The Western US dates kick off Monday\, March 23rd in Ventura\, CA at the Majestic Ventura Theater and run through Sunday\, May 17th in Pomona\, CA at The Fox Theater. Along this run\, Father John Misty has scheduled two-night stands at the historic The Castro Theatre in San Francisco (March 24th+25th)\, and at The Paramount Theatre (Apr. 3rd +4th). He will also headline at Boise’s Treefort Festival (Mar. 29th). \n\n\n\nFather John Misty’s EU run will start on Monday\, June 1st in Lisbon\, PT at Sagres Campo Pequeno and end on Sunday\, June 14th in Wicklow\, IE with a headlining set at Beyond The Pale Festival. His wish is our command when it comes to actually enjoying stuff that sounds more challenging on paper\, or even on vinyl\, than it does in the flesh.” \n\n\n\nFan presales for the headlining shows begin Wednesday\, November 19th at 10 am (local; Pass: Honeybear)\, with on-sale to the general public on Friday\, November 21 at 10am (local). \n\n\n\nIn further celebration of Father John Misty’s first headlining shows at The Paramount Theatre in almost 9 years\, Seattle fans can grab fee-free presale tickets which will be available IN PERSON at the Paramount Box Office starting at 10 am on Thursday\, November 20th.  Head down for coffee & donuts provided by Sub Pop\, limited edition posters\, Sub Pop sticker packs\, and more (Sub Pop merchandise available while supplies last!) \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout David VanderveldeMulti-instrumentalist\, producer\, and songwriter David Vandervelde crafts ’60s-influenced pop songs that bear the mark of legendary artists such as Marc Bolan\, the Rolling Stones\, Mickey Finn\, and the Beatles.During the mid-2000s\, the West Michigan native worked on numerous projects with fellow musician/engineer Jay Bennett (Wilco)\, then in 2007 he released a solo album called Moonstation House Band on the Secretly Canadian label. Waiting for the Sunrise arrived the following year. That same year Vandervelde left his long-time home of Chicago for Brooklyn\, but quickly found himself stationed in Nashville after just a short time in New York. It would be six years before he returned with third album Shadow Sides\, The album was recorded completely on a cassette four-track. Vandervelde has been in Father John Misty since 2014\, he and his family live in Michigan.

SUMMARY:Entr'acte - Solo Exhibition by Nic Fischer at Cassens Fine Art Gallery
DESCRIPTION:Entr’acte – Solo Exhibition by Nic Fischer at opening artist reception at Cassens Fine Art Gallery in Hamilton 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Friday\, April 17\n\n\n\n\n\nEntr’acte is French for the pause between acts\, and it is the only word Nic Fischer felt was equal to what he has been painting. Every work in this collection lives in an interval: a sunrise not yet day\, a hillside caught between winter and spring\, a landscape in an exact moment that everything is about to change. Working in oils onsite\, Fischer builds each painting intentionally slowly\, sometimes over the course of a year\, until the passing moment he first witnessed becomes the story he wants it to tell. The result is nine works that put you inside every moment. \n\n\n\nThe exhibition is available in the Cassens Gallery and online through May 15\, 2026. Join us on Friday\, April 17\, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm for the opening reception with the artist.

All tickets are general admission standing room only with limited bench seating. All ages are welcome. \n\n\n\nTake a look at these tips to best prepare yourself for a smooth ticket buying experience. \n\n\n\nAdditional ticketing and venue information can be found here. \n\n\n\n\n\n** Tickets for the Top Hat performance on Friday\, April 24\, 2026 are only available by purchasing a Two Night Pass.Individual tickets for the Top Hat performance cannot be purchased. ** \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Kitchen DwellersIn Dante’s Inferno\, the author grapples with sin\, its various manifestations\, and its consequences. This time ultimately traces a trajectory of self-realization\, acceptance\, and accountability. Kitchen Dwellers embark on a similar odyssey over the course of their fourth full-length offering\, Seven Devils. The Montana quartet—Shawn Swain [Mandolin]\, Torrin Daniels [Banjo]\, Joe Funk [Upright Bass]\, and Max Davies [Acoustic Guitar]—thread together an immersive and inimitable conceptual arc inspired by Dante’s Inferno and set to a soundtrack of folk-infused bluegrass spiked with psychedelic vision and rock energy.  \n\n\n\nContinuing their own journey as brothers\, they deliver their most ambitious and anthemic body of work yet. \n\n\n\n“These tunes deal with the human experience\, and Torrin initially drew a parallel between the music and Dante\,” Max states. “We explored the connection by correlating each song with a sin. Some of these connections are only apparent if you dive deep into the lyrics. Our goal is to essentially take the listener through our own interpretation of the Inferno story.”  \n\n\n\n“We didn’t go into the studio with the intent of making a concept album\,” recalls Torrin. “I was driving around listening to everything\, and I noticed these parallels. To dive deeper\, we’re discussing topics like mental health\, the human condition\, and what we go through on the road. In life and music\, everything is recurring and universal. I was reading Dante at the time\, and it naturally fit.” \n\n\n\nIt proved to be a logical next step as well… \n\n\n\nThus far\, Kitchen Dwellers have engaged and enraptured listeners with albums such as Ghost In The Bottle [2017]\, Muir Maid [2019]\, Live from the Wilma [2021]\, and Wise River [2022]. Of the latter\, Holler. praised how “Kitchen Dwellers have preserved their sense of youthful experimentation\,” and Relix proclaimed\, “The songs on the new record build on this range\, while also reflecting on the group’s Bozeman\, Montana home.” Between tallying millions of streams\, the band ignited hallowed venues such as Red Rocks Amphitheatre and graced the bills of Telluride Bluegrass\, Northwest String Summit\,  WinterWonderGrass\, and beyond.  \n\n\n\nIn order to bring Seven Devils to life\, the musicians opted to work with producer Glenn Brown. It would not only mark their first time collaborating with the producer\, but it also would be the first time they decamped to Michigan in order to record. \n\n\n\n“The studio itself definitely impacted the vibe\,” Torrin notes. “It’s a tiny workspace\, but it’s full of old recording equipment with legendary stories attached to it. For almost the entire time\, we were forced to congregate in this room together. The process was ever-evolving\, because ideas kept flowing.” \n\n\n\nFittingly\, “Seven Devils (Limbo)” opens the album and serves as the first single. Nimbly picked banjo and upbeat acoustic guitar set the pace as the regretful chorus bemoans\, “Am I supposed to hop the next train? Or stand here drowning in the Oregon rain?” A guitar-driven bridge dips in and out of effects-laden echoes and stark strumming. Coming full circle\, a ten-minute version of “Seven Devils” later bookends the record with an epic finale. \n\n\n\n“I incorporated some elements of grunge in terms of the chords\, which are a little dissonant\,” Torrin elaborates. “Thematically\, it’s the descent into Hell. First\, Dante goes through limbo before reaching any of the circles where the cardinal sins are addressed. ‘Seven Devils’  evokes the feeling of being in limbo.” \n\n\n\n“It also signifies you’re embarking on some type of journey\,” Max agrees. “By the end of the LP\, you know the protagonist isn’t going to be the same person.” \n\n\n\nThen\, there’s “The Crow and The Raven (III).” The track’s emotionally charged vocals seesaw on top of strings in a moment of terse reflection. “I went through a horrible breakup in 2018 when I wrote the first version\,” Shawn remembers. “‘The Crow and The Raven (III)’ sat in my notebook for a half-decade before we revamped it. Now\, it’s a sad\, slower lament about enduring the loss of a relationship.” \n\n\n\n“Pendulum” rushes towards a mournful refrain offset by a plucky crescendo. “It’s about dealing with an addiction in your life and how it affects relationships\,” Joe says. “People often trade one addiction for another\, whether positive or detrimental to their life\, as a means to satisfy their baseline addictive tendencies.” \n\n\n\nOn the other end of the spectrum\, “Here We Go (VI)” laments the epidemic of shootings in America with unfiltered frustration projected through a powerful ebb and flow punctuated by a cameo from Lindsay Lou. \n\n\n\n“I was riding a Greyhound from Seattle to Missoula in 2012\,” Max goes on. “There had just been another school shooting. It’s terrible to think of how many shootings have happened since. Why is this happening? The chorus shifts gears to miscommunication between two parties in a relationship. Those are the two driving forces.” \n\n\n\nAn electric guitar lead heralds the onset of “Unwind (Paradiso)\,” building towards one climactic moment of catharsis. \n\n\n\n“A psychedelic experience and life-changing ego death changed my outlook on many things\,” Torrin admits. “‘Unwind (Paradiso)’ was one of those moments where you surrender and let it take you. You’re letting go of the human things in your brain that make you want to fight or cause you to be afraid. It also came together in the studio as a band\, which was super cool.” \n\n\n\nIn the end\, Kitchen Dwellers may just leave you changed with Seven Devils. \n\n\n\n“The record is a trip inward within the self\,” Torrin concludes. “It tackles a lot of things in the world people try not to think about. The reality is we’re only truly happy when happiness comes from within. That’s the message.”

SUMMARY:First Friday with Sara Siestreem at Missoula Art Museum
DESCRIPTION:Stop in at Missoula Art Museum for First Friday on May 1 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm for an unforgettable evening celebrating the opening of Acts of Love\, Refusal\, and Resistance – a powerful new exhibit featuring the work of Sara Siestreem with music by Dylan Running Crane\n\n\n\n\n\nStop in at Missoula Art Museum for First Friday on May 1 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm for an unforgettable evening celebrating the opening of Acts of Love\, Refusal\, and Resistance – a powerful new exhibition featuring the work of Sara Siestreem (Hanis Coos of the Confederated Tribes of Coos\, Lower Umpqua\, and Siuslaw Indians). Sara will be in attendance for an artist talk at 5:30 pm\, with music by Dylan Running Crane. \n\n\n\nMAM first presented Siestreem’s work in 2013\, and in the years since her artistic growth has been remarkable. Drawing on traditional basket weaving practices\, she weaves ancestral pattern motifs into bold geometric abstractions — proud and powerful expressions of Indigenous sovereignty. A recipient of the Hallie Ford Fellowship (2025) and elected 2025 National Academician by the National Academy of Design\, Siestreem is an artist in full stride\, and MAM is honored to welcome her back. \n\n\n\nSpecial thanks to the Elizabeth Leach Gallery for support in mounting this exhibition. \n\n\n\nThank you as well to Elizabeth Leach\, Janet Mohle-Boetani\, and Greg and Cathy Tibbles for the publication support\, as well as The Ford Family Foundation Visual Arts Program for exhibition support.

SUMMARY:First Friday with Rabbit (artist Maxine Beard) at Bernice's Bakery
DESCRIPTION:Rabbit\, (locally known as artist Maxine Beard) is the featured artist 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on First Friday May 1 at Bernice’s Bakery in Missoula\n\n\n\n\n\nRabbit\, (locally known as artist Maxine Beard) is as messy in her personal life as she is artistically\, and is chaotically as organized as her Garden. The human nature of release is a strong theme in her life and art works; as a descendant of generational trauma\, story tellers and artists alike\, she prefers to let art fill in the blanks which words cannot. Combined with hazy\, surreal dreamscapes\, dashed with healthy doses of her own history and lore\, Rabbit presents her series\, “Now and Again\, and Again\, and..” \n\n\n\nIn her latest series; we traverse and explore the cycle of life\, death and rebirth. Using the manipulation of light\, and heavy doses of nostalgia. Combined with the tasty beauty and sexuality that is found in everything\, her artworks resemble all of the bits and pieces of things that hold us to this life. \n\n\n\nEach piece uniquely portray and reflect their own experiences\, individually created with love\, alcohol markers\, and acrylic paint. With no other copies and or prints in existence\, each piece as a “One night stand of the heart”. Her work begrudgingly holds onto\, and releases the timeless feeling of past\, present\, and future. \n\n\n\nHer primary medium is using reclaimed wood\, scrap paper\, ink\, alcohol based markers and acrylic. You can find her work year ’round in the beautiful Downtown Missoula\, at Upcycled\, Local Artistry Shop on The Hip Strip.
