SUMMARY:Big Sky Troubadours: Songwriters & The Symphony at O'Shaughnessy Cultural Arts Center
DESCRIPTION:Experience a one-of-a-kind collaboration with Songwriters & The Symphony as acclaimed Nashville songwriters Wynn Varble\, Brice Long\, and Jo Smith join select musicians from the Glacier Symphony for an unforgettable evening of songs\, stories\, and symphonic arrangements at 7:00 pm Thursday\, September 17 at O’Shaughnessy Cultural Center in Whitefish\n\n\n\n\n\nYou know the songs. Now hear them like never before. \n\n\n\nExperience a one-of-a-kind collaboration as acclaimed Nashville songwriters Wynn Varble\, Brice Long\, and Jo Smith join select musicians from the Glacier Symphony for an unforgettable evening of songs\, stories\, and symphonic arrangements. \n\n\n\nHear the hit songs behind some of country music’s biggest artists performed in an intimate setting\, elevated by the rich\, cinematic sound of a live orchestra. Throughout the evening\, the songwriters will share the inspiration\, humor\, and personal stories behind the music\, offering audiences a rare glimpse into the creative process that turns ideas into timeless songs. \n\n\n\nWynn Varble  \n\n\n\nWynn came to love country music at a very young age when he discovered his father’s collection of classic country vinyl records. He even traded his big brother’s “Grand Funk Railroad” for a copy of Jimmy Dean’s “Big Bad John”\, and still has a scar to prove it! Around the age of 14\, a neighbor showed Wynn a few chords on an old guitar. Before long\, Wynn was playing on his own and writing his own songs. \n\n\n\nAfter years of performing in honkytonks & bars\, Wynn decided to make the move to Nashville. His first radio single was “Fit To Be Tied Down” by Sammy Kershaw. Since then Wynn has had many hits including three number ones…all three were nominated for “Song Of The Year” by the CMA or ACM and sometimes both. Wynn’s three number one songs are “Have You Forgotten” by Darryl Worley\, “Waitin’ On A Woman” by Brad Paisley\, and “I’m A Little More Country Than That” by Easton Corbin. In addition to his number ones\, Wynn has had songs recorded by artists such as Garth Brooks\, Cody Johnson\, Jon Pardi\, Trace Adkins\, Mark Chesnutt\, Willie Nelson\, Kellie Pickler\, Lee Ann Womack\, and many others. \n\n\n\nIn 2009\, Wynn received the Nashville Songwriters Association’s Songwriter of the Year Award. He made his Grand Ole Opry Debut in 2011. Additionally\, Wynn has appeared on several tv shows and was featured weekly on the Joey & Rory Show for several years. Wynn writes songs nearly every day and tours extensively. He is currently signed with BMG Music Publishing. \n\n\n\nBrice Long \n\n\n\nBrice has enjoyed a successful 25+ year music career. As a songwriter he has had over 175 of his songs cut with artists such as Garth Brooks\, George Strait\, Chris Stapleton\, Hank Williams Jr\, Randy Houser\, Josh Turner\, Reba McEntire\, Gary Allan\, Cody Johnson\, Chris Young\, Jon Pardi\, Lainey Wilson\, Casey James\, Randy Travis\, John Michael Montgomery\, Porter Wagoner and many more.   \n\n\n\nBrice’s songwriting hits include the #1 singles “Heartache On The Dance Floor” by Jon Pardi and “Nothing On But The Radio” by Gary Allan. Randy Houser’s “Like a Cowboy”\,a song that also garnered Brice a CMA nomination for Song of the Year.  Other recent hits include Randy Houser’s debut single\, “Anything Goes”\, “Today” from Gary Allan\, Casey James’ “Let’s Don’t Call It A Night” and Jon Pardi’s\, “What I Can’t Put Down”. \n\n\n\nBrice Long is signed to Sony Music Publishing. He is a native of Hopkinsville\, KY. His music is available wherever digital music is streamed and sold. \n\n\n\nJo Smith \n\n\n\nJo Smith was named to Rolling Stone’s 10 New Artists You Need to Know in 2017 and CMT’s Next Women of Country 2018\, making her Grand Ole Opry debut in 2013\, and becoming a Highway Find on Sirius XM’s The Highway in 2017. Jo was the opening act on Blake Shelton’s All About Tonight Tour\, Chris Young and Thomas Rhett’s Liquid Neon Tour\, and Miranda Lambert and Dierks Bentley’s Locked and Reloaded Tour. After moving to Montana in 2020\, she released her first independent project Wyoming\, featuring Vince Gill on the title track. As “Wyoming” attests\, Jo has “been able to keep ahold of that traditional timeless thing that makes music last.” Her music possesses a timeless beauty that grows out of uncanny ability to tell stories that balance the emotional depths of traditional country and soul with a deep desire to deliver songs passionately to fans searching for songs that express universal feelings of longing\, loss\, hope\, and love.

SUMMARY:Dueling Pianos with Dustin Brayley & Ross Bridgeman at Second Story / 101 Central
DESCRIPTION:Merie Productions presents Dueling Pianos with Dustin Brayley and Ross Bridgeman at Second Story / 101 Central in Whitefish 7:30 pm to 10:30 pm Friday\, August 21; and Thursday\, September 17\n\n\n\n\n\nDoors @ 6:30 pm \n\n\n\nA high-octane\, request-driven live music party! \n\n\n\nYou asked for more! And you got it!Get ready for the most fun you can have on a night out in Whitefish. \n\n\n\nDueling Pianos at 101 Central’s Second Story is a high-octane\, request-driven live music party starring Dustin Brayley and Ross Bridgeman – two powerhouse performers battling (and blending) their way through the greatest hits of every era. Think part concert\, part comedy\, and 100% crowd-fueled from the first note to the last. \n\n\n\nThis isn’t a “sit back and watch” kind of show – you help write the setlist. The magic of dueling pianos is that it’s built around audience song requests\, sing-alongs\, clap-alongs\, and spontaneous moments that turn the entire room into one big chorus. \n\n\n\nSet inside the intimate\, elevated vibe of Second Story at 101 Central—a space designed to create memories where “old charm meets modern sophistication”—this is the ultimate date night\, friend night\, or “we deserve a night out” night. Come ready to laugh\, request your favorites\, and leave with your voice a little hoarse (in the best way). \n\n\n\nBring your crew. Bring your requests. And be warned: you may end up singing Sweet Caroline with a room full of strangers who suddenly feel like friends.

SUMMARY:Pub Sing with Lake Missoula Old Time at Western Cider
DESCRIPTION:Join Lake Missoula Old Time for an a’capella community Pub Sing session at Western Cider from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm the 3rd Sunday each month\n\n\n\n\n\nJoin LMOT and Friends for a Pub Sing at our favorite local pub: Western Cider! This is a beginner-friendly collaborative singing gathering. \n\n\n\nPub Sing is a casual “singing jam” of sorts (not a performance!). A wide variety of songs are welcome\, but ones with catchy choruses\, call and response\, or that are generally “sing-along-able” work best. We take turns leading songs\, and everyone joins in on the chorus or other repeated parts. It’s also totally fine to just sing along! You don’t have to lead a song if you don’t want to. \n\n\n\nTraditional songs\, folk songs\, sea chanties\, etc. are all great genres to draw from. We sing a cappella\, so no instruments are needed. \n\n\n\nFeel free to bring print outs of lyrics to share 🙂We hope you’ll join us!

For as deadly serious as their airtight technical riffing is\, they also knew how to have a good time\, riling up crowds with uncontainable energy and unpredictable performances. They could bludgeon with the best of them or serve up the kind of sing-along banger you could blast with the windows down. \n\n\n\nFrom day one\, they naturally appealed to the headbangers\, hardcore kids\, and heartbroken alike. \n\n\n\nIn 2002\, Alive Or Just Breathing sent shockwaves through the culture\, claiming a spot on Decibel’s “The Top 100 Greatest Metal Albums of All Time.” They generated north of 3 billion streams and picked up gold and platinum plaques for The End of Heartache and As Day Light Dies respectively. They notably received three GRAMMY® Award nominations for “Best Metal Performance” and cracked the Top 10 on the Billboard 200 with a trio of consecutive releases: Killswitch Engage [2009]\, Disarm The Descent [2013]\, and Incarnate [2016]. Meanwhile\, 2019’s Atonement represented a critical high watermark with praise from Forbes\, Revolver\, and NME who christened it “one of the most engaged and exciting records that Killswitch has ever made.” The guys have not only packed houses on repeated successful headline tours across the globe\, but they have consistently held their own sharing bills with acts from Iron Maiden\, Slipknot\, and Slayer to My Chemical Romance\, Rise Against\, and Coheed & Cambria. \n\n\n\nHowever\, Killswitch Engage harness all of their strengths on their ninth full-length LP\, This Consequence [Metal Blade Records]. They’ve distilled the hallmarks of their signature sound into a bruising\, often brutal\, and at times brilliantly bright body of work. \n\n\n\n“Making this record lit a fire under my ass and made me rethink everything\,” admits Jesse. “It had to be next level. It had to be different enough for people to really recognize we’re putting forth an effort—or what’s the point of doing this? There was no repeating ourselves. It was very carefully planned out and passionately written. It sounds like Killswitch\, yet there’s also a fresh spirit to it.” \n\n\n\nThis time around\, the group emphasized working together face-to-face in a Massachusetts rehearsal spot. The process enabled them to apply the pressure on every element. At the collective urging of his bandmates\, Jesse poured over his words like never before. \n\n\n\n“We pushed him to do more vocal demos and were super tough on him\,” recalls Adam. “He was so open to feedback though\, and he definitely got the lyrics right. I love it when he and I are face-to-face\, and ideas are flying around. We work especially well together when we’re in the heat of the moment. All of the demoing made for a better record\, and there was so much communication between all of the band members.” \n\n\n\n“It felt like everyone put a ton of effort into this\,” Mike adds. “It’s the first time since Alive Or Just Breathing that we really hashed everything out together in the same room. It was a combined effort\, and there are even some things you’ve never heard from Killswitch.” \n\n\n\nJesse culled inspiration from “hours on Thesaurus.com\,” reading as many books as possible\, and interacting with fans on the road in between. He confesses\, “I found my voice again.” \n\n\n\n“I never considered myself to be a part of mainstream society\,” he goes on. “I’ve always been in the middle. To me\, this record is about the consequences of our actions as humans as we engage in war\, hatred\, division\, and falling in line with control. History repeats itself. We’re going to have to answer for our actions—whether it’s how we treat the earth or each other. There will be an uprising and a backlash from nature. Cause-and-effect is a driving theme. We will face a consequence.” \n\n\n\nThe first single “Forever Aligned” finds the band firing on all cylinders. Jesse’s growl weighs heavy on a galloping beat and dual-guitar battering ram. The barrage breaks like a wave on a chantable chorus\, “It’s you\, I find\, forever in my mind\, we are aligned\,” giving way to a melodic bridge laced with a hummable lead line. \n\n\n\n“When you find someone who won’t give up on you\, forge a friendship\, or have a family member who makes you a better person\, you realize what love actually is\,” notes the frontman. “I think true love is far beyond human comprehension. We have glimpses of it\, but we’ll never grasp it. When you’re striving to be filled with love\, it’s a selfless path. It’s a spiritual connection; it transcends life and death. The energy of love moves on eternally\, so you’re forever aligned with who you love.” \n\n\n\n“Even with all of the brutality\, the hook is right up there with some of our best\,” smiles Mike. “We felt like it was the perfect song to introduce this chapter and show we’re ready to go.” \n\n\n\n“Aftermath” illuminates the dynamics of This Consequence. A lightly picked intro bleeds into the wail of guitar as epic drums boom. It kicks into high gear towards a hypnotic refrain\, “We’re reeling from the aftermath\, still bleeding from the damage of the past\,” as Jesse declares\, “This is the consequence.” \n\n\n\n“If you’ve ever dealt with depression\, one day you wake up and have this revelation\, ‘I’m going to be okay. This is a new day’\,” he goes on. “You get this injection of hope and think\, ‘I got through this. How do I move forward]?’ ‘Aftermath’ is simply about finding yourself again and healing from all that you went through.” \n\n\n\nFollowing the face-ripping “Where It Dies” and towering catharsis of “I Believe\,” the vital and vitriolic “Collusion” confronts corruption at its ancient roots. Jesse laments\, “It’s a world in collusion.” \n\n\n\n“The powers-that-be use manipulation to control the masses\,” he sighs. “It goes back to even the Roman Empire. There are all of these tricky secret handshakes and backroom deals. I’d rather be pessimistic and questioning than gullible and rolling with it. Dig a little deeper and read between the lines.” \n\n\n\nThen\, there’s “Broken Glass.” It may be one of the unabashedly and uncompromisingly heavy compositions in the Killswitch catalog. It crawls along on a nail-scraping stomp anchored by a thick riff and guttural scream. \n\n\n\n“I’m most stoked on ‘Broken Glass’\,” says Adam. “It definitely doesn’t sound like anything we’ve ever done before.” \n\n\n\n“It’s a metaphor\,” reveals Jesse. “A liar’s words will cut you like broken glass. I’m sure anybody who has lived through the breakdown of a family or a relationship can relate to the images of shattered windows or smashed alcohol bottles. We don’t realize how deep abuse can run in our blood and affect us.” \n\n\n\nNow\, This Consequence might just set the stage for another 25 years of Killswitch Engage. \n\n\n\n“This band is still just a group of friends who get together and play music—but to some of the biggest crowds we could’ve ever imagined\,” Mike leaves off. “Even after all of this time\, there’s a lot of love being thrown around.” \n\n\n\n“The goal is to make the fans happy\,” concludes Adam. “When you come to a show\, it’s about fun. I love the connection we have. If the crowd is having a good time\, we’re having a good time. This record is for everybody who has been with us for all of these years.” \n\n\n\n“The world is in a dark place\, but we’re going to get through this\,” grins Jesse. “Music has always been a light in the darkness when I feel like all hope is lost. Certain albums came along at the right time and saved me. We are giving everything we have\, because it’s all we got. We have a chance to take Killswitch to another level. That excitement is like fuel. We have everything to prove and nothing to prove\, because we are right where we need to be.” – Rick Florino\, October 2024. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Machine HeadUndisputed masters of murderous riffs\, pugnacious grooves and ferocious hooks since 1991\, Machine Head are long established as one of the most influential and incendiary bands in metal. \n\n\n\nFrom genre-expanding triumphs like 1994’s debut\, Burn My Eyes\, 1999’s The Burning Red to the planet-conquering might of 2007’s The Blackening\, to the new life injected in 2014’s Bloodstone and Diamonds\, Machine Head have carved a singular path across the globe for over three decades now with no end in sight. Whether it be marathon 3-hour live performances\, or millions of albums sold worldwide\, and accolades both big and small\, there aren’t too many ‘distractions’ clouding up the vision of guitarist/vocalist/founder Robb Flynn these days. \n\n\n\nIn 2022\, Machine Head are back with their most crushing and complete album yet. ØF KINGDØM AND CRØWN is an hour-long conceptual monolith\, rich in colour and dynamics but hell-bent on destruction. Set in a futuristic wasteland where the sky is always crimson red\, ØF KINGDØM AND CRØWN tells the tale of two characters\, both faced with incalculable trauma\, whose stories become bloodily entwined as this deep\, dark record progresses. \n\n\n\n“The album and concept was loosely inspired by the Japanese anime series Attack On Titan\,” says Robb\, “in the sense that in that series\, there is no “good” or “bad” guy… both sides believe they’re doing the right thing\, but both are committing atrocities and evil.” \n\n\n\nAlbum opener\, “SLAUGHTER THE MARTYR\,” sets the tone for not only the record\, but the aural and psychological exploration the listener is about to embark on.  From the first dissonant note\, its certain this is not only fresh canvas spelled out with lead vocalist Robb Flynn and bassist Jared MacEachern’s soaring vocal harmonies\, but its intent is as furious as anything the band has ever come up with. This track also begins the journey of our protagonists. \n\n\n\nFurther exploration of the damaged psyche blasts forth on “CHØKE ØN THE ASHES ØF YØUR HATE\,” a searing back and forth dose of Thrash Metal that could only come from the roots of the Bay Area.  Unrelenting in its attack\, the breakneck pace only solidifies this as one of many standouts on ØF KINGDØM AND CRØWN. \n\n\n\nFrom the adrenaline rush of exorcising their inner demons to the innate feeling of solitude and regret comes “UNHALLØWED.”  A dramatic introspective of questioning one’s motives and the fallout when the debts our expended emotions come to collect.  Hopeless\, lost\, and isolated\, protagonist #2 begins the transformation from victim to victimizer over the melodic chaos courtesy of guitarist Vogg Kiełtyka.  Radicalized\, paranoid\, and armed with a dead-end stare\, the mental onslaught ignites with the song\, “KILL THY ENEMIES.”  The whiplash inducing thoughts pair up nicely with some of the thickest grooves on the album. \n\n\n\nThe album ends with arguably the finest song Machine Head have ever written: “ARRØWS IN WØRDS FRØM THE SKY”\, the grandiose but emotionally visceral climax to the finest and most ferocious album of the band’s 30 year career. \n\n\n\nA perennially vital force in heavy music\, Machine Head have continued their exhilarating evolution\, while never losing the furious spirit of their old school\, underground roots. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Rivers of NihilSixteen years and five albums after the Pennsylvania band’s formation\, progressive death metal progenitors Rivers of Nihil are upping the ante with their 2025 self-titled album Rivers of Nihil. Traditionally\, a self-titled record can signal a return to basics and/or a fresh beginning\, and in 10 powerful songs\, it’s clear that both those factors are in play. Founding bassist Adam Biggs became the band’s new lead vocalist/bassist in 2023; the same year marked the appearance of additional guitarist Andy Thomas (ex-Black Crown Initiate)\, whose vocals also play prominently on Rivers of Nihil. Producers Carson Slovak and Grant McFarland at Atrium Audio captured the new dynamics across more than 50 minutes of music. \n\n\n\nOn June 15\, 2023\, the band released a new single\, “The Sub-Orbital Blues\,” the first track with Biggs handling lead vocals (following the 2022 departure of singer Jake Dieffenbach\, and also their first featuring Thomas). A second single\, “Hellbirds\,” dropped on October 19 of that year. On April 29\, 2024\, the band released the cut “Criminals” and an accompanying music video. Both “Criminals” and “The Sub-Orbital Blues” appear on Rivers of Nihil. \n\n\n\nThe new album’s first single of 2025\, “House of Light\,” is a track the band believes “encapsulates the nature of what it is that we do perfectly while offering a different perspective on the sound with the new lineup\,” explains founding member/guitarist Brody Uttley\, who also plays piano and does the programming in the band. “Everything that our fans have come to love about our sound is demonstrated in this song with the new addition of Andy singing and Biggs on main vocals. It has the riffs\, it has the big chorus\, it has the prog\, it has the solos\, it has the sax. Just a real classic example of what we will do as a band in 2025.” \n\n\n\nRivers of Nihil also showcases additional musicians\, including Patrick Corona on alto saxophone; Stephan Lopez on banjo; McFarland on cello; and a slate of other guest vocalists. Further singles include “American Death\,” a true-to-form beater that’s sure to slay live\, and “Water & Time\,” which Uttley says is Rivers’ “stab at writing a big chorus style synth-laden song. The main melody on synth came out so cool the band filled out the song with “metal band stuff” for the potent final version heard on Rivers of Nihil. \n\n\n\nDespite the fresh approach on Rivers of Nihil\, the album fits neatly into the band’s discography. With Where Owls Know My Name (2018)\, Rivers of Nihil transcended all labels applied to them\, and with its 2021 follow-up\, The Work\, they forged further into new territory. Metal Injection calling the latter album “by far the group’s most cohesive\, ambitious\, meditative\, and varied effort\, with greater uses of philosophical significance and transcendental respites.” \n\n\n\nThe quartet’s musicianship has been honed to a fine point thanks to an unrelenting touring schedule over the past few years\, including headline tours of the U.S. and EU/UK\, as well as support slots on the Chaos and Carnage Tour (Cattle Decapitation\, Carnifex\, etc.)\, Lorna Shore\, Between the Buried and Me\, and shows with Killswitch Engage. \n\n\n\nAnd the roadwork continues even before Rivers of Nihil’s2025 release. Rivers will bring with them three of the other biggest names in progressive death metal –Cynic\, Beyond Creation\, and Dååth — for the European and UK  “Aggressive Progressive Tour\,”  which kicks off February 28\, 2025\, in Germany. They’ll travel across seas once again for a slate of European festivals in August. And more touring plans for 2025 are expected to be announced soon. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout JudiciaryBalancing traditionally timeless grit with 21st century gusto\, Judiciary hammer out hardcore grooves at breakneck thrash speeds. The Texas quintet—Jake Collinson [vocals]\, Juan Vazquez [bass]\, Austin Looney [drums]\, Jimmy LaDue [guitar]\, and Israel Garza [guitar]—wield a searing signature style unlike anything in heavy music. With calculated intensity\, it bludgeons without compromise\, draws back for a breath\, and strikes again even harder. \n\n\n\nGrinding full force since 2015\, the band unleashed the EP The Axis of Equality in 2016\, a split EP with Mortality Rate in 2017\, and finally\, their first full-length record Surface Noise with Closed Casket Activities in 2019. Of the latter\, Revolver exclaimed\, “More so than many other bands in their orbit\, the quintet excels at writing riffs that hang on through any one track without faltering\,” while Stereogum raved\, “It fucking rips.” Beyond highlights such as “Stronger Than Thou” [feat. Bryan Garris of Knocked Loose] and “T emple” [feat. Brody King of God’s Hate]\, their standout single “Social Crusade” signaled success for what the band had set out to accomplish with their first LP . \n\n\n\nCiting influences such as Slayer’s God Hates Us All and Chimaira’s The Impossibility of Reason as well as “a ton of Machine Head\,” Judiciary perfected their blend of metal and hardcore on the 2023 second full-length record\, Flesh + Blood [Closed Casket Activities]. Flesh + Blood was recorded and produced by Arthur Rizk [Power Trip\, Cavalera Conspiracy] in August of 2021 before GRAMMY® Award-winner Will Putney [Body Count\, Vein] handled mixing and mastering\, and has since received the praise of Stereogum\, Revolver\, BrooklynVegan\, Invisible Oranges\, and more.

The quartet — Drury Anderson (mandolin\, vocals)\, Luke Black (guitar\, vocals)\, Josiah Nelson (fiddle\, vocals)\, and Sam Wilson (bass\, vocals) — first turned heads with their 2024 EP Runnin’ From Trouble\, but 2025 proved to be their true breakthrough year. The band logged nearly 100 national tour dates\, sold out over thirty headline shows\, and delivered standout festival performances at Telluride Bluegrass\, DelFest\, Northlands\, and WinterWonderGrass. \n\n\n\nRolling Stone praised them as the “surprise show” of Telluride\, while Saving Country Music declared them the “next big band in bluegrass\,” with further national spotlight through exclusive live sessions with Paste\, Relix\, and No Depression\, cementing their arrival on the national stage. Their momentum peaked during IBMA week\, where they earned the International Bluegrass Music Association’s Momentum Artist of the Year award\, a defining milestone in a year of exponential growth. \n\n\n\nNow in the studio crafting their next full-length album\, due late summer\, and fresh off support runs with genre leaders like The Infamous Stringdusters and Kitchen Dwellers\, the band continues to expand its reach. Along the way\, they’ve shared stages with legends like Billy Strings and Greensky Bluegrass in a series of high-profile moments that underscore the respect they’ve earned from the genre’s leading voices. Mountain Grass Unit isn’t simply riding bluegrass’s current resurgence\, they are helping steer it\, staking their claim as one of the most vital and forward-looking young bands in American roots music today.

Different mountains\, snowpacks\, conditions\, and approaches—but the same forces are always at work: speed\, gravity\, instinct\, and consequence. \n\n\n\nActually\, It Is Rocket Science is a tongue-in-cheek look at the seemingly reckless abandon that many of the world’s best snow athletes display as they push the physics of what is possible. Athletes explore the intricacies of dissecting a big mountain line\, the physics and amplitude of a massive gap\, calculating transition\, and the force of gravity. \n\n\n\nSo\, is it rocket science—or is it not? \n\n\n\nWatch closely and decide for yourself. \n\n\n\nLocations: Jackson Hole\, Wyoming\, Haines Alaska\, British Columbia\, Japan\, Finland\, Andorra\, Jay Peak\, Vermont\, Montana \n\n\n\nFeatured Athletes: Kelly Hilleke\, Teal Harle\, Colter Hinchliffe\, Kai Jones\, Maggie Voisin\, Nick McNutt\, Parkin Costain\, Karl Fostvedt\, Keegan Killbride\, Tim Durtschi\, Thibault Magnin\, Anna Tedesco\, Tucker Carr\, Wyatt Gentry\, Lalo Rambaud \n\n\n\nAdditional Athletes: Jasper Skidmore\, Daniel Johnson\, Jerermy Emmer\, Rylan Messner\, Andrew Bird\, Dylan “Dro” Roide\, Nicholas Johnson\, Luke Price\, Seamus O’niell\, Andreya Zvonar\, Jackson Lalla \, Adrian Hayden\, Bode Tracy.

The multi-Grammy Award-nominated and gold-certified band don’t just talk about burning the rules and breaking the mold; they actually do so. \n\n\n\nThe band’s chemically imbalanced mix of gritty guitars\, haunting piano\, off-kilter synths\, hip-hop production\, cinematic vision\, and beautifully possessed vocals transformed them into a phenomenon beloved by a diehard global fanbase known as “MCID” (My Crew Is Dope). After grinding it out as an underground curiosity\, they scraped a path to mainstream infamy with their 2015 full-length debut\, “Mister Asylum”. It earned a Grammy Award nomination in the category of “Best Rock Album” as the single “Lydia” received a nomination for “Best Rock Song” was certified gold by the RIAA. \n\n\n\nThe 2016 follow-up “The Boy Who Died Wolf” roared to life with the gold-selling “My Name Is Human”\, which catapulted to #1 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart and garnered the band’s third career Grammy nomination for “Best Rock Song.” 2019’s “MCID” affirmed them as the rare outfit who could collaborate with Young Thug and GOJIRA on the same album. Loudwire hailed the latter among the “50 Best Rock Albums Of 2019.” \n\n\n\nWith hundreds of millions of streams and sold out shows on multiple continents\, HIGHLY SUSPECT charged ahead of the pack again on 2022’s “The Midnight Demon Club” and 2024’s “As Above\, So Below” with no compromises and no apologies as they challenged rock to be dangerous and maybe even life-changing again. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout YelawolfContinuing a wild ride from humble beginnings in Gadsden\, Alabama\, to the forefront of popular culture\, Yelawolf certainly has a lot to say. The Nashville-based\, multi-platinum\, chart-topping artist\, entrepreneur\, and Slumerican founder has consistently asserted himself as an outlier and outlaw without comparison. He catalyzed his breakthrough with Radioactive\, which was awarded a coveted 4.5-out-of-5-star rating by The Source. The gold-certified Love Story debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200\, highlighted by the platinum singles “Till It’s Gone” and “Best Friend” featuring Eminem. He maintained his momentum with Trial by Fire and Ghetto Cowboy\, spawning the platinum-certified hit “You and Me.” He emerged as the rare artist versatile enough to deliver The Slumdon Bridge EP with Ed Sheeran and Psycho White EP with Travis Barker. A$AP Rocky\, Big Boi\, blink-182\, Eminem\, Juicy J\, Korn\, and Tech N9ne have all sought him out for verses. His albums have featured Flea of Red Hot Chili Peppers\, Wynonna Judd\, Kid Rock\, Killer Mike\, Raekwon\, and Diplo. Frequent collaborator Jelly Roll even pledged his allegiance with Slumerican ink. Meanwhile\, Slumerican’s catalog expanded with releases by DJ Paul and Struggle Jennings. In 2022\, he released his full-length rock LP\, Sometimes Y\, with multi-GRAMMY® Award-winning producer and artist Shooter Jennings. Yelawolf has built Slumerican into a worldwide merchandise empire and Creek Water Whiskey into a nationally distributed spirits brand. He has performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live!\, appeared on MTV’s Ridiculousness\, acted in The Peanut Butter Falcon\, and toured with Deftones\, among many others. Composed of songwriter Adrianne Lenker\, guitarist Buck Meek\, and drummer James Krivchenia\, their creative output is seemingly limitless\, sprawling across five critically-acclaimed albums. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout PorchesShirt\, the new album from Aaron Maine aka Porches\, is part angsty fantasy\, part confessional melodrama – a rock album that oscillates between reality and make-believe to reflect both the innocence of suburban youth and the frayed reality of adulthood. A fusion of chaotic impulses\, insatiable desires\, and a perpetual yearning\, Shirt plays with the tension between one’s person and persona – the weight of your dreams crashing up against your reality. \n\n\n\nShirt is instantly recognizable as Porches’ heaviest album to date. Grungy guitars that shine with a menacing glint\, drums and bass that punch you warmly in the stomach\, interspersed with moments of eerie calmness to create a physical sense of tension and release that resonates with each track. From moments of punk-fueled aggression to introspective country-twanged respites\, the album combines an array of influences to create the sensation of a mood on the brink of swinging. \n\n\n\nPorches’ music is equally personal and universal\, tapping into moments in life that are intimate\, absurd\, banal and strangely everyday. His output takes a lifetime of songwriting and cuts it down to its most fundamental parts\, taking the listener on a dreamy\, primal journey through the mind of a man coping with an incomprehensible time\, reveling in the joy and confusion of living through it all.

SUMMARY:Shovels & Rope live with Nolan Taylor at Wachholz College Center
DESCRIPTION:American folk duo Shovels & Rope performs live at Kalispell’s Wachholz College Center with Nolan Taylor at 7:30 pm Wednesday\, October 7\n\n\n\n\n\nWCC welcomes SHOVELS & ROPE to the Flathead Valley for a live performance at 7:30 pm Wednesday\, October 7.  \n\n\n\nShovels & Rope is an American folk + americana duo made up of married musicians Michael Trent and Cary Ann Hearst. \n\n\n\nBased out of Charleston\, they’re known for their raw\, energetic sound that blends folk\, country\, rock\, and a bit of blues. \n\n\n\nTheir seventh album Something Is Working Up Above My Head was released in September of 2024. \n\n\n\nSee below for details about Something Is Working Up Above My Head. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOPENING:  NOLAN TAYLOR \n\n\n\nWhen Nolan Taylor grabs a guitar and steps up to a microphone\, he speaks for the desperate\, the deserted\, and the downtrodden who deserve a voice and demand a chance to be heard. The Ohio-raised and Nashville-based singer\,songwriter\, and guitarist knows the hopelessness of an impoverished upbringing surrounded by addiction firsthand. However\, he also knows what the light at the end of the tunnel feels like – because he dug himself out of despair and found that light. Growing up in Blanchester\, OH\, he initially lived in a small home. His mother fell prey to drugs and mental health turbulence\, leaving Nolan and his brother to be raised by dad – who worked several jobs to make ends meet. He bounced around from place-to-place until life settled down during sophomore year of high school. Music offered a semblance of stability. Upon graduating high school\, Nolan tirelessly gigged anywhere he could. A live video of “68” (which directly addresses the relationship with his mom and the topic of addiction) went viral and caught the attention of Atlantic Records. He gained traction with the Life & Love EP and Live From The Living Room EP. Beyond sharing bills with everyone from The Revivalists and City and Colour to 49 Winchester\, Charley Crockett\, and Band of Horses he sold out his headline Cincinnati Heart Tour. He contributed “Driving You Home” to Twisters: The Album\, the companion soundtrack to the blockbuster film which went on to be nominated for a GRAMMY®. Nolan invited audiences into the heart of where he grew up (and the Heartland of the country) on his 2025 self-titled full-length debut\, Nolan Taylor [Atlantic Records]\, and looks to expand his catalog with a new EP slated for release in 2026.
