Named after St. Ignatius in the Mission Valley—home to the group’s founding members and named for the patron saint of soldiers—the band draws on their roots in rural Montana to bridge the past into the present. Through their relatable\, poetic storytelling and by recording songs in historic locations\, they connect a modern perspective with the lives and experiences of those who came before. Their music draws from indie folk\, rock\, Midwest emo\, and bluegrass\, creating a unique blend that is both reflective and exhilarating. \n\n\n\nTheir debut singles launched with a series of immersive music videos and live session recordings\, each set at historic Montana landmarks including the Philipsburg Opera House Theatre\, the Conrad Mansion\, and Paradise Elementary School. Having first played music together at the tender age of 12\, the group reunited and quickly hit their stride\, transforming the project into a full-fledged live band. Lord Huron’s debut LP Lonesome Dreams was released in 2012 followed by Strange Trails in 2015. The latter featured the multi-platinum single “The Night We Met\,” which has gone on to become one of Spotify’s Top 40 most-streamed songs of all time. In 2018\, Lord Huron earned widespread critical acclaim and a Top 5 debut on the Billboard Top 200 with their third album\, Vide Noir. Lord Huron’s most recent LP Long Lost garnered praise from NPR\, Time\, Los Angeles Times\, Spin and Stereogum and sparked performances on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon\, Jimmy Kimmel Live!\, The Late Late Show with James Corden and CBS This Morning: Saturday. The debut 45 single “Party Line / Toxic” released late 2018 on Hi-Tide Recordings to immediate success. The band has toured extensively in its support\, including performances on The Beach Boys Cruise\, The Melissa Etheridge Cruise\, at Sea.Hear.Now\, Nashville Boogie\, Wild O Fest in Mexico City\, The Surf Guitar 101 Convention\, Tiki Oasis & Hi Tide Summer Holiday:  Asbury Park.   \n\n\n\nThey spent the rest of 2020 and most of 2021writing and recording their debut LP  “Roller Fink” from Hi-Tide Recordings / Virgin Music\, that released in 2022.
