SUMMARY:Big Sky Troubadours Legends Series: Pam Tillis w/ Archertown at O'Shaughnessy Cultural Arts Center
DESCRIPTION:Pam Tillis and her trio band perform with Archertown opening live at O’Shaughnessy Cultural Arts Center in Whitefish at 7:00 pm Thursday\, June 18\n\n\n\n\n\nJoin us for a legendary night with Pam Tillis and her trio band in the intimate setting of the O’Shaughnessy Center\, opened by local gem Archertown! \n\n\n\nAbout Pam Tillis: \n\n\n\nShe’s the daughter of Country Music legend Mel Tillis and multi-media artist Doris Tillis. \n\n\n\nA singer/songwriter whose compositions have been covered in Country\, R&B\, Bluegrass and Rock. \n\n\n\nAn actor with a long list of film\, TV and stage credits. \n\n\n\nPam Tillis sidestepped any notions of nepotism and other “isms” that women in show business often face and carved out her own unique space as an entertainer. \n\n\n\nTillis’ 1991 debut country album\, Put Yourself In My Place\, went gold and yielded two No. 1 and two Top 5 singles. \n\n\n\nHer next three albums – Homeward Looking Angel\, Sweetheart’s Dance and Greatest Hits\, were all certified platinum. \n\n\n\nShe achieved six No. 1 songs during the ‘90s Country explosion\, including “Shake the Sugar Tree\,” “Mi Vida Loca\,” “When You Walk In The Room\,” “In Between Dances\,” “Don’t Tell Me What To Do\,” and her signature song\, “Maybe It Was Memphis.” \n\n\n\n“It’s a hard thing to put your finger on\,” she says\, describing the enduring appeal of “Memphis.” \n\n\n\n“It’s a great melody and a cinematic lyric. It’s romantic\, but it rocks. And it’s a great vocal vehicle.” \n\n\n\nNot only did Country fans agree\, so have several aspiring artists. \n\n\n\nContestants on both American Idol and The Voice have used the song to showcase their talents. \n\n\n\n“In many ways this part of my career is more fun because it feels like the pressure’s off\,” says the CMA Female Vocalist Winner. \n\n\n\n“I feel much more relaxed and I can just enjoy the journey a little bit more.” \n\n\n\nTillis is currently finding a lot of satisfaction mentoring young performers and artists\, including those in her all-female acoustic trio\, The Rose Rustlers (Haley Sullivan and Carson McKee). \n\n\n\n“I love mentoring\,” she says. “I find myself working with so many Millennial musicians now. They’re accomplished players; none of them need help in the talent department. I’m just trying to pass on some of the things I’ve learned from 30 years of touring and how to navigate a very tough industry.” \n\n\n\n As Tillis stops to count her blessings\, she reflects on the bonds she’s made from teaming up with some other female veterans of Country Music\, including her fellow ‘90s chart toppers Lorrie Morgan\, Suzy Bogguss and Terri Clark. \n\n\n\nMorgan and Tillis have recorded and toured together as “Grits and Glamour\,” and Bogguss and Clark frequently tour with Tillis under the banner “Chicks With Hits\,” swapping songs and stories\, as only legends-in-the-making can. \n\n\n\n“I’ve made lifelong friends from these tours\,” she says. “It’s the kind of camaraderie I couldn’t find when I was the only gal on the bill with a bunch of male artists.” \n\n\n\nThe Grammy winner and Grand Ole Opry member’s talents extend far beyond her recording career – she’s an accomplished actor with an impressive list of credits\, including the films The Thing Called Love and The Neon Highway; the Broadway production of Smokey Joe’s Café; and TV shows LA Law\, Diagnosis: Murder\, Promised Land\, Drag Race\, Nashville\, and Fairwood. \n\n\n\n“I definitely thrive on variety\,” says Tillis\, who’s even stepped behind the camera to direct half a dozen music videos. \n\n\n\nTillis’ latest album\, 2020’s Looking For A Feeling\, finds her doubling down on one of her first loves – songwriting. \n\n\n\nShe wrote seven of the 11 tracks. \n\n\n\nSome of her most formative musical years were in the late ‘70s – and the album reflects that ‘70s Country Rock flavor. \n\n\n\nThe many threads of her influences were loosely woven together by hit Country writer/producer Jimmy Ritchey (Mark Chesnutt\, Jake Owen) on some tunes and Nashville rocker/producer Joe Pisapia (k.d. lang\, Guster) on others.

SUMMARY:Dueling Pianos with Dustin Brayley & Ross Bridgeman at Second Story / 101 Central
DESCRIPTION:Merie Productions presents Dueling Pianos with Dustin Brayley and Ross Bridgeman at Second Story / 101 Central in Whitefish 7:30 pm to 10:30 pm Friday\, June 19\n\n\n\n\n\nDoors @ 7:00 pm \n\n\n\nA high-octane\, request-driven live music party! \n\n\n\nYou asked for more! And you got it!Get ready for the most fun you can have on a night out in Whitefish. \n\n\n\nDueling Pianos at 101 Central’s Second Story is a high-octane\, request-driven live music party starring Dustin Brayley and Ross Bridgeman – two powerhouse performers battling (and blending) their way through the greatest hits of every era. Think part concert\, part comedy\, and 100% crowd-fueled from the first note to the last. \n\n\n\nThis isn’t a “sit back and watch” kind of show – you help write the setlist. The magic of dueling pianos is that it’s built around audience song requests\, sing-alongs\, clap-alongs\, and spontaneous moments that turn the entire room into one big chorus. \n\n\n\nSet inside the intimate\, elevated vibe of Second Story at 101 Central—a space designed to create memories where “old charm meets modern sophistication”—this is the ultimate date night\, friend night\, or “we deserve a night out” night. Come ready to laugh\, request your favorites\, and leave with your voice a little hoarse (in the best way). \n\n\n\nBring your crew. Bring your requests. And be warned: you may end up singing Sweet Caroline with a room full of strangers who suddenly feel like friends.

DESCRIPTION:Get funky\, jazzy\, and hip-hoppy with the 20 Grand Band at The Great Northern Bar in Whitefish starting 10:00 pm Friday\, June 19 and Saturday\, June 20\n\n\n\n\n\n20 Grand is a 9-piece funk powerhouse delivering groove-driven performances that are as electrifying as they are unforgettable. Blending influences from hip-hop\, jazz\, and soul\, their sound is layered\, dynamic\, and unapologetically rooted in one thing above all: the funk. \n\n\n\nFor over a decade\, this diverse and socially conscious collective has been elevating minds and igniting dance floors—bringing their signature energy everywhere from packed wedding celebrations to remote\, off-the-grid parties across the lower 48. Wherever they land\, 20 Grand creates an experience that’s equal parts music\, movement\, and connection. \n\n\n\nWhat began as a five-piece instrumental group has evolved into a full-scale funk ensemble\, complete with a powerful horn section\, driving rhythms\, freestyle flow\, and standout vocals. With each evolution\, the band has expanded its sound while staying true to its core: tight musicianship\, bold expression\, and a shared love of live performance. \n\n\n\nNow nine members strong\, 20 Grand brings a rich\, high-impact sound that fills the stage and pulls the audience in. Their shows aren’t just something you watch—they’re something you feel.
