverence for the genre’s origins and predecessors\, infused with an iconoclastic boundlessness that refuses to abandon the electric catharsis of unadulterated fun. \n\n\n\nReturn of the Loving Dead (2002) marked a career resurgence and subcultural breakthrough for what was previously a feverishly cherished underground band best known outside of North America\, via now legendary records like Curse of the Coffin (1991)\, Brought Back to Life (1994)\, Demons Are a Girl’s Best Friend (1996) and their unstoppable debut\, Hellbound (1989). The new millennium brought the band to America (at first to tour and eventually\, to stay)\, conjuring into the world new Nekro landmarks in the forms of Dead Girls Don’t Cry (2004)\, Life is a Grave & I Dig It! (2007) and What Happens in Hell\, Stays in Hell (2011)\, as Nekroman steered the band through shifting lineups and energized shows with bands like Rancid and Reverend Horton Heat. \n\n\n\nNekroman has been joined by skilled guitarist Francisco Mesa for nearly a decade now\, with drummer Adam Guerrero bringing a fresh injection of passionate enthusiasm to the band in 2014. A Symphony of Wolf Tones & Ghost Notes is a fertile proving ground for a reenergized lineup that fans of the band have already loved for two years. New songs like “Glow in the Dark\,” “War Bats” and “Resting Witch Face” are instant classics\, standing mightily alongside the greatest Nekromantix songs enduring in their set list. \n\n\n\nThere are some bands whose sound\, image and front person became synonymous with an entire subculture\, whether as originators of a particular style\, a crucial innovator among a handful of likeminded artists\, or simply as the best embodiment of everything a specific style has to offer. Rock historians may debate who reigns supreme among Black Sabbath\, Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple\, but there’s no denying they are all heavy metal titans. When someone says “Lemmy” or “Strummer” or “Blondie\,” certain feelings are immediately invoked. There’s a palpable energy in the air among hardcore acolytes and culture mavens. It’s a kind of iconic resonance that transcends boundaries. \n\n\n\nTo their dedicated army of supporters around the world and across every dimension\, Nekromantix stands tall among the ghosts in rock n’ roll’s undead cemetery. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Goners UKFew bands consistently bring the energy that Goners UK brings; whether on record or live shows\, the hometown heroes are unwavering in their delivery of fast paced\, heavy handed\, no-bullshit punk rock.  \n\n\n\nHailing from the snowy caps of Bozeman\, Montana\, the quintet stops at literally nothing to bring their storied tunes to every corner of the map.  \n\n\n\nSelf starting. Hard working. Relentless in their pursuit of progressing in every show\, every album\, every song; Goners UK is a force to be reckoned with.

SUMMARY:Afterglow - Solo Exhibition by Colt Idol at Cassens Fine Art
DESCRIPTION:Meet artist Colt Idol and check out his latest work “Afterglow” with a live painting demo from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm\, and exhibit opening reception 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on First Friday\, November 7 at Cassen’s Fine Art in Downtown Hamilton\n\n\n\n\n\nThere are evanescent moments in the West when everything slows. The sky holds its color a little longer\, and light falls over the land\, making everything shine with life. That’s the feeling Colt Idol captures. It’s the moment in time where the world is a bit calmer\, and the West shines a little brighter. The color may be soft or searing\, the subject familiar or new\, but each of Colt’s paintings holds that unmistakable energy that happens just after the light starts to go. It’s the West\, not in motion\, but at rest. This show celebrates that moment. The one that comes just after\, when everything feels sharp and still. We call this Afterglow. \n\n\n\nPlease join us for Idol’s live painting demonstration in the gallery on Friday\, November 7\, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. The artist reception will also be on Friday\, November 7\, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm

SUMMARY:Bibelot - a collection of textile works by artist Zola Kell / First Friday at Bernice's Bakery
DESCRIPTION:Stop in to Bernice’s Bakery in Missoula from 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm First Friday\, November 7 for a textile arts exhibition “Bibelot” with artist Zola Kell\n\n\n\n\n\nZola Kell is an installation and mixed-media artist currently interested in creating playful objects. Working with primarily salvaged materials\, she explores how to use textiles to give life to sculptural forms. Along with a variety of traditional media\, she often blends digital technology and alternative photography to produce the imagery and textures she wants for installation pieces. Her pieces range from reveries on mythic figures that were imprinted on her in childhood and investigations into the magic of the natural world. Currently\, she is exploring themes of nostalgia\, family\, and identity through reimagined toys and playthings. No longer satisfied with drawing windows into which viewers can look\, Zola seeks to build worlds for you to inhabit– each a microcosm that reflects her interior reality. In “bibelot\,” Zola plays with imagery from childhoods that span more than her fair share of generational experience – drawing on toys and figures that would have been at home as children’s playthings at the turn of the century or in the 1930’s. She is less fascinated with these objects as harking back to a ‘simpler time’ and more curious about how certain icons continue to return again and again as imagery of childhood wonderment: the horse\, the moon\, the swan\, and the house. What is it about these characters that continues to hold our attention?

SUMMARY:Rachel Sumner and Traveling Light at Longstaff House
DESCRIPTION:Rachel Sumner & Traveling Light bring an evening of captivating bluegrass to Missoula’s Longstaff House 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm Friday\, November 7\n\n\n\n\n\nFresh off a first place win at the 2025 Telluride Bluegrass Festival band competition\, Rachel Sumner & Traveling Light have been captivating audiences throughout the northeast. With songs as sweet and biting as the nectar and venom in her voice\, Sumner’s lyric-forward writing and penchant for snaking chord progressions demand something far beyond folk conventions\, highlighting the acrobatic range of her brilliant bandmates Kat Wallace (fiddle) and Mike Siegel (upright bass). \n\n\n\nSumner is no stranger to the stage. She spent her early career on the bluegrass circuit\, singing and writing with the genre-bending roots group Twisted Pine. Since setting out on her own\, Sumner’s songs have been critically acclaimed: winning the 2021 John Lennon Award in the folk category for her song “Radium Girls (Curie Eleison);” earning a spot in the Kerrville New Folk Competition; and being chosen four consecutive years as one of the top Massachusetts entries in NPR’s Tiny Desk Competition. Rachel Sumner & Traveling Light released their debut LP in the summer of 2022 to critical acclaim.
