SUMMARY:UDash Free Clark Fork River Shuttles from UM to Sha-Ron and Milltown State Park
DESCRIPTION:Take advantage of UM’s FREE UDash River Shuttle Service to get to the Clark Fork River Access points in Missoula at Sha-Ron and Milltown State Park Thursdays through Sundays in late June and through July\n\n\n\n\n\nFREE River Shuttles Return to Missoula this June & July! The University of Montana will again operate its free river shuttle to popular points on the Clark Fork River. The UDASH River Shuttle will begin service Thursday\, June 25\, and run through Saturday\, July 26. \n\n\n\nSummer shuttle buses will run Thursdays through Sundays\, departing from Campus Drive near the UM Outdoor Program building between the Campus Recreation Center and Washington-Grizzly Stadium. The River Shuttle stops at Sha-Ron river access point and Milltown State Park. \n\n\n\nThursday and Friday departures are from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm on the hour. Saturday and Sunday departures begin at 12 pm Noon and run until 4:00 pm on each hour. It’s recommended that passengers arrive at the bus stop 15 minutes before departure. \n\n\n\nRiver Shuttle riders also can enjoy free on-campus parking\, courtesy of UM Parking. UDASH staff will distribute parking passes before boarding on Thursdays and Fridays. No parking passes are needed on weekends. \n\n\n\n“Providing student-operated\, zero-fare river shuttles aligns with ASUM Transportation’s mission to provide safe\, sustainable and equitable transportation options to campus and the community\,” said Vickie Rectenwald\, UM director of the Associated Students of UM Transportation. \n\n\n\nPassengers must deflate all floatation devices and stow them under their bus seat or in their lap in an effort to maximize space. Stand-up paddle boards and extra-large equipment are not permitted on the bus. \n\n\n\nRiver recreators age 12 and older also are required to have a valid Montana conservation license\, which is required to access most state lands. Senior and youth licenses cost $4\, resident licenses cost $8 and nonresident licenses cost $10. More information  about the conservation license is available online.   \n\n\n\nRiver Ambassadors will welcome riders to the river and help educate recreators about how to safely and responsibly enjoy the Clark Fork. The Missoula River Ambassador Program is a collaboration between ASUM Transportation\, the Clark Fork Coalition\, the City of Missoula\, Missoula County\, the Missoula Conservation District and Montana Fish\, Wildlife and Parks. \n\n\n\n“We are grateful to all of our partners in the River Ambassador program\, and we are excited for another fun season of river recreation\,” Rectenwald said. \n\n\n\nSince 2021\, UDASH River Shuttles have averaged over 1\,700 trips each season\, Rectenwald said. Shuttle dates have been adjusted to account for earlier weather and river flow conditions\, and staff are predicting an increase in ridership for this summer. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPickup Point for UM UDash Free River Shuttle Service at the Outdoor Program HQ along Campus Drive outside the Fitness and Recreation Center\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nUDash 2026 River Shuttle Pick-Ups and Drop-Off Locations at Sha-Ron and Milltown Clark Fork River Access points

SUMMARY:Alice in Wonderland at Missoula Children's Theatre
DESCRIPTION:Missoula Children’s Theatre presents Alice in Wonderland\, an original adaptation based on Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass with Session 1 performances at 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm Thursday\, July 2; and Session 2 performances at 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm Friday\, July 24\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Missoula Children’s Theatre presents Alice in Wonderland\, an original adaptation based on Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. The story begins with Alice and her older sister Margaret reading together. Margaret becomes frustrated as Alice is curious about absolutely everything. Suddenly\, a White Rabbit appears from nowhere. After a quick and nonsensical conversation\, Alice follows the rabbit to a strange and wonderful place. In the course of her adventures\, Alice meets a band of Flowers\, the King and Queen of Hearts\, the Knave and the rest of the suit of Cards\, a giant Caterpillar\, a Fish\, a Frog\, the Duchess\, the Cook\, the Cheshire Cat\, the Gryphon\, the Mock Turtle\, a group of singing Lobsters\, Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum\, the March Hare\, the Mad Hatter\, the Dormouse and Humpty Dumpty. Through it all\, Alice grows “curiouser and curiouser” as to where she is and even who she is. In the end\, the answers she seeks are unimportant. Wonderland is all nonsense\, anyway. As the White Rabbit explains\, “Nonsense is fun!” \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBased upon Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass by Louis CarrollMusic by David W. DESCRIPTION:Idaho’s Americana band Tylor & the Train Robbers bring their blend of outlaw country\, folk\, and red-dirt rock to Monk’s Bar in Downtown Missoula at 8:00 pm Friday\, July 24\n\n\n\n\n\nDoors @ 7:00 pm / 21+ \n\n\n\nIdaho Americana band Tylor & the Train Robbers bring their blend of outlaw country\, folk\, and red-dirt rock to Monk’s! \n\n\n\nTylor & the Train Robbers are an Americana band rooted in the high desert landscapes of the American West and based out of Boise\, Idaho. \n\n\n\nKnown for their gritty lyricism\, tight musicianship\, and relentless work ethic\, the band has carved out a space in the national roots music scene with a sound that’s as timeless as it is fresh. \n\n\n\nFronted by singer-songwriter Tylor Ketchum\, and joined by brothers Jason Bushman (bass) and Tommy Bushman (drums)\, along with lead guitarist Antonio Vazquez\, their musical bond runs deep-fueled by family\, hard touring\, and a shared love of authentic storytelling. \n\n\n\nTheir music blends outlaw country\, red-dirt rock\, folk\, and Western soul\, echoing influences like Robert Earl Keen\, Townes Van Zandt\, and Steve Earle\, while forging a path that’s distinctly their own. \n\n\n\nWith rich harmonies and road-worn energy\, Tylor & the Train Robbers turn every show into a journey-equal parts sweat\, soul\, and story. \n\n\n\nSince releasing their 2017 debut album Gravel\, the band has continued to evolve both in sound and scope. \n\n\n\nTheir 2019 follow-up\, Best of the Worst Kind\, dug deeper into historical and personal narratives -most notably on “The Ballad of Black Jack Ketchum\,” inspired by Tylor’s distant relative and legendary outlaw. \n\n\n\nIn 2022\, they released Non-Typical Find\, a standout record produced by Cody Braun of Reckless Kelly\, showcasing a more refined\, expansive sound that remained grounded in character-driven songwriting. \n\n\n\nTheir latest release\, Hum of the Road (2024)\, further solidified their voice in the Americana scene-offering ten tracks that span rock-and-roll grit\, country swing\, and even touches of psychedelic folk. \n\n\n\nRecorded in Wimberley\, TX\, and produced by Cody Braun\, the album captures the tension\, romance\, and rawness of life on tour. \n\n\n\nAs Tylor puts it\, “Life on the road definitely can feel like the Wild West at times.” \n\n\n\nBuilding on the momentum of that release\, the band is now preparing to launch a new live album\, recorded in their hometown of Boise\, Idaho\, and set for release this January. \n\n\n\nThe project captures the raw energy of their live show and the deep connection they’ve built with their fans through years of relentless touring – sometimes clocking in over 200 shows a year. \n\n\n\nTylor & the Train Robbers have shared stages with Americana heavyweights like Turnpike Troubadours\, Reckless Kelly\, Silverada\, and The Wilder Blue\, earning a reputation as one of the hardest-working and most authentic bands on the circuit. \n\n\n\nWhether playing an intimate club or a packed festival stage\, they deliver performances rooted in honesty\, grit\, and brotherhood. \n\n\n\nFrom the open highways of the West to dive bars and festival fields\, Tylor & the Train Robbers continue to ride forward-carrying stories worth telling and songs worth singing.
