You Should Have Been Here Yesterday: The Merle Travis Band at Rock Creek Lodge

Merle Travis Peterson has returned to the stage with a new band, performing outlaw country classics at the recently reopened Rock Creek Lodge in Clinton on Saturday night.

We had a chance to chat with the former Cold Hard Cash frontman before the show, and he shared the news that he has a new album of original music to be released in July. The new band formed in 2019, performing at gigs at the Sturgis motorcycle rally back in August, and more recently at Daytona Bike Week in Florida.
Music has ushered in a welcome return at the Rock Creek Lodge, with the back patio lending itself well to summer outdoor entertainment against the backdrop of the mountains at sunset. The new owners, Damon and Sherri Wahl, are looking forward to announcing more entertainment dates looking ahead.
