SUMMARY:Documentary Screening "In the Company of Wolves: An American Journey" at The Wilma
DESCRIPTION:Logjam Presents welcomes “In the Company of Wolves: An American Journey” for a film screening at The Wilma in Downtown Missoula at 7:00 pm Wednesday\, November 18\n\n\n\n\n\nDoors @ 6:30 pm \n\n\n\nLogjam Presents welcomes “In the Company of Wolves: An American Journey” for a film screening at The Wilma in Downtown Missoula at 7:00 pm Wednesday\, November 18. \n\n\n\nAfter premiering at Cannes and a national theatrical run\, the documentary screens in Missoula with a live conversation on wolves\, ranchlands\, and the American West. \n\n\n\nMISSOULA\, MT – “It reminds us that the wild and the domesticated have always reflected the deeper story of who we are as a nation – and who we might yet become\,” says Academy Award winner Jeff Bridges\, who narrates In the Company of Wolves: An American Journey. Directed by Susan Kucera\, the film screens at The Wilma on Wednesday\, November 18\, at 7:00 pm. (Doors open at 6:30 pm). \n\n\n\nThe 83-minute film follows wolves\, bison\, horses\, cattle\, and sheep\, wild and domesticated alike\, on a journey from the shores of England to the American West. Along the way it traces how these animals shaped the nation’s folklore\, its landscapes\, and its sense of itself. Since premiering at Cannes\, the film has played to sold-out audiences in New York\, Los Angeles\, and Montana. \n\n\n\nAfter the film\, Jock Conyngham\, restoration Ecologist and hunter who is a longtime Missoula resident will moderate a live panel and audience Q&A on one of the West’s most pressing questions: how can wolves\, wildlife\, and working ranches share the same range? The conversation sets out to find common ground between those who work the land and those working to protect what lives on it\, two groups too often placed in opposition. \n\n\n\nThe panel features:– Jock Conyngham (moderator)\, Restoration Ecologist\, hunter and Missoulian– Patrick Byorth\, Water Lawyer\, Fish Biologist and former Montana Fish\, Wildlife Commissioner– Dr. Cristina Eisenberg\, Native American ecologist and author\, featured in the film– Matt Barnes\, Rangeland Scientist and Wildlife Conservationist– Cameron Krebs\, 5th Generation Rancher and Livestock Producer \n\n\n\nThe evening is sponsored by the Rangeland Foundation and The Wildlife Code with local support from Team Wolf. Ticket sales support The Wildlife Code\, a nonprofit dedicated to exposing what impacts wildlife. \n\n\n\nTickets on sale at Logjam Presents Box Offices and online while supplies last. This is a fully-seated event and all tickets are general admission available on a first come first served basis. All ages are welcome. \n\n\n\nTake a look at these tips to best prepare yourself for a smooth ticket buying experience. \n\n\n\nAdditional ticketing and venue information can be found here.
