Home ReSource and Free Cycles will host a concert on Saturday\, January 24\, at Free Cycles\, featuring live music from The Pettifoggers and The River Ramblers. Proceeds from the event will be split between the two organizations.  \n\n\n\n Through hands-on education and community-powered reuse\, both nonprofits empower people to repair\, rebuild\, and pass materials along so someone else can benefit. Both organizations are working to retire property debt so more resources can be directed toward people\, programs\, and local impact rather than interest payments. This event a celebration of progress\, partnership\, and what is possible when Missoula invests in the nonprofits it loves. \n\n\n\n“This event is about celebrating what makes Missoula special\,” said Kelli Hess\, Executive Director of Home ReSource. “When neighbors come together to support organizations they love\, we create lasting impact and ensure these community spaces thrive for generations to come.” \n\n\n\n“Owning our building and land\, debt-free\, will guarantee that we can stay where we are and continue serving our community\,” shared Bob Giordano\, Executive Director of Free Cycles. By securing their homes\, Home ReSource and Free Cycles will strengthen their ability to remain accessible\, resilient\, and deeply rooted in Missoula\, ensuring future support goes further in the service of a healthier\, more connected community.  \n\n\n\nThe River Ramblers\, a bluegrass band formed at the University of Montana\, keep timeless classics alive while weaving contemporary themes into their sound. \n\n\n\nThe Pettifoggers\, who proudly describe themselves as “garden slugs\, outlaws\, and musicians\,” have deep ties to Home ReSource\, with two band members having served on the organization’s board of directors. DESCRIPTION:Join Women Bike Missoula in a Celebration of Life for the late Missoula cycling icon and club founder Ethel MacDonald at Free Cycles from 12:00 pm Noon to 4:00 pm Sunday\, November 16\n\n\n\n\n\nMissoula cycling icon and Women Bike Missoula founder Ethel MacDonald passed away October 6 at the age of 87.  She was still riding with the group in her last year of life.  A Celebration of Life will take place this Sunday\, November 16 at Missoula’s Free Cycles (732 S First St. SW) from 12:00 pm Noon to 4:00 pm.  This will be an open house celebration so feel free to drop by at any time.  You can also join the short ride from Jeanette Rankin Peace Center at 11:45 am to Free Cycles – one of Ethel’s favorite places in Missoula – to bridge her love of both peace and bicycles.   \n\n\n\nEthel’s love of bicycles and wish that more women would use the bike for transportation and recreation led her to form Women Bike Missoula in 2014.  Since that time the group has grown to over 500 women.  Ethel was multi-dimensional in her passions and you can read more about her life here.  If she touched you in some way\, please join the celebration on Sunday and be inspired to live your own life to the fullest extent.At Free Cycles\, Matthew Marsolek & Ethel’s drumming friends will gather to “drum in” the bicyclists as they arrive—a joyful tribute to her spirit & love of community. \n\n\n\nJoin Women Bike Missoula in a Celebration of Life for the late Missoula cycling icon and club founder Ethel MacDonald at Free Cycles from 12:00 pm Noon to 4:00 pm Sunday\, November 16\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n	Related

The Tweed Ride is a leisurely family-friendly bike ride through town\, in which ride participants are encouraged to wear tweed\, wool\, or other vintage attire. No charge for tickets\, this ride is donation based…come join us! Donations support the operational costs of Free Cycles. \n\n\n\nHere’s this year’s Tweed Ride Plan: Meet at Free Cycles between 3:30 pm and 4:00 pm.
