You can register online before this\, or pay at the door. \n\n\n\nWe will have some panels starting at 4:00 pm\, Merchants will be open for business\, Gaming will be set up and running in various locations across the grounds\, the Cantina and other hangout areas will be open and ready for people\, the Art Gallery will be lit and set\, etc. \n\n\n\nEvening programming takes over at 8:00 pm\, including parties (alcoholic and not)\, shows\, music events\, night gaming (gaming never stops throughout the convention)\, and more. \n\n\n\nFriday\, June 26: \n\n\n\nWe will have some panels starting at 10:00 am\, but Opening Ceremonies will take place at Noon. Our Guests of Honor and many panelists attend the Opening Ceremonies\, so it’s usually a good way to see and meet people. \n\n\n\nOn Saturday everything opens at 10:00 am: panels\, gaming\, the Art Gallery\, merchants\, etc. \n\n\n\nSunday\, June 28 will open at 10:00 am and will conclude with Closing Ceremonies\, which starts at 6:00 pm. DESCRIPTION:Take advantage of UM’s FREE UDash River Shuttle Service to get to the Clark Fork River Access points in Missoula at Sha-Ron and Milltown State Park Thursdays through Sundays in late June and through July\n\n\n\n\n\nFREE River Shuttles Return to Missoula this June & July!The University of Montana will again operate its free river shuttle to popular points on the Clark Fork River. The UDASH River Shuttle will begin service Thursday\, June 25\, and run through Saturday\, July 26. \n\n\n\nSummer shuttle buses will run Thursdays through Sundays\, departing from Campus Drive near the UM Outdoor Program building between the Campus Recreation Center and Washington-Grizzly Stadium. The River Shuttle stops at Sha-Ron river access point and Milltown State Park. \n\n\n\nThursday and Friday departures are from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm on the hour. Saturday and Sunday departures begin at 12 pm Noon and run until 4:00 pm on each hour. It’s recommended that passengers arrive at the bus stop 15 minutes before departure. \n\n\n\nRiver Shuttle riders also can enjoy free on-campus parking\, courtesy of UM Parking. UDASH staff will distribute parking passes before boarding on Thursdays and Fridays. No parking passes are needed on weekends. \n\n\n\n“Providing student-operated\, zero-fare river shuttles aligns with ASUM Transportation’s mission to provide safe\, sustainable and equitable transportation options to campus and the community\,” said Vickie Rectenwald\, UM director of the Associated Students of UM Transportation. \n\n\n\nPassengers must deflate all floatation devices and stow them under their bus seat or in their lap in an effort to maximize space. Stand-up paddle boards and extra-large equipment are not permitted on the bus. \n\n\n\nRiver recreators age 12 and older also are required to have a valid Montana conservation license\, which is required to access most state lands. Senior and youth licenses cost $4\, resident licenses cost $8 and nonresident licenses cost $10. More information  about the conservation license is available online.   \n\n\n\nRiver Ambassadors will welcome riders to the river and help educate recreators about how to safely and responsibly enjoy the Clark Fork. The Missoula River Ambassador Program is a collaboration between ASUM Transportation\, the Clark Fork Coalition\, the City of Missoula\, Missoula County\, the Missoula Conservation District and Montana Fish\, Wildlife and Parks. \n\n\n\n“We are grateful to all of our partners in the River Ambassador program\, and we are excited for another fun season of river recreation\,” Rectenwald said. \n\n\n\nSince 2021\, UDASH River Shuttles have averaged over 1\,700 trips each season\, Rectenwald said. DESCRIPTION:If you’d like to see real horsepower up close\, check out the Big Sky Draft Horse Expo at the Powell / Tri-County Fairgrounds in Deer Lodge 8:00 am to 9:00 pm Friday\, June 26 and Saturday\, June 27; and 10:00 am to 1:00 pm Sunday\, June 28\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Big Sky Draft Horse Expo has been the One and Only Draft Horse Show in Montana for the past three decades. The draft horse show provides a family-friendly event that offers education\, cultural history\, and fun for all ages with a small-town atmosphere. Feel firsthand the immense horsepower of these gentle giants when they pass in front of the grandstand. The Big Sky Draft Horse Expo offers the beauty\, grandeur\, and sheer power of today’s draft horses.The Expo’s goal is to educate the general public about draft horses\, mules\, and related equipment while entertaining the whole family. Several different breeds of magnificent draft horses and mules will be competing in classes during the three-day show. However\, this show is not just about the competitions\, it is about teamwork. Many of the participants are families who have owned and shown these draft animals for several generations. These families know what hard work is. Grandparents\, parents\, kids\, and grandkids are up early getting their horses and mules ready for the show or work. This is a year-round endeavor. \n\n\n\nThis exciting weekend boasts Show Hitch Classes including Cart Class\, Unicorn\, Unicorn\, Four\, Six Horse Confirmation Classes\, and several other classes open to the Show Hitches. There are also classes for those competitors who don’t own Show Hitches. This group is called the Open Class and these folks compete in working horse and driver classes; classes that feature skills such as log skidding\, precision\, and obstacle driving. There are even some classes that are based on SPEED! Also included in the show are classes for youngsters who are just getting started in this almost forgotten skill. \n\n\n\nExpo encourages our audiences to get involved. On Saturday Draft Horse 101 will be presented in front of the Grandstand. This is an opportunity to learn about draft horses\, harnessing\, and some of the equipment used in driving horses. There will be lots of time for questions. During the show\, there will be a time for kids to come down from the Grandstand and participate in a boot race or in stick horse barrel racing. Everyone is encouraged to visit the barns to meet the horses and their people. Bathing a one-ton animal is not nearly as easy as giving a bath to your dog. Harnesses are cleaned\, manes and tails are braided\, wagons and carts polished up. There is always something going on. This is where the public really gets an inside view of the devotion\, hard work\, and love these families have for their animals.
