SUMMARY:Rocking on Ryman at Monk's Bar
DESCRIPTION:Rock out at Rocking On Ryman\, where the music will be loud\, the energy high\, and the good times guaranteed with five great bands starting at 7:00 pm Saturday at Monk’s Bar in Downtown Missoula\n\n\n\n\n\nGet ready to rock out at Rocking On Ryman\, where the music will be loud\, the energy high\, and the good times guaranteed! \n\n\n\nSludge Inc.Sludge Incorporated is a multimedia sci-fi performance artcollective. We facilitate a community-centered space forexpression of existential dread by positioning the audience ascitizens of Sludge City – a nearby apocalyptic dystopia – andourselves as evil corporate overlords hellbent on extracting theworld’s natural resources for personal profit. Our chaotic\,hilarious live performances have been described as “completelyoriginal… unlike anything I’ve seen before” \n\n\n\n+J.A.D.E.J.A.D.E. is a high-energy band hailing from the mountains of small-town Western Montana. Their wide variety of influences shines brightly in their songs. This unique\, not quite rock\, not exactly pop sound with an edgy punk rock twist is addictive. They send driving rhythms\, interwoven melodies\, and powerful vocals straight through your ears deep into your heart and soul. When on stage they are focused on bringing a sound that inspires everyone to get on their feet and dance like the universe depends on it. \n\n\n\n+Tit TapePolitical Punk \n\n\n\n+Lust For GloryLust for Glory is a straight-forward\, three piece rock band with a rough edged “Lo-Fi” sense of rock and roll. Swinging from hard hitting riff to lilting\, spacey melody (sometimes within the same song) LfG genuinely disregards the conventional ideas of what rock and roll ‘should’ be. Raw guitar and frenetic drums keep the already jagged sound from getting dull\, the live performances ‘fresh’ and gives the listener the sense that they’ve caught the band with the garage door partially open. \n\n\n\n+Torso Manlo-fi folk project with emo and alt-country leanings \n\n\n\n\n\nEventBrite Tickets LINK

SUMMARY:Daikaiju Attacks Monk's Bar
DESCRIPTION:Daikaiju attacks Monk’s Bar in Downtown Missoula with performative instrumental surf rock at 8:00 pm on Sunday\, July 20\n\n\n\n\n\nDoors @ 7:00 pm / 21+ \n\n\n\n“This is what you need to know about Daikaiju: They’re loud. They’re all instrumental (duh). And they’re the band to see if you want to experience surf rock at its most offensive.” – Kelly Weidman\, The InformerDaikaiju is a mysterious chimera of sound and imagery that was first sighted in the winter of 1999. Entities of sonic mayhem\, Daikaiju takes the sound of waves crashing and shrieking atomic lizards and makes it rock in a way that instills shock and awe in all who experience their shows-a highly interactive and confrontational performance that literally draws the audience into the massive vortex of sound generated by the band. Concealed behind masks\, this troupe of mystery people create a mutant style of epic\, high energy instrumental rock that seamlessly incorporates a wide variety of musical styles including surf\, punk\, noise\, metal\, psychedelic and progressive rock.Like its namesake\, the music of Daikaiju is a great\, mysterious beast. Compelling melodies\, hard-hitting riffs and shifting dynamics fuse together to create songs that dare the listener to experience the secret history of the universe-a fantastic reality of giant monsters\, super humans\, and extraterrestrial invasions that unfolds like the soundtrack of the greatest monster movie never made. \n\n\n\nSupport:SenterlineSenterLine is a 3 piece rock group based in Missoula Montana. Their sound is a blend of punk\, classic rock and funk – rooted in the sounds and atmosphere of grunge music.
