With their tasteful homemade sides, sauces and rubs, they decided to compete in BBQ competitions just to see how well they would do. Their very first KCBS (Kansas City Barbecue Society) sanctioned competition was in Boulder City, NV, The Best DAM BBQ. At this event they took 2nd place ribs, 5th place pork, 8th place beef brisket, 11th place chicken, and with an overall of 3rd place. From there, they have won multiple 1st place in ribs, brisket, and pork categories, 1st place sauce 2011, 2012, 2013. In 2014 they took Grand Champion at the Carnivores Classics. Not only do they compete, but they incorporate vending delicious BBQ in order to compensate for travel cost. After this event, they were motivated to compete at bigger competitions, from Montana to Colorado, Washington, Wyoming, Nevada, and Arizona, following the KCBS circuit. They’ve won numerous awards in Ribs, Beef brisket, Chicken, and their homemade BBQ sauce.
After they began winning many competitions, there were numerous request for catering, such as: weddings, graduations, reunions, etc. At Montana “Q” you can find their award winning slow smoked ribs, pork, beef, chicken and of course, our award winning BBQ sauce.
