WESTERN CIDER is an heirloom apple grower and cidery on the banks of the Clark Fork River in Missoula, Montana. We craft easy going and traditional ciders including Poor Farmer, the award-winning McIntosh, and a Montana legend – Whiskey Peach. You can find our ciders in stores and bars throughout Montana. Our tasting room has 12 rotating taps, good vibes, and a riverside cider garden.
WESTERN CIDER’S story began in 2012 when Michael Billingsley planted a cider apple orchard in Montana’s Bitterroot Valley. The trees are rare, heritage cultivars grown specifically for making cider. He continued to plant trees every year since, and currently has over 4,500 trees in his orchard and more than 50 varieties. Now, we are using those apples, as well as fruit from Pacific Northwest orchards, to produce a diverse range of ciders for the enjoyment of all.
