DESCRIPTION:Meet up with TNR at 6:00 pm at Missoula’s Rattlesnake Canyon Trailhead parking lot for this week’s Thursday Night MTB Ride\n\n\n\n\n\nRattlesnake RideThe weather looks cool and possibly wet for tomorrow night\, with a chance of snow earlier in the day. We’ll meet at the main Rattlesnake Trailhead parking lot and choose a route based on conditions. If it’s looking decent\, Wallman or Fenceline are options. DESCRIPTION:Meet up with Montana Dirt Girls at 6:00 pm on January 21 at Missoula’s Rattlesnake Recreation Area trailhead parking lot for a Wednesday Night Hike up Ewok Trail to Sawmill Gulch and Booty Ridge\n\n\n\n\n\nBooty Ridge Hike – Rattlesnake Recreation AreaThis hike will involve some off-trail hiking and a steep downhill. We will hike up to Sawmill Gulch on Ewok Trail\, then bushwhack up and across Booty Ridge\, and back down to Ewok. There are some icy areas at Rattlesnake right now!Poles\, grippers\, gaiters\, and a headlamp suggested. DESCRIPTION:Meet up with Montana Dirt Girls at 6:00 pm Tuesday\, December 23 to explore the Stinky Hollow Hike at Missoula’s Rattlesnake Canyon\n\n\n\n\n\nYou’ve heard of Dasher and Dancer and Prancer and Vixen\, but have you heard of Stinky?? If not\, come join us on this short\, but adventurous hike.This may be a shorter hike but a bit “off trail” so come prepared with gaiters or at least good pants that can take some deep snow and brush.~3.5 miles & 650′ elevation gain/lossTrailhead LocationMap of Route \n\n\n\nItems to bring for  hiking: \n\n\n\n\nwater                    * snacks\n\n\n\nheadlamp             * bear spray          \n\n\n\nlayers of clothing  * hiking poles\n\n\n\ngaiters\n\n\n\nfoot grippers (depending on snow and ice)\n\n\n\n\nWe have lots of gals coming in and out each week. Here are some good rules of thumb.* Try to get the group started soon after 6:00 pm* Do intros\, ask if we have any new gals and get a head count* Break into groups if needed & find a gal to coordinate each group* You don’t have to be the fastest in the group to lead but just make sure we don’t leave someone behind* Have fun! \n\n\n\nNote: No dogs are allowed in the Rattlesnake at this time of year. Friendly and well-behaved dogs are welcome to join us on hikes. If your pup can be aggressive or unpredictable around other dogs/people\, please leave them at home. If your dog isn’t under voice control\, please plan to leash them up for your hike. Also\, make sure you check if the area is open to dogs. There are several closures that start December 1 and some are yearlong. This Thursday we’ll meet at 6:00 pm in the main Rattlesnake trailhead parking area for one last Fenceline ride before the snow flies. The route includes the climb up to the Snowbowl overlook\, but we’ll make the call Thursday night on whether to include that section. Either way\, we’ll finish with the rambling Fenceline–Ewok descent back to the trailhead. \n\n\n\nWhen we transition to winter activities\, messages will only be sent to the winter hiking/skiing group.
