Fearless\, he reports from the frontlines of a divided country on the brink\, addressing inequalities and injustices\, cutting through all bullshit and driving directly to the source of the matter. His songs leave the same mark in front of a sold-out club as they do under the unbiased eye of a smartphone camera as he strums his guitar alone in the wilderness of Arkansas. Following tens of millions of streams and a groundswell of acclaim from Rolling Stone\, the New York Times\, and more\, the singer\, songwriter\, and guitar player cuts deep on his 2025 full-length album Middle. “Breathe to write\, write to breathe\,” he says. “Humans are meant to create\, so I’m gonna create music and keep releasing it constantly.” \n\n\n\nJesse calls Ozark\, AR home. Growing up\, his father worked as a mechanic\, and his mom a school teacher. Early on\, his grandpa copied The Beatles’ White Album and Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band for Jesse. At 12-years-old\, he finally scrounged up enough to dough for a “$56 first act guitar from Walmart.” It became like another limb. He fed his obsession by checking CDs out of the public library and ripping them to the family computer\, embracing classics from Bob Dylan\, Joni Mitchell\, Joan Baez\, and Woody Guthrie. \n\n\n\nRelocating to Nashville\, he launched his eponymous band Welles\, releasing music and touring incessantly. He logged 280 shows in a year\, canvassing North America and Europe alongside the likes of Royal Blood\, Highly Suspect\, Greta Van Fleet\, and Dead Sara. Dropped from his old label (mid-Pandemic)\, he quit a job at a vegan meat manufacturer and returned to Arkansas. In February 2024\, life changed again when dad suffered a heart attack. Sitting in his father’s hospital room with a Woody Guthrie biography on his lap\, Jesse realized what he needed to do. \n\n\n\nHe walked into the Ozarks\, placed his phone on a tripod\, sang right to it\, and posted the performance. The ensuing series of videos made a seismic impact online. He impressively attracted over 1 million followers on Instagram by performing tunes like “Cancer\,” “Fentanyl\,” and “War Isn’t Murder” out in the cold. On a creative tear\, he served up two full-length albums\, Hells Welles and Patchwork\, and sold out successive headline tours. Capping off 2024\, he railed against the corruption of the healthcare system in the powerful polemic “United Health\,” which Rolling Stone hailed as “a John Prine-like ballad.” \n\n\n\nNow\, Jesse turns the page on another chapter with his new album Middle and its first single “Horses.”“It’s a pro-love song\,” he notes. “Fear leads to hate. Hate leads to all kinds of atrocities. You build up walls. If you love everyone\, it’s a lot easier on you—and everybody else too. Hate is a whip for the mule. Nobody gets nutrition from it.” \n\n\n\n“If my music helps you believe you can make art and tell the world how you feel\, there would be nothing better\,” he leaves off. “I hope you get those paints out of the garage or fill up your journal. Turn on your phone and say what you gotta to say. There’s so much wild stuff in my head. I want to see where it can go.” \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout RatboysDespite its title\, Ratboys’ Singin’ to an Empty Chair is not defined by what’s missing. Rather\, it’s the beginning of an important dialogue with a close loved one\, vocalist/lyricist Julia Steiner finds herself estranged from. The band’s sixth studio album – its first for New West Records – fills the space that person left behind\, showcasing Ratboys at the peak of their powers — twangy\, effervescent\, as confident as they’ve ever been\, and more emotionally interrogative than ever before. The four-piece Chicago band followed up 2023’s highly acclaimed The Window by reconvening with co-producer Chris Walla\, tracking at a rural WI cabin before taking the songs to Steve Albini’s famed Electrical Audio studios in Chicago and Rosebud Studio in Evanston\, IL. The results veer from bubbly power-pop to irresistible post-country\, along with heart-piercing ballads like “Just Want You to Know the Truth” and a detour into the extraterrestrial on “Light Night Mountains All That.” Singin’ to an Empty Chair also marks the first Ratboys album written since Steiner began therapy\, which she credits for the clarity found across the album’s unflinching examinations of relationship and self. In the event of cancellation due to extreme weather\, tickets will not be refunded. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Dirty Heads \n\n\n\nSince 2001\, Dirty Heads have mixed hip-hop\, reggae\, and rock to create a unique sound that both fully embodies their Southern California roots and resonates with audiences around the globe. \n\n\n\nDirty Heads are currently out-streaming some of the biggest alternative acts in the U.S.\, with over 1.34 MILLION digital track sales and over 3.2 BILLION global streams. Dirty Heads also have over 2.4 million unique monthly listeners on Spotify. \n\n\n\nThe band’s global appeal reached new heights in 2021\, when their hit “Vacation” (originally released in 2017) garnered over 6 billion views and streams across social media via the ubiquitous #VacationTransition challenge that originated organically with users on TikTok. \n\n\n\nThe group formed when punk rocker Dustin Bushnell (aka Duddy B) asked his friend\, rapper Jared Watson (aka Dirty J)\, to collaborate on a project that would focus on positive vibes and infectious grooves. Watson added singing to his vocal skills\, and later with percussionist Jon Olazabal\, drummer Matt Ochoa\, and bassist Dave Foral\, Dirty Heads began building an immense audience. \n\n\n\nIn 2008\, Dirty Heads released their acclaimed album Any Port in a Storm\, with a deluxe edition following in 2010. The deluxe version featured the track “Lay Me Down” with special guest Rome Ramirez of Sublime with Rome. The song reached number one on Billboard‘s Alternative Songs in May 2010\, and nine weeks later it established a record as the song with the longest stint atop the chart for an independently released title. \n\n\n\nThey followed up two years later with Cabin by the Sea and later recorded an acoustic version of the title track. This\, in turn\, led to an entire acoustic album in 2013 called Home: Phantoms of Summer. Dirty Heads’ next album\, Sound of Change\, proved to be a breakthrough for the now-veteran band\, debuting at number eight on the Billboard Top 200 while topping the Independent and Alternative Albums charts upon its May 2014 release. \n\n\n\nBuilding on their renewed success\, Dirty Heads enlisted a bevy of industry hitmakers to work on their self-titled 2016 follow-up\, which — thanks to its mainstream appeal — again charted high on the Billboard Top 200. The following year saw the band drop its sixth studio album\, Swim Team\, featuring the singles “Vacation” and “Staloney.” \n\n\n\nInspired by current events and the fan interpretations of their music in the #VacationTransition challenge\, the band went into the studio to work on new music. In 2021\, Dirty Heads released The Best Of Dirty Heads compilation\, which included a new collaboration\, single “Rage\,” with Travis Barker and Aimee Interrupter of The Interrupters. The band also released their highly anticipated 8th studio album\, Midnight Control\, in August 2022\, which featured 10 all-new songs\, including their take on Joe Walsh’s 1978 hit “Life’s Been Good.” \n\n\n\nIn 2023\, Dirty Heads released the digital deluxe version of their album Midnight Control\, featuring 23 tracks\, including acoustic versions of hit songs “Rescue Me\,” “Life’s Been Good\,” and “Island Glow\,” lo-fi versions of 3 album tracks\, 3 unreleased songs\, and more in addition to all 10 tracks from the original album. \n\n\n\nBefore performing their Top 5 hits “Life’s Been Good” and “Rescue Me” on The Today Show in 2023\, hosts Hoda & Jenna presented the band with a RIAA platinum plaque for their hit “Vacation\,” acknowledging sales of more than 1 million digital downloads since its release by Better Noise Music. The band’s take on “Life’s Been Good” has been streamed over 34 million times since its release and climbed to the Top 5 on the Mediabase Alternative chart. Dirty Heads also completed 29 dates on their Slightly Dirty Summer Tour across the U.S. with co-headliners Slightly Stoopid. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Rome \n\n\n\nFor more than a decade\, Rome Ramirez has been the voice behind a sound that shaped summers and soundtracked road trips. As the frontman of Sublime with Rome\, he’s played to packed crowds around the world and helped carry the torch for a band that defined a generation. But now\, for the first time\, he’s stepping out entirely on his own. \n\n\n\nBorn in the Bay Area to first generation Mexican-American parents\, Rome grew up surrounded by love\, hustle\, and music. Bob Marley played in the background. So did his mom’s classic soul and his dad’s rock records. He got his first guitar at 11 and started writing songs the way most kids played video games: all day\, every day. \n\n\n\nAt 20\, he landed the gig of a lifetime\, stepping into Sublime’s legacy and helping shape its nextera.
