Now in his thirties\, Burchfield raises a small family in the North Georgia mountains and continues to find inspiration in the rivers and ridges of Southern Appalachia. \n\n\n\nHis latest album ‘Me & My Religion’ was produced with his touring band\, The Scoundrels. It is the first collaboration for the group after years of paying dues to the highway. Colin Agnew (drums)\, Trygve Myers (bass)\, and Ryan Plumley (guitar) accompanied Burchfield to Muscle Shoals\, Alabama along with Nashville producer\, Rachael Moore\, to record the album of 7 days. \n\n\n\nThis 10 track album is almost equal parts Americana\, psychedelia\, indie folk\, and Southern rock. All these flavors combine to support the album’s main theme. As seasoned listeners will expect\, Burchfield’s lyrics are far from on the nose\, as the declarative title would suggest. ‘Me & My Religion’ is an exploration of mankind’s toil for meaning in a world of vapid consumerism and commercialism – one in which we have become deaf to our own harmony with nature. Despite the weight of these ideas\, the album feels like a lighthearted sojourn through the backwoods of our imagination.

Produced by Trampled by Turtles lead singer Dave Simonett\, the record is a multilayered ode to the life of an artist\, life on the road\, and what it means to be a human being in uncertain times. \n\n\n\n“This is a step in our careers that feels like there’s no going back\,” says banjoist Ryan Acker. “There’s a level of commitment now that\, just a couple of years ago\, we didn’t fathom we could take on. The boat is off the shore and you can’t see land anymore — we’re in it now.” \n\n\n\nBased in Minneapolis\, Minnesota\, the Americana/indie-folk outfit harkens to the trials\, tribulations\, and triumphs of what it means to pursue your dreams in real time. The foundation of which is conjured by a deep appreciation and genuine respect for the vast landscape and sometimes-harsh realities of what it means to emerge from the Midwest. \n\n\n\n“We grew up in the Midwest and we’ve all kind of stayed in this region of the country\,” Henke notes. “This place has imprinted itself on who we are\, and that challenge of life here is part of who we are now.” \n\n\n\nAlongside Henke and Acker is fiddler Vinnie Donatelle. When the ensemble finds themselves behind the microphone\, it’s the culmination of their vocal talents that truly showcases the mission of The Last Revel — harmony. \n\n\n\n“There’s no better feeling [when we’re singing together]\,” Acker says. “And it makes you understand something primal\, these melodies and these harmonies. It’s internal and it’s really powerful to sing your heart out with the people you love and your best friends.” \n\n\n\nThe seeds for The Last Revel were initially planted when Acker and Henke met in college in Wisconsin and started jamming together. Following graduation\, the duo eventually headed for Minnesota\, crossed paths with Donatelle\, and started putting together a musical project. By 2011\, the group was formed in Minneapolis. \n\n\n\n“The name comes from the idea of saying\, ‘One last go\, one last celebration\,’” Henke recalls. “It’s treating every show like it could be the last one kind of makes it extra special each time. It’s become a mantra through all the hardships we’ve been through — it’s crazy we get to do this\, so let’s act like it might be the last one.” \n\n\n\n“It feels like a miracle\,” Acker adds. “This is a career where\, hell or high water\, this is what I’m doing. This is something we feel genuine about creating and sharing with people — there’s no other option.” \n\n\n\nEarly on in the band’s tenure\, The Last Revel was clocking in around 200 shows each year\, and did so for several years. Burnout was real\, with the act deciding to go on hiatus in 2019 to recalibrate and reenergize what it is within the group that remains steadfast. \n\n\n\n“I tried to quit music. And then\, the moment I accepted [I was done]\, I wrote five new songs the next day\,” Henke shakes his head in awe. “There’s always been a real therapeutic element to writing music for me. And it goes beyond that now\, where if I don’t write for [a while]\, I feel pent up — there’s something that needs to come out.” \n\n\n\nA couple years went by\, with Henke and Acker eventually circling back to one another. The musical chemistry and unbreakable camaraderie was still intact\, with each thinking the same thing — let’s give music another shot. To note\, Gone for Good is The Last Revel’s second album since reuniting in 2021. \n\n\n\n“We spent so much time together in our twenties and thirties where\, even as friends\, let’s just get back together and see how it feels\,” Acker says. “Let’s just record some music and release it.” \n\n\n\n“The first step was all about just reconnecting — to hell with anyone else giving a damn about the music\,” Donatelle adds. “The only important thing is playing some music together.” \n\n\n\nWhen The Last Revel released Dovetail in 2023\, the reunion album sparked wildfire\, whether it was with longtime\, loyal fans of the band or newcomers coming across the group by mere happenstance. Now back on the road on the stage\, the bandmates were happily surprised by the unexpected response by sold-out gigs wherever they toured. \n\n\n\n“It kind of took us off-guard\,” Acker says of the fan response. “And it’s become this reciprocal\, motivating thing now. People didn’t forget about us\, and many more discovered our music over COVID than we had anticipated — the music we made is continuing to reach people.” \n\n\n\n“That initial response was so powerful\,” Donatelle adds. “But\, on the other end of things\, [the music] was never about any of us individually. It’s about the way that people connected to our music and just the way the music had a life of its own outside of us.” \n\n\n\nReflecting on Gone for Good\, Acker feels a real\, tangible\, more so positive shift in what it is The Last Revel aims to do moving forward. It’s this collective realm of collaboration\, all in hopes of connectivity not only between the bandmates\, but also the audience itself night in and night out — from coast-to-coast and back around to Minnesota. \n\n\n\n“And I think that shows up more on this record than ever\,” Acker says. “We’ve finally clicked on what the band’s purpose is\, the ethos behind all of this — we’re figuring out how to be ourselves and be happy through the music.” \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Abby WebsterSinger-songwriter Abby Webster writes songs that make meaning of the mundane and beauty out of contradiction. Shwayze will be performing his self-titled debut album in its entirety for the first time ever. \n\n\n\nKnown for his laid-back blend of hip-hop\, rock\, and beach-inspired pop\, Shwayze broke through with his self-titled 2008 debut album\, featuring the hit singles “Corona and Lime” and “Buzzin’.” His breezy\, feel-good sound quickly became a defining part of late-2000s pop culture. \n\n\n\nJoining Shwayze are fellow hip-hop favorites Asher Roth and Chiddy Bang\, bringing a dose of nostalgia from the era of blog rap\, indie hip-hop\, and crossover hits. Roth is best known for his breakout track “I Love College\,” while Chiddy Bang made waves with songs like “Opposite of Adults.”  \n\n\n\nWith three artists responsible for some of the era’s most memorable tracks\, The Nostalgia Tour promises a night of throwback favorites\, singalongs\, and early-2000s vibes at The Top Hat. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout ShwayzeShwayze is an American artist known for blending hip-hop and alternative sounds with‬ laid-back vibes and a unique perspective. Since his debut\, Shwayze has consistently captivated‬ audiences with his relatable storytelling\, delivering both feel-good anthems and introspective‬ tracks. His latest album\, Shwaycation\, showcases his dedication to pushing creative boundaries‬ while staying true to the essence of his music.‬ \n\n\n\nBeyond his musical career\, Shwayze is pursuing exciting television and film projects. Asher Roth realized that firsthand when he officially made the move from his native Philadelphia to Los Angeles in early 2013. Like countless other musicians before him\, he sought the storied creative spirits of the Hollywood Hills\, setting up shop in Beachwood Canyon and embarking on his latest musical journey. That road led him right to his second full-length album RetroHash [Ingrooves]. \n\n\n\nWhen he began writing\, Roth had recently emerged from a rather tumultuous period. Separating from his record label\, he found himself a completely independent artist. There were no boundaries. There were no expectations. There were no rules. Instead\, he got the opportunity to pursue any muse he chose. \n\n\n\n“I found a spot\, and I embraced Los Angeles for what it is to me—a great place to create. I got the chance to be myself. I didn’t have A&R’s checking in on me or lingering ‘major label’ expectations. I hung out and made music. I could slow down for a minute in California. It was exciting.” \n\n\n\nTeaming up with frequent production collaborators Blended Babies behind the board\, also recent West Coast transplants\, he uncovered a different side of himself as an artist. Of course\, he still can spit bars with the best of them\, but he began singing more and introducing other instruments\, like guitar\, into his music. The result is a hip-hop hybrid steeped in classic rock bombast and expanse. \n\n\n\n“You rarely hear guitar in hip-hop\,” he goes on. “It’s got some grit. This record feels like a Monday in California. It’s beautiful\, but there’s a light haze. It’s a freedom album for me.” \n\n\n\nAiry production pipes through the first single “Tangerine Girl” as his falsetto takes center stage. As the bounce increases\, he delivers something of a true California anthem. \n\n\n\n“That song embodies our whole ethos in the studio\,” he exclaims. “We went out for a walk\, got some tacos\, came back to the studio\, and I laid that melody down. We gave it some bars\, and it’s meant to shift the lens of how people see me.” \n\n\n\nElsewhere on the album\, “Fast Life” cruises into new territory with its six-string shine and inspired cameo from Vic Mensa. Roth also raps a cautionary tale about an old neighbor from Morrisville\, PA who lost her way in a fog of drugs and tragically passed. ” \n\n\n\n“She was really smart and sweet\,” he sighs. “She got caught up with the wrong people\, and she ended up overdosing. For some reason\, I felt like I wanted to tell that story. Growing up can be tough.” \n\n\n\nThe album’s laidback recording sessions at Blended Babies’ studio allowed for other guests to contribute at will. Chuck Inglish of The Cool Kids trades verses with Roth on the album’s smoky send-off “Keep Smoking\,” while ZZ Ward lends her overpoweringly soulful pipes to “Parties at the Disco.” \n\n\n\n“We needed a female on it\,” he goes on. “ZZ is from close to my neighborhood and we had a similar upbringing. She’s inspired by a lot of different styles of music but finds herself pulled towards jazz\, blues\, and classic rock. She came into the studio and just killed it one day.” \n\n\n\nIn order to give audiences the complete RetroHash experience\, Roth performs the album in its entirety during a packed 2014 tour of intimate venues across the United States. It opened up the doorway into this next phase of his career in a perfect setting. \n\n\n\n“You’ve got to hear it live\,” he affirms. “That was the best way for everybody to get into it.” \n\n\n\nRoth is no stranger to the road either. He’s toured alongside everybody from Kid Cudi and Chuck Inglish to B.o.B and Blink-182. In addition\, his first full-length\, Asleep In The Bread Aisle\, landed at #5 on the Billboard Top 200 upon its debut and yielded the platinum-certified hit “I Love College.” \n\n\n\n“I’m focusing on the future and the present\, while acknowledging the past\,” he concludes. “I hope I can inspire people to be themselves. I’m taking risks and being myself. I want to promote that same freedom that I felt throughout this whole ride.” \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Chiddy BangChidera Anamege aka Chiddy Bang is a hip-hop artist originally hailing from Newark\, NJ. Spending his time in the late 2010s as frontman of a hip-hop duo by the same name\, Chiddy trail blazed the hip-hop scene with the infectious MGMT sampled “Opposite of Adults.” He met his producer while a freshman at Drexel University in Philadelphia. He and his producer (Xaphoon Jones) would go on an unprecedented run that saw them release 3 mixtapes\, an EP\, and their Parlophone Records debut\, Breakfast. The EP and album boast over 500 million streams. Shortly after\, amid creative differences and label reshuffling\, the team split apart. Chiddy has since embarked on a new journey as a solo artist. “The past 10 years I spent studying the game\, releasing records sporadically but more so adding to my catalog and getting comfortable as an independent artist. During the signed Chiddy Bang years\, there was a lot of red tape creatively that limited the output of music. Now as an independent artist\, I’m looking forward to putting out more music and being accountable for my success\,” Chiddy says. Chiddy began that with the release of 3 albums in 2023 (Lunch\, Keep the Change\, and Saved by the Swell)\, followed by the Chiddy album in the Fall of 2024. Chiddy is excited to release some of his most potent music yet and is looking forward to infusing the world with his signature sound. “I know what my fans want. I know they’re listening for the vibes I provide and I’m really gonna triple down on that and thrive in this space. Music is my Mona Lisa\, my canvas. My expression is still in its infancy\,” he retorts. More ready than ever\, Chiddy is destined for bigger and better things. Onwards and upwards.
