Weekend PICKS: Thursday, February 24th thru Sunday, February 27th

The last weekend of February, and it feels like we’ve survived. The end is nigh!
We’re ready to close out the month strong. We’ve compiled the most comprehensive list of this weekend’s events in Missoula and around Western Montana, all right here for you to make your own Weekend PICKS.
We’re counting over 70 live music shows of one kind or another in the area. We challenge you to find another part of the country with such a high level of local music to choose from.
The winter markets on Saturdays are still there to get your local craft shopping fix handled. Tons of trivia to flex that big brain of yours.
The annual Big Sky Film Festival wraps up over the weekend. You can find some fantastic film and cinema showings, and a selection of movies to keep you coming back, or binge-streaming from home.
We suffered through the cold snap of the past week, and the mountains rewarded us with fresh powdery snow at most of our local skiing spots – check the links here for current conditions at Snowbowl, Lost Trail, Whitefish, Blacktail and Discovery. There are outstanding conditions for XC all around Missoula & Western Montana. FatBike Missoula has been grooming tracks at Twin Creeks. Bitterroot Backcountry Cyclists are reporting good fat biking on the trails around Lake Como and other areas in great shape, too.
No matter what direction you wanna get outta town, you can’t go wrong. Activities and events are happening not only around Missoula, but all the way up the Flathead and the Bitterroot valleys, and Phillipsburg.
Get out and enjoy our locally-owned bars & restaurants with Montana grown / made food and beverages. Catch a classic movie screening or a stand-up comedy night. Sing your favorite karaoke song, or catch a live show. Enjoy safely and responsibly.
Please confirm event details at the source before you go. Last minute changes are common, especially due to weather. With each event listing, we try to include a web page or event link with more information you can check for changes.

“Though it was the end of February, the day was a lazy sort of cold. The sun slipped through the cloud in bursts, reminding the landscape that it was still there, prodding snow piles to relax into puddles and stirring sleeping seeds under the ground.”
― Erika Robuck, Call Me Zelda
