Their high energy live shows have sparked a local cult following and many sold out shows all over Montana. Fans from all over the spectrum of music can grasp onto something they enjoy. \n\n\n\nIn three years as a band\, The Gray Goo has played all over Montana and the Pacific Northwest and West Coast including many festivals and have developed a local cult following. They regularly sell out shows in their home state and have swiftly catapulted to regional prominence. The Gray Goo writes\, produces and records all of their music completely independently. The five original members all grew up in Polson on the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Reservation. We have been playing together since the 6th grade but have been touring as Off in the Woods for 13+ years. We play up and down the State of Montana with a few shows in Idaho and Washington. In our time together we have worked our way up from free gigs at dive bars to playing historic theaters and festivals. With a sound that’s as raw and captivating as it is intentional\, they weave gritty guitar leads\, haunting fiddle melodies\, and powerhouse vocals that leave audiences spellbound. Drawing inspiration from musical giants like Janis Joplin\, Alabama Shakes\, Susan Tedeschi\, and The Runaways\, Fern Spores infuse their music with a modern edge while paying homage to the raw energy and authenticity of their predecessors. Their songs are both anthems of empowerment and poignant reflections on life’s highs and lows. Their highly anticipated debut album\, recorded at world renowned studio WAM\, released on 6/7/2024. \n\n\n\nFern Spores is an all woman band fronted by singer-songwriter Alyssa Nunke (guitar) and Jade Kovats (lead guitar)\, with Abigail Ryle (violin)\, Caroline Robin (cello\, bass)\, and Jessie Branch (drums). They all sing harmonies and weave a lush sonic landscape accented by Nunke’s reverb soaked 1970’s telephone microphone. After moving to Los Angeles CA in 2012\, Crosby landed 2 songs (“This Old Town” and “Oh Love\, Oh Lord”) on the hit FX series Sons of Anarchy which has led to the band continually performing over 200 shows a year throughout the US and Europe. \n\n\n\nAdditionally\, Crosby spent 2015-16 on the road playing lead guitar for Widespread Panic song-writer Jerry Joseph\, as well as for Austin Texas road warriors Reckless Kelly in 2019. \n\n\n\nCrosby has co-written songs featured on Austin TX band Micky & The Motorcars recent release Long Time Comin’ and Reckless Kelly’s American Girls/American Jackpot. \n\n\n\nAfter spending 3 years based in Nashville TN\, Crosby has returned to Idaho and will continue to tour with his band full-time in support of his most recent release NORTHSTAR (APRIL 2020) and the current single “Runnin’ Free” (MAY 2021) feat.
