DESCRIPTION:The Jacob Joliff Band brings mandolin to the front of their trademark bluegrass sound at Missoula’s Longstaff House 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm Friday\, October 24\n\n\n\n\n\nJacob Jolliff is one of the world’s premier contemporary mandolinists. In 2011 he graduated from Berklee College of Music\, having studied there on a full scholarship. The following year\, in 2012\, he won the USA’s National Mandolin Championship in Winfield\, KS. A fixture of the bluegrass scene\, he performed and collaborated with Béla Fleck\, Tony Trischka\, Michael Daves\, Grant Gordy\, Wes Corbett\, and Alex Hargreaves\, to name a few. Additionally\, throughout his 20s\, he toured as a member of the groups Joy Kills Sorrow and Yonder Mountain String Band. Currently\, his focus is on his own ensemble\, The Jacob Jolliff Band—one of the most cutting-edge progressive bluegrass group on the scene today. They’ve released three albums\, the most recent of which\, “Instrumentals\, Vol. 2: Mandolin Mysteries\,” dropped in May 2024. The band plays a combination of complex original instrumental music and vocal repertoire that spans from trad bluegrass to unlikely pop covers. Improvisation and the ensemble interplay are at the forefront.

British-American trio Raynes formed when Mat Charley and Joe Berger\, both born and raised in North Dakota\, came across a video of UK native Mark Race on Instagram and fell in love—first with his face\, then with his voice. After a few messages and phone calls\, Mark was on a plane to the US to start a band (a few months later\, he had the flight number tattooed on his arm). \n\n\n\nSince then\, Raynes has signed with Sony Music Publishing and released six singles and four EPs\, drawing hundreds of thousands of monthly listeners and tens of millions of streams and earning press in Billboard and People. They’ve performed at BottleRock Festival 2025 and in clubs\, concert halls\, and amphitheatres across the US and the UK\, developing a reputation as a high-energy live act. \n\n\n\nKnown for their intricate vocal harmonies and unique instrumentation as well as their poetic lyrics\, Raynes has yet to come up with a good answer as to what genre their music falls under. These letters are chanted by the masses at his shows\, but the question is who is the artist incorporating stunning visuals\, live instruments. and talented dancers? Troy Henry\, the elusive producer got his start making his beats standing up in his London studio apartment kitchen with his MacBook and a MIDI keyboard. With Indian\, Chinese\, Portuguese\, and Nigerian descent\, TroyBoi provides a musical journey of hard-hitting beats\, lights\, visuals\, and the unexpected. While his musical style can be broadly classified as trap\, it’s extraordinarily unique\, and versatile\, and fuses various textures from multiple genres. \n\n\n\nBeyond his career releases which include his debut album Left Is Right (2017) and a series of V!BEZ EPs in 2018 and 2019\, his productions have caught the ear of major music stars. His 2018 remix of Billie Eilish’s “MyBoi-TroyBoi Remix” has garnered almost 79 million Spotify streams and in 2019\, Rihanna featured two of his songs “Do You?” and “Malokara” at her Savage x Fenty show\, seen globally via Amazon Prime during New York Fashion Week. In 2020 released\, his highly anticipated VIBEZ Vol.4 featuring top hits like\, “Do You” and “Bellz.” In early 2021\, he released more hits like\, “Mad Ting\,” “Buss It” and “RedEye” with Justin Bieber which currently has over 100 million streams on Spotify. DESCRIPTION:Catch a Sunday night skate punk show with Pay No Mind w/Operative\, The Lords of This World\, Skadget and Piled Out at Zootown Arts Community Center in Downtown Missoula at 7:00 pm October 26\n\n\n\n\n\nPay No Mind is a skate punk band with hardcore and thrash influences consisting of former members of Stoned to Death and Super Sport (Great Falls). They have taken Missoula by storm opening for touring bands and supporting the local music scene. Two of their members are students at the U of M and have played shows on campus and supported headliner acts throughout town. \n\n\n\nSkadget is a psychedelic dive into the subconscious waters of this hallucination called life. Born in the monster mindscape of Dead Ed\, Skadget sat in a stew of bubbling muck for years\, unable to find life. But when that seed of a thought finally made contact with Dead’s friends D.L. Johnson and Carson Smith (and Juxtabunny in the psyrealms) it was jolted to life as the hydra you see before you!
