SUMMARY:Jumbo Celebration Hike with Montana Dirt Girls
DESCRIPTION:Celebrate 25 years of outdoor shenanigans with the Montana Dirt Girls when they host an anniversary Jumbo Celebration Hike starting from the Lincoln Hills Saddle trailhead at 6:00 pm Tuesday\, April 7\n\n\n\n\n\nCelebrate 25 years of hiking\, biking\, skiing and various shenanigans in the outdoors with Montana Dirt Girls! The plan is to hike from the Lincoln Hills saddle to the top of Jumbo\, pop some champagne & enjoy the company and views. It’s hard to believe\, but 25 years ago we had the first Montana Dirt Girls bike ride. It was born out of frustration that there wasn’t a women’s mountain bike group for new riders to learn skills and meet others who had similar interests. Now we are doing it and then some! \n\n\n\nWhat to bring: \n\n\n\n*Yourself\, most importantly!*Food to share at the top of Jumbo if you can (don’t let this stop you\, we’d rather just have you show up) \n\n\n\n*Good energy in helping to enjoy the spirit we have all created over the past years. \n\n\n\n* Wear some fun clothing (tutu’s\, crazy hats and sparkles welcome)Trailhead LocationMap of Route \n\n\n\nThe hike will be about 4 miles with 1000’ of elevation gain. \n\n\n\nIt might be a good idea to leave dogs at home this time or have them leashed at the top as we’ll have food on the ground that will be tempting for them to enjoy.

SUMMARY:Jeff Tweedy "Twilight Override" Tour w/ special guest Macie Stewart at The Wilma
DESCRIPTION:Logjam Presents welcomes Jeff Tweedy for a live concert performance on the “Twilight Override” 2026 Tour with special guest Macie Stewart at The Wilma in Downtown Missoula at 7:30 pm Tuesday\, April 7\n\n\n\n\n\nLogjam Presents welcomes Jeff Tweedy for a live concert performance on the “Twilight Override” 2026 Tour with special guest Macie Stewart at The Wilma in Downtown Missoula at 7:30 pm Tuesday\, April 7. \n\n\n\nTickets on sale at Logjam Presents Box Offices and online while supplies last. This is a fully-seated event with general admission seated floor and reserved balcony seating tickets available. All ages are welcome. \n\n\n\nTake a look at these tips to best prepare yourself for a smooth ticket buying experience. \n\n\n\nAdditional ticketing and venue information can be found here. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Jeff TweedyWhen you align yourself with creativity and creation\, you align yourself with something that other people call God. And if you align yourself with creation\, you have automatically taken a side against destruction. You’re on the side of creation. And that does a lot to quell the impulse to destroy. \n\n\n\nIs the world getting darker? Sure feels like it. What is it? Is it the pervasive nagging toothache of dread that comes with witnessing the disintegration of a country that you thought you knew and understood? A home you still love with a love that could never be taken away\, regardless of how painful that love has become. That sense of decline is hard to ignore\, and it must at least be a part of the shroud  I’m trying to uncover. The twilight of an empire seems like a good enough jumping-off point when one is jumping into the abyss. \n\n\n\nTwilight sure is a pretty word\, though. And the world is filled with former empires\, so maybe that’s not where this dissonance is coming from entirely. Could be how old I’ve managed to become without warning. My own personal Twilight. What ever it is out there (or in there) squeezing this ennui into my day\, it’s fucking overwhelming. It’s difficult to just ignore. Twilight Override is my effort to overwhelm it right back. Here are the songs and sounds and voices and guitars and words that are an effort to let go of some of the heaviness and up the wattage on my own light. My effort to engulf this encroaching nighttime (nightmare) of the soul. \n\n\n\nWhat I really want to do is grow my heart big enough to love everyone. And if I want a heart to grow big enough to meet this moment\, it requires something expansive. “Like a TRIPLE record!?”\, you ask? Yes! Like a goddamn triple record! I mean…What else do I have but my songs and my family and my friends? What else do any of us have to keep the lights on? How else can I generate my own light? To me any song\, no matter what the subject matter\, can be a point of light and that’s one of the reasons I try and make so many of them. They all have the potential\, even the heaviest music on the Earth has the potential\, to lift someone up. This sounds like a Hallmark card\, but it rocks harder than a Hallmark card. \n\n\n\nI’m aware the day ends and the sun sets no matter how hard we wish for it to lift itself back out of the ocean. So I guess what we’re really talking about is time. In a way these three records represent the past\, present and future. The darkness comes and goes. But the clock keeps plowing ahead. We all want more. But not more of this particular shitty time. It feels like the clock is camped out at the worst part of the day. Everyone stuck saying goodbye to the future they woke up to. Waiting for it to get dark enough to dream up a new day. \n\n\n\nTruthfully\, I’ve been doing this for a long time. And I’m not going anywhere. This is the stuff that works for me. I can’t sing and be afraid at the same time. And dreaming at twilight isn’t forbidden. Not quite a daydream and nowhere near a nightmare. Twilight dreaming is a lovely workaround. Killing time with key changes and harmonies. Feel free to join us all here. Not singing into the void or at the void. Just singing. Feeling good. Together. It will do you no harm. Sharing this music with the world is the best I can do. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Macie StewartMacie Stewart is a musician and multi-disciplinary artist based in Chicago\, IL. Heralded for their versatility\, Stewart works with piano\, violin\, guitar\, voice\, and synthesizers\, effortlessly traversing styles and scenes. Stewart is a distinguished\, go-to collaborator who Pitchfork credits with “making some of the best tracks of the past five years transcendent.” \n\n\n\nAs a composer\, Stewart’s work continues to dissolve the boundaries between disciplines. Aside from her debut record\, “Mouth Full of Glass” released in 2021 on Orindal Records and rereleased in 2022 on Full Time Hobby Records- Macie also composed a piece for Hubbard Street Dance’s film\, “Half of Us\,” alongside Sima Cunningham in 2021. That same year\, they worked with Sima Cunningham and Alex Grelle to produce a performance piece paying homage to Kate Bush. In 2022\, Stewart/Cunningham composed the score for a 50-piece orchestra premiering the Pacific Northwest Ballet’s “Before I Was.” And in 2023\, choreographer Robyn Mineko Williams enlisted Stewart to create a sound installation for her dreamlike performance piece\, Hisako House. Most recently\, Stewart was invited to compose a site-specific piece for the ESS Florisonic Installation at Lincoln Park Conservatory. As part of the longest running sound installation in North America\, their twenty-minute composition titled “The World Doubles in Size” played in the conservatory’s fern room from September through November of 2024.

SUMMARY:Larry Fleet "Another Year Older" 2026 Tour at Wachholz College Center
DESCRIPTION:Tennessee-born country troubadour Larry Fleet performs live on his “Another Year Older” 2026 Tour at Wachholz College Center on the FVCC campus in Kalispell at 7:30 pm Thursday\, April 9\n\n\n\n\n\nTennessee-born troubadour Larry Fleet grew up on a stack of records that spun everything from Merle Haggard and Willie Nelson to Otis Redding and Marvin Gaye. That mix shaped a sound rooted in country storytelling but unafraid to reach beyond its borders. A thoughtful songwriter with a knack for sharp one-liners\, sturdy hooks\, and a powerhouse voice that cuts straight to the truth\, Fleet was working blue-collar jobs long before ever landing a record deal. \n\n\n\nA devout family man and respected songwriter (including co-writing “Man Made A Bar\,” recorded by Morgan Wallen featuring Eric Church)\, Fleet has built an impressive catalog: 2019’s aptly titled “Workin’ Hard”\, 2021’s “Stack of Records” – a nod to the music that raised him – 2023’s “Earned It” with the standout “Things I Take for Granted\,” and now 2025’s independently released “Hard Work & Holy Water”. \n\n\n\nFleet is doing things his own way – touring globally\, connecting with fans\, and staying true to where he’s from while taking country music somewhere new.  \n\n\n\n\n\nPURCHASE TICKETS LINK

SUMMARY:Artist David Secrest exhibit opening "The Unprejudiced Silence of Things that Are” in the Wanda Hollensteiner Art Gallery at Wachholz College Center
DESCRIPTION:The Wanda Hollensteiner Art Gallery holds an opening exhibit reception for “David Secrest: The Unprejudiced Silence of Things that Are” at Wachholz College Center on the FVCC campus in Kalispell 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Friday\, April 10\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Wanda Hollensteiner Art Gallery presents “David Secrest: The Unprejudiced Silence of Things that Are” at Wachhold College Center on the FVCC campus in Kalispell. The show opens April 7 and runs through May 23\, 2026\, with a free public opening reception on Friday\, April 10\, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. \n\n\n\nDavid Secrest is a nationally known sculptor and blacksmith celebrated for his mastery of forged iron\, fabricated steel and bronze. He is also an accomplished draftsman\, ceramicist and woodworker. Secrest has designed\, engineered\, and hand-built his extraordinary home and sculpture studio in the woods above Flathead Lake near Somers\, a setting that has shaped his solitary creative process. Over a career spanning more than four decades\, he has developed a singular visual language rooted in natural form\, material history and the intentional manipulation of metal. \n\n\n\nIn 2017\, Secrest was named “Master Metalsmith” by the Metal Museum in Memphis\, Tennessee — one of the highest distinctions in the field. The honor is awarded to artists with more than 20 years of exceptional studio practice and is jury selected by a committee of leading metalworking professionals. To date\, fewer than 40 artists have received the designation. \n\n\n\nSecrest’s sculptures and furniture are held in private and institutional collections across the country\, including the University of Montana\, and have been shown at major national venues\, including the Philadelphia Museum of Art\, SOFA Chicago\, the Armory in New York City\, the National Ornamental Metal Museum\, the Prichard Art Gallery at the University of Idaho\, and Art Market San Francisco. He has shown at the Paris Gibson Museum\, the Holter Museum\, the Missoula Art Museum\, and the Glacier Museum of Art. He has exhibited extensively with Gail Severn Gallery in Ketchum\, Idaho. \n\n\n\nHis work has been recognized with the Silvermine Guild of Artists Prize\, the Rolex Prize for Excellence in Metal\, and a WESTAF/NEA Regional Fellowship for Visual Artists. The title of this show\, “David Secrest: The Unprejudiced Silence of Things that Are\,” is a quote from the philosopher Henry Bugbee. To Secrest\, the quote evokes the quiet immutability of the objects he ultimately creates. \n\n\n\nEveryone is invited to attend the exhibition opening reception in the Wachholz College Center’s Wanda Hollensteiner Art Gallery on Friday\, April 10 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Following the opening event\, the exhibition will be available for public viewing through May 23. The gallery is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm as well as during WCC showtimes for patrons with tickets to WCC performances.
