DESCRIPTION:Missoula Dead Day honoring 30 years since the passing of The Grateful Dead’s Jerry Garcia will host live music from Dead tribute bands Flash Panda and 710 Ashbury\, with food trucks\, beverages and vendors at Caras Park from 12:00 Noon to 7:00 pm Saturday\, August 9\n\n\n\n\n\nMissoula Dead Day will take place at Caras Park on Saturday\, August 9 from 12:00 pm Noon to 7:00 pm. This special event will honor the music and legacy of Jerry Garcia and the Grateful Dead. August 9 will mark exactly 30 years since Garcia’s passing\, as well as 2025 representing the 60th anniversary of the formation of this iconic\, culture-shifting band. The event will feature live music from 710 Ashbury and Flash Panda\, showcasing Grateful Dead classics\, and original music in the spirit of the band. In addition to the music\, attendees can enjoy alcohol catering\, food trucks\, and a vendor area. The event will foster an atmosphere of camaraderie\, nostalgia\, and celebrating the joy of life and community. This is a FREE\, all-ages\, pet-friendly event designed to be inclusive and accessible to everyone. DESCRIPTION:The 2025 Missoula Marathon takes over this weekend with pre-race activities on Friday at Caras Park; Tony Banovich 5K at 8:00 am Saturday and Runners Expo; Marathon starting at 6:00 am Sunday\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Missoula Marathon is the brainchild of a group of local\, dedicated members of Run Wild Missoula who want to share the area’s beauty and Missoula’s unique feel with runners from all over. The Missoula Marathon is one of our community’s most beloved and supported events. The Missoula Marathon has been named as the Best Marathon In The U.S. on several occasions – in 2010 by the readers of Runner’s World Magazine and in 2017 and 2018 by The BibRave 100.
