SUMMARY:Signs of Tranquility\, Blessiddoom & The Strangelys at The Dark Horse
DESCRIPTION:Signs of Tranquility from Denver hits the stage at The Dark Horse Bar in Missoula with opening sets from Blessiddoom and The Strangelys starting at 7:00 pm Thursday\, June 4\n\n\n\n\n\nSigns of Tranquility is a melodic metal band with a touch of EDM from Denver. The vision for the project began years before its official formation\, with the goal of blending the cinematic power of symphonic metal with the pulse of EDM and industrial music. After laying the groundwork for this hybrid sound\, musicians from across the Denver metro and surrounding areas came together in 2019 to form Signs of Tranquility. Work quickly began on a self-titled debut album and first live performance – until the global shutdown of 2020 paused everything. \n\n\n\nUndeterred\, the band pressed forward\, collaborating remotely through online tools and pushing the project forward until early 2021. At that point\, recording sessions resumed in Denver\, leading to the completion of their debut album. The first single\, All Against Me\, was released in June 2021 with an accompanying music video. Shortly after\, the band caught the attention of Pittsburgh-based independent label DI Records\, leading to the release of three more singles – Alive and Well\, Savior\, and Vivid Emotion – alongside the album’s full release. \n\n\n\nSince then\, Signs of Tranquility has been building a strong presence in the Colorado metal scene and beyond. They’ve performed across the state\, sharing stages with national and international acts such as Fate Destroyed\, Burning Witches\, Visions of Atlantis\, and Seraina Telli. In 2023\, the band embarked on their first mini-tour\, performing at a Las Vegas metal festival\, followed by a 2024 appearance at the Ladies of Metal Festival in Wyoming. \n\n\n\nCurrently\, Signs of Tranquility is working on two brand-new EPs of original music\, with the first single\, The Enforcer\, available now. To truly experience what the band has become\, fans are encouraged to catch them live—because that’s where the magic happens. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBlessiddoom began in the fall of 2005 on a mission to shine a light on social norms that often label people\, places and things as being unwanted or ugly in some way\, but hold their own inner beauty. Showcasing any oxymoron even in the name\, that our doom would indeed be blessid. Having come from modest means\, Blessiddoom aims to be a voice for the shunned\, the societal outcasts or the metalhead that was always told they would grow out of it. With lyrics that can be seen as quite serious\, Blessiddoom does not take themselves too seriously – ultimately just wanting to have the best parties we can while we are still here. “We don’t have a lot of time on this earth\, we weren’t meant to spend it this way.”Blessiddoom is very proud to announce after years of tracking\, retracking\, rewriting\, bringing in new members and what seemed like a never-ending world of shit\, that our new album Insidious Parasite was released in 2023. The parasite is already inside you. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n(strange•leez) A punk rager at the cemetery – a wild mix of skate punk and death rock.

SUMMARY:Stumptown Get Down Electronic Music Festival benefiting North Valley Music School at Whitefish Depot Park
DESCRIPTION:Support North Valley Music School at the fundraising Stumptown Get Down 2026 Electronic Music Festival featuring Balkan Bump\, DJ Trayze\, Dan Dubuque\, and DJ JC performing live 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm Saturday\, June 6\n\n\n\n\n\nBALKAN BUMP  \n\n\n\nBalkan Bump is the global electronic music project orchestrated by trumpet player\, producer and ethnomusicologist Will Magid. \n\n\n\nBalkan Bump’s music fuses heavy electronic production with global music influences including traditional Balkan brass melodies\, Middle Eastern sounds and American hip hop. \n\n\n\nThe Balkan Bump live show highlights Magid’s expertise as an orchestrator\, ranging in size from a solo performer to a 12-piece band featuring a menagerie of global instruments including sitar\, saz\, oud\, clarinet and trumpet. \n\n\n\nThe live performance’s popularity has brought the project to global renown with performances at the world’s biggest music stages including Coachella\, Bonnaroo and Lightning In A Bottle\, as well as beloved jazz\, blues and world music festivals including Harvest Music Festival and CA WorldFest\, and numerous appearances at Colorado’s famed Red Rocks Amphitheatre. \n\n\n\nBalkan Bump debuted with the single “Aymo” alongside famed Slovenian producer Gramatik and American hip hop royalty Talib Kweli. \n\n\n\nGramatik quickly championed the new project\, unveiling Balkan Bump’s live show on his Re:Coil Tour and releasing Balkan Bump’s debut EP on his Lowtemp label imprint. \n\n\n\nSince then the Balkan Bump project has gone on to collaborate with global and live music projects Beats Antique and Moon Hooch; international electronic music superstars CloZee\, Fakear\, & Manic Focus; and American hip hop icon The Gift Of Gab (Blackalicious). \n\n\n\nBalkan Bump has been featured in Billboard Magazine\, NPR’s The World\, The San Francisco Chronicle and Magnetic Magazine. \n\n\n\nIn 2020 Magid curated a series of global music mixes for Los Angeles-based Dublab Radio under the Balkan Bump alias. \n\n\n\nAs a solo artist\, Will Magid has collaborated and performed with artists including Bonobo\, Erykah Badu\, Pretty Lights\, and soul music legend Solomon Burke. \n\n\n\nHe has led numerous jazz and global music outfits including his eponymous soul-funk band’s seminal Alligator Spacewalk album in 2016\, and the 2017 neoclassical exploration Lunar Conquest Suite. \n\n\n\nHis music has been featured in campaigns for global brands including Warner Brothers\, Uber\, Porsche\, HP\, Vogue\, GoPro and Ubisoft. \n\n\n\nMagid graduated from The UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music with a degree in Ethnomusicology. \n\n\n\nDJ TRAYZE  \n\n\n\nTrayze is a musical powerhouse\, both on stage and in the studio\, renowned for his high-energy DJ sets and unmatched turntable skills. \n\n\n\nPerforming at nightclubs and festivals across the globe\, he has earned acclaim for his hit remixes and edits\, which are supported by some of the world’s top DJs. \n\n\n\nHailing from Washington\, D.C.\, Trayze is a master at blending hip-hop\, house\, funk\, and party anthems\, igniting dancefloors at premier clubs and events worldwide. \n\n\n\nNotably\, he has won the prestigious Red Bull 3Style DJ Competition in the U.S.—twice! \n\n\n\nHe is trusted by some of the world’s most recognized brands to energize parties and represent at televised events\, he has also backed up several of your favorite recording artists on tour. \n\n\n\nWhen he’s not creating magic in the studio\, Trayze is busy stamping his passport\, performing across multiple continents with dozens of shows and club sets each year. \n\n\n\nWith over two decades of experience packing dance floors and a career as a respected producer\, Trayze continues to shape the sound of nightlife while leaving an indelible mark on the global music scene. \n\n\n\nDAN DUBUQUE  \n\n\n\nIn a world of abundant harmonies\, yowling collaboration and a full saturation of lyrics\, Dan Dubuque does something simple and audacious: He wordlessly performs a broad appeal of genres on a single instrument. \n\n\n\nWhat could be described as an action-packed wallop of sheer sonic improbability\, the energy of Dubuque’s Weissenborn slide guitar heightens the senses with thump\, sass and force.  \n\n\n\nDubuque’s engaging solo work stands easily on its melodic\, muscular strength\, instrumental skill and non-conforming charisma\, but his strangely brewed set list of rock\, pop\, 1990s grunge and heavy metal is a revelation. \n\n\n\nIndeed\, the range of Dubuque’s repertoire is incisive\, an extremely wide course of study that surprises even him.   \n\n\n\nIn addition to its total lack of limitations\, another glaring feature of Dubuque’s music is that it isn’t overrun with production or gimmicks. \n\n\n\nThere is a raw objectivity and toughness to his playing that he carries out with the surety of the guillotine. \n\n\n\nExhilarating to hear\, Dubuque’s music projects a relentlessly physical character to see.  \n\n\n\nWhile captivation is his aim\, resourcefulness is his vessel; Lending each genre a distinct air of passion\, he reads the audience with an eagle’s intuition and a wolf’s impulse to determine what comes next.   \n\n\n\nDubuque sounds as if he is as eager as ever to fight the system\, buck the rules\, take on the establishment and let the music stand alone.  \n\n\n\nAn ambitious artist outfitted with an ambitious instrument\, Dubuque is all about sharing the intoxicating pleasures of the Weissenborn’s sound\, color and movement.  \n\n\n\nJC  \n\n\n\nFrom the basement to the stage\, JC has been rocking turntables for over 20 years in Montana. \n\n\n\nYou can expect the unexpected with tunes ranging from funk\, soul and R&B to hip hop\, pop and even some electronic music. \n\n\n\nHe has graced the stage with acts such as Chali 2na\, Lyrics Born\, Zion I\, DJ Logic\, and Sir Mix-A-Lot. \n\n\n\nEvery set is sure to be unique and take the listener on a journey with the dancefloor as their vehicle.

Welcome to the lethal littered landscape of Jim Heath’s imagination. True to his high evangelical calling\, Jim is a Revelator\, both revealing & reinterpreting the country-blues-rock roots of American music. He’s a time-travelling space-cowboy on a endless interstellar musical tour\, and we are all the richer & “psychobillier” for getting to tag along. \n\n\n\nSeeing REVEREND HORTON HEAT live is a transformative experience. Flames come off the guitars. Heat singes your skin. There’s nothing like the primal tribal rock & roll transfiguration of a Reverend Horton Heat show. Jim becomes a slicked-back 1950′s rock & roll shaman channeling Screamin’ Jay Hawkins through Buddy Holly\, while Jimbo incinerates the Stand-Up Bass. And then there are the “Heatettes”. Those foxy rockabilly chicks dressed in poodle-skirts and cowboy boots slamming the night away. It’s like being magically transported into a Teen Exploitation picture from the 1950′s that’s currently taking place in the future. \n\n\n\nListening to the REVEREND HORTON HEAT is tantamount to injecting pure musical nitrous into the hot-rod engine of your heart. The Reverend’s commandants are simple. \n\n\n\nROCK HARD\, DRIVE FAST\, AND LIVE TRUE. \n\n\n\nAnd no band on this\, or any other\, planet rocks harder\, drives faster\, or lives truer than the Reverend Horton Heat. These “itinerant preachers” actually practice what they preach. They live their lives by the Gospel of Rock & Roll. \n\n\n\nFrom the High-Octane Spaghetti-Western Wall of Sound in “Big Sky” — to the dark driving frenetic paranoia of “400 Bucks” – to the brain-melting Western Psychedelic Garage purity of “Psychobilly Freakout” — The Rev’s music is the perfect soundtrack to the Drive-In Movie of your life. \n\n\n\nJim Heath & Jimbo Wallace have chewed up more road than the Google Maps drivers. For twenty-five Psychobilly years\, they have blazed an indelible\, unforgettable\, and meteoric trail across the globe with their unique blend of musical virtuosity\, legendary showmanship\, and mythic imagery. \n\n\n\n“Okay it’s time for me to put this loaded gun down\, jump in my Five-Oh Ford\, and nurture my pig on the outskirts of Houston. I’ll be bringing my love whip. See y’all later.” – Carty Talkington Writer/Director \n\n\n\nRev your engines and catch the sermon on the road as it’s preached by everybody’s favorite Reverend. Don’t forget to keep an eye out for the 11th studio album from REVEREND HORTON HEAT\, boldly titled Rev\, due out January 21st. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout The SurfrajettesThe Surfrajettes are a four-piece instrumental combo from Toronto\, ON\, Canada.  Since forming in late 2015\, the band has charmed audiences with their clever mix of  psychedelic rock and reverb-drenched surf music\, sky-high beehives\, go-go boots\, and eyeliner as thick as their guitar strings.   \n\n\n\nThe band achieved viral online notoriety from their home-made performance videos and their feature by Norman’s Rare Guitars in LA. The debut 45 single “Party Line / Toxic” released late 2018 on Hi-Tide Recordings to immediate success. The band has toured extensively in its support\, including performances on The Beach Boys Cruise\, The Melissa Etheridge Cruise\, at Sea.Hear.Now\, Nashville Boogie\, Wild O Fest in Mexico City\, The Surf Guitar 101 Convention\, Tiki Oasis & Hi Tide Summer Holiday:  Asbury Park.   \n\n\n\nThey spent the rest of 2020 and most of 2021writing and recording their debut LP  “Roller Fink” from Hi-Tide Recordings / Virgin Music\, that released in 2022. Amidst  touring throughout the last few years in Canada\, the U.S.A\, and Europe\, they wrote  their highly anticipated second LP\, “Easy as Pie”\, which released in October\, 2025.   \n\n\n\nThe Surfrajettes are guitarists Shermy Freeman and Nicole Damoff\, bassist Abby Jo  Powell\, and drummer Annie Lillis. When not on tour\, the group is busy woodshedding  in their secret beach hut\, sewing new miniskirts\, debating vintage gear\, and  daydreaming about performing in a Quentin Tarantino movie.
