Born in Turkey and raised in the U.S. from the age of three\, Tape B brings a distinctive sound that captivates with a blend of nostalgia and modernity\, termed “Old School x New School.” \n\n\n\nHis musical journey began at the University of Central Florida\, influenced by early 2000s hip-hop and electronic pioneers like UKF and The Glitch Mob. His career took a professional turn after a revelatory experience at the Lost Lands Music Festival in 2019. Tape B’s rise to prominence was fueled by viral SoundCloud mixes and dynamic live performances\, including his iconic “Yo\, Tape B” tag which has become a recognizable call throughout modern clubland and festivals. \n\n\n\nAchieving significant traction with remixes and original tracks\, including the standout “Trippy Land” with Mersiv and Juicy J\, “Gas Pedal Remix” with John Summit and Subtronics and “Ganja Tape” with Ganja White Night\, Tape B has redefined expectations within bass music. As of 2024\, Tape B achieved sellouts of every headline since December 2023\, including rapid ticket sales at Denver’s Mission Ballroom and New York’s Great Hall. His introduction of Tape B Block Parties in 2024\, as recently showcased across Texas with two sold-out events\, has brought classic and modern dubstep brilliance to the forefront\, further cementing his influence in the scene. \n\n\n\nWith plans for a debut album that encapsulates years of sonic exploration and a desire to influence the hip-hop scene more profoundly\, Tape B remains a vibrant and influential figure in electronic music. His commitment to innovation\, community\, and joy through music continues to drive his rapidly ascending career. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout LevityHailing from Chicago\, Levity is an electronic trio that captivates audiences with their multi-genre sound. The trio is recognized for their hip-hop-inspired drum patterns and melodically rich drops\, which make their music distinctive and their live performances engaging. Formed in 2019\, Levity has quickly become a global presence\, accumulating over 20 million streams and consistently appearing at major festivals and venues. Levity’s festival appearances include Electric Forest\, North Coast\, Summer Camp\, Lollapalooza (featuring a guest appearance by Chance The Rapper)\, EDC Las Vegas\, and DoLab at Coachella. \n\n\n\nAs they gearing up for a busy 2026\, Levity is set to embark on their breakout 2025/26 Lasership Tour\, playing sold-out shows at iconic venues such as The Shrine and The Eastern. The trio has also gone back-to-back with other high-class DJs like Crankdat and Tape B\, commonly referred to as Crankity B. The Levity boys\, with their rapidly expanding fanbase and upcoming new music\, are poised to continue their iconic performances and release a series of new tracks. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout EffinEffin has redefined bass music by blending innovative sampling\, next-level production skills\, and vintage-inspired aesthetics to craft a sound that feels both fresh and timeless. Since moving to Nashville\, Effin has embraced the city’s vibrant culture\, infusing its creative energy into his work while pushing the boundaries of modern bass music. Known for his ability to weave nostalgic charm with cutting-edge sound design\, Effin is carving a unique path in the electronic music landscape. \n\n\n\nEffin’s artistry reached new heights with the release of his debut album\, Cheap Thrills\, on September 8\, 2023. SUMMARY:Pub Sing with Lake Missoula Old Time at Western Cider
DESCRIPTION:Join Lake Missoula Old Time for an a’capella community Pub Sing session at Western Cider from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm the 3rd Sunday each month\n\n\n\n\n\nJoin LMOT and Friends for a Pub Sing at our favorite local pub: Western Cider! This is a beginner-friendly collaborative singing gathering. \n\n\n\nPub Sing is a casual “singing jam” of sorts (not a performance!). A wide variety of songs are welcome\, but ones with catchy choruses\, call and response\, or that are generally “sing-along-able” work best. We take turns leading songs\, and everyone joins in on the chorus or other repeated parts. It’s also totally fine to just sing along! You don’t have to lead a song if you don’t want to. \n\n\n\nTraditional songs\, folk songs\, sea chanties\, etc. are all great genres to draw from. We sing a cappella\, so no instruments are needed. \n\n\n\nFeel free to bring print outs of lyrics to share 🙂We hope you’ll join us!

In 2012\, The Carpenter hit #4 on the Billboard 200\, followed by Magpie and the Dandelion in 2013\, which debuted at #5 on the Billboard 200. The 2017 documentary May It Last: A Portrait of The Avett Brothers (co-directed by Judd Apatow and Michael Bonfiglio) chronicles the process of writing 2016’s True Sadness\, which debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Top Albums\, #1 on Rock Albums\, #3 on the Billboard 200\, and scored two Grammy nominations. The film was released theatrically and on HBO to rave reviews and is available on DVD/BluRay/VOD. In 2019\, the band released their tenth studio album Closer Than = Together featuring the single “High Steppin’” which reached #1 on the Americana Radio Singles Chart. The Third Gleam came out amidst the COVID-19 pandemic and debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Americana/Folk Albums\, #1 Rock Albums\, #1 Vinyl Albums\, and the single “Victory” hit #1 on the Americana Radio Singles Chart. This year saw the release of The Avett Brothers\, an album that is as much untitled as it is self-titled: a collection of songs that revealed themselves naturally over time. Swept Away – a musical inspired by & featuring the music of The Avett Brothers – recently debuted on Broadway. The Avett Brothers have been inducted into the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame and have earned a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Americana Music Association. They are currently on tour throughout the U.S. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Shane Smith and The Saints“It ain’t black or white\, babe; it’s all the greys between\,” Shane Smith sings in “The Greys Between\,” the first single from Norther. On the surface\, it’s a cinematic love song about a relationship’s twists and turns\, punctuated by slide guitar\, Appalachian fiddle\, and sharp storytelling. Take a deeper listen to Shane Smith and the Saints’ fourth studio album\, though\, and those words also sound like the motto of a band that’s spent the past decade blurring the lines between genres. \n\n\n\nNorther is anything but monochromatic. Written and recorded during breaks in the band’s touring schedule\, the album captures Shane Smith and the Saints at their most colorful\, offering up a hard-hitting version of American roots music that’s influenced by country\, folk\, and roadhouse rock & roll. It’s a sound that’s been shaped by the road\, where the Saints spent the past decade on tour\, building a cult audience with each gig. Those years of raw\, redemptive performances are now paying off — not only with headlining concerts at bucket-list venues like Red Rocks Amphitheater (which the group sold out in 36 hours) and the Ryman Auditorium\, but also with an appearance on the hit TV show Yellowstone\, where the Saints premiered Norther‘s final track\, “Fire in the Ocean\,” with an onscreen performance. \n\n\n\n“If you spend 10 years playing dive bars and small clubs almost every single night\, and you go to the merch booth after every show and hang out with the fans until the staff literally kicks you out\, you get to turn those fans into friends\,” says Smith\, who grew up in Terrell\, Texas\, before launching his band in Austin. “That’s how we built this thing. We’ve done as many as 240 shows in a single year. We’ve worked so hard to get there\, and that hard work has created a beautiful\, meaningful audience.” \n\n\n\nBeautiful\, indeed. Named after the northern winds that blow across Texas during the winter\, Norther begins with the haunting “Book of Joe.” Bennett Brown’s fiddle gives the song plenty of orchestral atmosphere\, Dustin Schaefer’s electric guitar adds anthemic punch\, and Zach Stover’s percussion — which builds toward a pummeling finish\, locking in with Chase Satterwhite’s bass along the way — rolls like thunder. At the center of that sound is Smith’s voice: a husky baritone that’s been textured by countless gigs in smoky bars and loud dance halls. It’s a gorgeously raw instrument\, caught halfway between tender and tough\, and it’s there — somewhere in the middle — that the Saints shine their brightest. \n\n\n\n“When you’re in a band like ours\, everyone gets their turn to play their music in the van\,” Smith explains. “Bennett grew up listening to Appalachian and Celtic-inspired folk and bluegrass music\, and you can hear that in the way he plays fiddle. Dustin grew up loving classic rock. When I met my wife\, she introduced me to music like Arcade Fire\, Alberta Cross\, and First Aid Kit — bands that I’d categorize as cinematic folk or cinematic indie-rock — and that had a massive impact on my writing\, too. Everybody in this band has their own influences\, and we’ve spent years together\, letting our sound evolve into something really unique.” \n\n\n\nThat sound began evolving onstage. Thanks to early albums like 2013’s Coast and 2015’s Geronimo\, Shane Smith and the Saints became a popular act in Austin\, regularly cutting their teeth with marathon gigs at venues like The Stage On Sixth. “We’d do four-hour sets\, sometimes back-to-back\, meaning we’d be onstage for eight hours\,” Smith remembers. “It taught us to grow tighter as a band\, experiment with our sound\, and find our identity.” \n\n\n\nReleased in 2019\, Hail Mary introduced the band’s current lineup\, as well as a heavier sound that separated the Saints from other Texas acts. It wasn’t rock & roll. It wasn’t country\, either. It was everything that connected those genres\, glued together by the camaraderie of a road-tested band that built its audience the old-school way: by hitting the stage and winning over the crowd\, song after song\, night after night. \n\n\n\nNorther builds upon that singular sound while also highlighting the bandmates’ road-warrior chops. “We’d be on the road doing shows\, and there would be a 48-hour gap where we’d fly into Dallas and try to record everything we possibly could\, then fly right back to wherever the bus was\,” says Smith\, who tapped producer Beau Bedford to helm the album. “It was like that for the entirety of the recording process.” The result is an album that’s filled with all the electricity and eclecticism of the Saints’ live show. For the band’s country-loving fans\, there’s “1000 Wild Horses\,” which barrels forward at a rootsy gallop. For rock fans\, there’s “Fire in the Sky\,” which makes room for fiery fretwork and a massive chorus. For those looking to slow dance\, there’s “All the Way\,” a threadbare piano ballad captured live in the studio\, imperfections and all. “Norther has little bit of everything\,” Smith says proudly. “It’s not a one-sided album. It’s got every single element of what makes up our sound right now.” \n\n\n\nFor an independent band like Shane Smith and the Saints\, the work is never done. “It’s like you can’t help but feel like you’ve paid your dues to get to a certain spot\, but once you get there\, you realize you’re just starting to touch the surface of the bigger picture\,” Smith admits. “At the end of the day\, it still feels like we’re getting discovered. But maybe that’s what it’s all about.” Norther is the soundtrack to that discovery. It’s the sound of a band pushing its limits\, broadening its reach\, and expanding its audience.

SUMMARY:Matt Axton at Longstaff House
DESCRIPTION:Americana singer-songwriter Matt Axton performs live at Missoula’s Longstaff House 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm Monday\, July 20\n\n\n\n\n\nMatt Axton is a gifted singer/songwriter. \n\n\n\nGranted\, that’s a claim made by many artists that inhabit the world of Americana these days\, but in Matt’s case\, it’s more than a mere boast. \n\n\n\nThe ability to make music is firmly infused in his genes\, courtesy of a family history that implanted that ability in him early on. \n\n\n\nWhile he modestly describes his sound as a “humble slice of Americana\,” it’s clear that it possesses so much more. \n\n\n\nWith a style that encompasses country\, folk\, roots\, rock\, R&B\, and pure pop proficiency\, he defies easy categorization. \n\n\n\nWith a rich reservoir of original tunes — over 300 in fact — and three well received albums (Blue Sky Rain\, Matthew C. Axton and Badmoon)\,  he’s established himself as a prolific and proficient singer\, songwriter and guitarist\, both on his own and at the helm of his various ensembles. \n\n\n\nEven a small sampling of his musical output proves the point. \n\n\n\nHis “Blue Sky Rain” is both stirring and seductive\, an easy amble that belies  its description of the topsy turvy travails that accompany the entanglements of relationships. \n\n\n\n“Born of Chains” is flush with steadfast determination\, a rugged\, relentless bluesy-rocker that conveys clear conviction and a desire to overcome whatever obstacles are tossed in his way. \n\n\n\nOn the other hand\, “Everything” is an homage to romance\, desire and faithfulness shared with some upbeat bluegrass banter. \n\n\n\nHere again\, Matt demonstrates his remarkable fluidity and a decidedly affable attitude. \n\n\n\nNotably\, he also keeps good company. \n\n\n\nMatt has recorded original material with Steve Ferrone (drummer for Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers) and Hal Cragin (bassist for Iggy Pop)\, and shared sessions at the legendary East West Studios in Hollywood where Tom Petty recorded much of his work. \n\n\n\nThe songs include: “Last Search”\, a Southern rock-style anthem; “Born of Chains\,” which shares a  sparse and dark singer/songwriter vibe; the Americana style “What a Day”; the soulful strains of “Soul to Sell” and “The Big South”\, a blues groove reminiscent ZZ Top. \n\n\n\nHe has collaborated on projects such as “Abbey Road Reimaged – A Tribute to the Beatles” where Aaron Badgley of Spill Magazine called Axton’s cover of ‘Octopus’ Garden’ “pure genius.” \n\n\n\nAxton tours nationally playing large festivals and iconic institutions as well as opening up for acts like Midland\, Paul Cauthen\, Jim Lauderdale\, and Nikki Lane. \n\n\n\nThe verve and versatility underscore the fact that Matt is a master of many motifs. \n\n\n\n“Matt’s powerful songwriting and vocals\, along with his natural rapport with the audience\, was the highlight of the 4th of July celebration where we hired him to play for the 3\,500 people at Donner Lake\,” said Ben Martin\, executive director of the Tahoe Truckee School of Music and Tahoe Music Professionals booking service.

Born in Texas\, raised in Louisville\, Kentucky and educated in Tulsa\, Oklahoma and… Australia\, Nichols has lived a lot of life in her 23 years and channels her observations and experiences into her songs\, often infusing commentary on everything from society and small-town life to current cultural trends into her lyrics. \n\n\n\nNichols burst onto the scene with the online phenomenon “I Got a New One” and has been building a fan base and online presence of 1M+ with each release with original songs like “Trailer Treasure\,” “Bad Taste” and “Somebody Cooked Here” each of them delivered in a sweet drawl thats both relatable and disarming. Her sparky release\, “Mama” seamlessly blends a broad- minded cheekiness (reminiscent of Kacey Musgrave’s Same Trailer Different Park-era) with a Toby Keith brashness and has accumulated 8 million views online. It’s not just fans who are taking notice\, the astute wordsmith has piqued the interest of the industry landing on a slew of “artist to watch” lists including Amazon Music\, Pandora\, Country Now\, Taste of Country\, Women of Country\, Holler\, Entertainment Focus\, All Country News\, Country Minuteand more. Nichols also captured the attention of Kelly Clarkson who covered “I Got A New One” on her show and the buzz surrounding her performance and Elizabeth’s reaction catapulted the song to the No. 1 song on the Country iTunes chart for multiple weeks. \n\n\n\nShe released her debut EP\, Tough Love in June and has already followed it up with new release including “Sweet Cigarette\,” the gut-punching “Daughter\,” cheeky ditty “Little Birds” and even cheekier “Oh The Things Men Do.” Nichols is continuing to create new music while also hitting the pavement to perform live. Since putting law school on pause in January 2025\, she has performed on several bucket list worthy stages including the legendary Blue Bird Cafe\, The Grand Ole Opry\, CMA Fest\, Stagecoach\, Kentucky Derby and The Kelly Clarkson Show and supported artists like Little Big Town\, Russell Dickerson\, Wyatt Flores and more. The PULSE Records artist is signed to CAA for booking. For more information and to stay up to date\, follow along on Instagram\, TikTok\, Facebook and YouTube.

They work to advance groundbreaking treatments that both treat opioid dependence and help heal the underlying wounds that lead to addiction. To learn more about the Etheridge Foundation\, visit www.etheridgefoundation.org \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Wynonna JuddWith the release of her 1992 self-titled solo debut\, Wynonna emerged as a singular force in American music. Beyond the five Grammy Awards\, the multi-platinum albums and sold-out tours\, the country/soul vocalist built on the Appalachian traditionalism that defined The Judds to create a world where Top 5 dance/club hits were as possible as being inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. Having practically grown up as America’s favorite musical daughter\, Wynonna matured into a woman who embraced how life is filled with peaks and valleys\, great thrills\, and heavy disappointment. Those realities informed her 5-times platinum Wynonna and nearing 3-times platinum Tell Me Why\, the albums that gave voice to every human being emerging into their own adulthood with joy in their heart. Beyond the groundbreaking music she and her mother created as The Judds\, Wynonna has grown into her once-in-a-generation vocal prowess with an ease that made people clamor to her. “No One Else On Earth\,” “Tell Me Why\,” “She Is His Only Need\,” “Girls With Guitars\,” and “I Saw The Light” set the next chapter in motion for the girl from Ashland\, Kentucky who became a global superstar. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Melissa Etheridge“I chose to survive\,” Melissa Etheridge sings on “Being Alive\,” the powerful\, exuberant opening song of the Academy Award and Grammy Award winning artist’s 17th studio album\, Rise. She then takes a pause\, the flurry of her guitar and her bandmates’ boisterous sounds fading out\, before she practically shouts\, with unbridled joy: “God I love being alive! “The words say so much. But in that pause — just a few seconds long — it’s as if she’s looking at everything that has happened in her life in the time since she last released an album of new material\, 2019’s The Medicine Show\, and with it everything that is to come on this remarkable\, emotional mosaic of songs. And it’s a lot. Co-produced by Etheridge and Shooter Jennings (whose production credits include Brandi Carlisle\, Tanya Tucker\, Charlie Crockett and\, of course\, his father Waylon Jennings) and featuring her sharp band of guitarist and keyboard player Max Hart\, drummer Eric Gardner and bassist Erik Kertes\, Rise soars as an intimate and richly realized collection. At turns it’s celebratory and playful\, as in the explosive “Don’t You Want a Woman” (picked as the official rally song of the Kansas City Current professional women’s soccer team) and “Tomboy” (reclaiming the term as a badge of pride)\, both punctuated by Etheridge’s hearty laugh. There’s “Matches\,” a frisky ode to the guitars that sparked her musical passion as a kid\, steeped in the spirit of childhood hero Johnny Cash. There’s the lusty honky-tonker “Davina\,” its singalong chorus sounding as if it could have been recorded in a raucous saloon. And there’s “If You Ever Leave Me\,” which starts with Etheridge cruising down Melrose in the ‘80s after first arriving in L.A.\, but goes on to glory in her marriage with Linda Wallem. “If you ever leave me\, I’m coming too\,” she sings\, with another burst of laughter. At others it’s contemplative\, most profoundly and movingly in “Call You\,” her deeply affecting account of living in the wake of the opioid death of her son\, Beckett\, in 2021. In it she looks deep in her soul and cherishes the strengthening embrace of family\, friends and community. This also filters through “The Other Side of Blue\,” a light-in-the-darkness anthem co-written and co-sung with Chris Stapleton. And at the end of the album she shines in the warmth of “More Love\,” written for and sung at her daughter Bailey’s wedding last fall. Ultimately\, it’s an album of acceptance and resilience.

On their sixth full-length album and Fearless Records debut\, Victory Garden\, Young the Giant reconnects with the core experience of 100% band collaboration\, writing and recording together as a unit in one room. Written largely during writing retreats in Idyllwild and Joshua Tree and produced by Brendan O’Brien (Springsteen\, Pearl Jam\, Soundgarden) at Henson Studios in Hollywood\, Victory Garden is a cohesive album experience that both inspires and enthralls. Lyrically\, the album is rooted in radical empathy\, showcasing the band’s songwriting instincts at its most immediate and heartfelt. Musically\, Victory Garden showcases the seasoned artist’s collective performances at their intuitive height. The result is a prolific record that beckons a new season of creative fertility for the band and presents Young the Giant as confident\, refined\, and fully inhabiting its voice. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Cold War KidsThe epic tale of Cold War Kids has long been defined by deeply personal songcraft\, enthusiastic experimentation\, and an avowed commitment to forward motion. Over nearly two decades\, the California indie-rock outfit has grown from gritty Long Beach beginnings into one of modern rock’s most enduring bands — amassing over 1 billion streams across their catalog and earning a devoted global fanbase through alternative radio hits\, critically praised albums\, and electrifying live performances. \n\n\n\nAcross ten studio albums and numerous EPs\, Cold War Kids have left an undeniable mark on the contemporary music landscape. Their 2015 Platinum single “First” remains one of the most played tracks at alternative radio over the past decade\, and they continue to blend sincere storytelling with captivating instrumentation. \n\n\n\nIn 2023 the band released their self-titled 10th LP\, Cold War Kids — a work that reflects both their roots and ongoing evolution. The album features standout singles like “Double Life\,” “Run Away With Me\,” and “Heaven in Your Hands.” 2025 saw the release of an emotionally charged tribute to the band’s longtime friend\, Richard Swift\, titled “Any Day Now.” In 2026 the band will celebrate the 20th anniversary of Robbers & Cowards which will come with touring across North America and the rest of the world. \n\n\n\nThe current lineup — Nathan Willett (vocals\, piano\, guitar)\, Matt Maust (bass)\, David Quon (guitar\, backing vocals)\, Matthew Schwartz (keys\, backing vocals\, guitar\, percussion)\, and Joe Plummer (drums\, percussion) — coalesced in 2016 and continues to maintain a vibrant presence both in the studio and on stages around the world. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLittle Image

He was too. Long known as one of the most optimistic bright lights in the pop singer-songwriter sphere\, Grammer found himself fighting demons and finding new corners of himself\, places he hadn’t wanted to venture before. “Being happy\, anger is my vulnerability\,” he says. “I didn’t know how to deal with getting in touch with anger. I just pretended it wasn’t there.” Grammer embarked on a long mental health journey that mirrored an exploratory five-year interim between albums which\, of course\, happened to coincide with a particularly tumultuous five years for all of us. After everything\, Monster\, arriving October 4\, became a document of someone walking through a fire they never wanted to even look at\, and what happens when they emerge on the other side.   \n\n\n\nIn the half decade since 2019’s Naive\, Grammer lived a lot of life. There were heart-bursting highs\, like welcoming his second child\, and harrowing trials\, including the rupture of an important relationship. During the bleak pandemic years\, he sought therapy for the first time\, and began realizing there were all kinds emotions he was just beginning to process for the first time. Originally\, Grammer experimented with capturing an era dynamic with both struggle and growth in smaller snapshots: A host of steady singles across 2020-2023\, as well as 2022’s The Art Of Joy EP. Back then\, Grammer planned to collect the singles alongside a few new songs for his fifth album. Instead\, he picked up a mandolin.   \n\n\n\n“Sometimes an instrument guides the way\,” Grammer reflects. “When you find a unique sound you want to chase and sit with completely\, then the album as an art form really starts to matter to me.”    \n\n\n\nGrammer wasn’t intending to make an album built around mandolin\, but it happened. He wrote one song called “Bigger Man\,” the genesis and skeleton key to what became Monster. It was an uncustomary track for him: grappling with anger\, but striving to remain bigger than the darker sides of that emotion. Suddenly a new album began pouring out of Grammer. The folk pedigree of the mandolin proved inspiring. “There’s something about Americana and the twang that felt real to me when singing about struggle\,” he explains.   \n\n\n\n“It was a color speaking to me\,” Grammer continues. “My barometer is whether I’m doing something out of fear or out of joy. Sometimes you reach for a paintbrush because everyone’s using it\, for fear of missing out. As I get older I ask myself why we’re reaching for a color. If it’s because it’s freaking cool and you’re excited to play with it\, then go.”   \n\n\n\nSoon\, Grammer had a whole batch of songs\, but he knew he had to bring this new sound into the studio and meld it with his anthemic pop sensibilities. He carried his mandolin around LA\, working with various producers. One partnership in particular helped shape Monster. Grammer took more of a co-production role on the album\, building songs up at his home studio. Then he’d take these recordings to Adam Friedman\, who provided drums\, bass\, and helped Grammer achieve the kind of sky-scraping singalongs he’s known for.   \n\n\n\n The same as the music came tumbling out of Grammer\, so too did a lot of emotional reckoning in the wake of his therapy. “The word ‘monster’ has some bite to it\,” he says of the moment when he realized it had to be the album’s title. “I began to realize getting in touch with my anger was essential. I began to make peace with it\, and the monster got less scary.”   \n\n\n\n“There’s a relationship between artist and listener — like a close friendship\, where you get to know each other better and better\,” Grammer ventures. He knew Monster would be his most vulnerable album yet. There were moments of fear. If he was the guy who was always there to lift others up\, how would people react to him opening up about difficulties? Grammer\, instead\, found listeners thanking him. “When you’re singing your truth\, it will relate\,” he says. “It was freeing\, to be honest.”   \n\n\n\n Grammer struck a careful balance on Monster: He laid it all out there lyrically\, but it’s not as if Monster is uncharacteristically heavy in aesthetic. Complex feelings were filtered through rousing instrumentals\, reflective ballads and rejuvenating jams alike. Across the album\, Grammer takes on a spectrum of human experience — the mandolin rippling alongside him\, like old wisdom surfacing to lead him to some kind of answer.   \n\n\n\nLike a good therapy session\, Monster excavates life from one angle after another. Lead single “I Do” features Grammer singing alongside country music duo Maddie & Tae\, in a song written about Grammer’s wife Aijia that both playfully and thoughtfully depicts how the couple navigates the ups and downs of long relationships. “I sing ‘Even when I don’t love you\, I do\,’” he says. “Aijia and I have a standard of love for each other that’s bigger than the moment. We’re both committed to something larger.” The couple wrote and recorded other material for the record\, including “Grey\,” a song that mulls over whether love will survive as we age\, and “Unforgivable\,” an unflinching track influenced by a friend’s divorce. Pain and euphoria mingle freely. Grammer reclaims his “nice guy” reputation after getting stung in “Save A Spot In The Back”; playing on “nice guys finish last\,” he proclaims “Save a spot in the back for me.” “Magic” surges forward like a classic indie-pop banger while reminiscing on loss and the unexplainable in life that\, nevertheless\, give it all its vibrancy. The song has an extra layer of poignance as the last composition Grammer wrote with his longtime collaborator Bram Inscore prior to Inscore’s tragic death.  \n\n\n\n Now 40\, Grammer’s seen his fair share of real shit\, and the songs on Monster capture it all — the ugly and the beautiful sitting alongside one another\, each making no sense without its counterpart. From the hurt and confusion of the album’s opening\, these songs trace Grammer’s process of re-centering himself with what really matters in life before concluding with “Friends And Family.” Grammer sings of all the wild turns his life has taken\, but decides “It all means nothing without friends and family.” It’s a portrait of a man who has wrestled with parts of himself\, and found what’s really important.   \n\n\n\n “I think people will understand the journey — from acknowledging the anger\, leaving and experiencing things\, and then coming home to realize you’re not able to be your full self without these things\,” Grammer concludes. “And when we all end up singing it together at the top of our lungs — that’s what makes life explosive.”   \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Walk Off the Earth \n\n\n\nWalk off the Earth is a JUNO Award-winning multi-platinum musical phenomenon. In the past few years alone\, they have headlined Red Rocks Amphitheater and Wembley Arena\, sold out the historic Sydney Opera House\, notched a top-10 single in Canada for 30 straight weeks and made it all the way to the top of the Pop Albums chart in the US. They’ve collaborated with artists from all genres including Snoop Dogg\, Sarah Silverman\, Keith Urban\, Steve Aoki\, Lukas Graham\, Lauv\, Lindsey Stirling\, and many more; sold millions of copies of their recordings and racked up billions of streams along the way. \n\n\n\nSince the group’s inception\, WOTE has continued to push the boundaries of what an artist can do. Their YouTube covers have won them Streamy Awards – the highest accolade in the online space – their renditions of the national anthem have been performed at major sporting events such as the NBA Finals\, and their original songs have earned numerous high-profile accolades (“Red Hands” achieved #1 at AAA radio while “Rule The World\,” “Fire In My Soul” and “I’ll Be There” have all been certified multi-platinum). The band kicked off 2023 with their viral single\, “My Stupid Heart” which marks their most successful single to date – garnering 1 million weekly streams\, 1 billion YouTube views\, 200 million TikTok views and counting\, performances on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and Live with Kelly & Mark\, and a remix version featuring Lauv. \n\n\n\nThe chemistry between band members Gianni\, Sarah\, and Joel is infectious and undeniable as Joel’s driving and prolific percussion work and Gianni and Sarah’s remarkable vocal talents continue to exhilarate fans across the globe. Their independent spirit\, unstoppable work ethic\, and awe-inspiring creativity have consistently catapulted Walk off the Earth to new heights and the future looks brighter than ever.
