Missoula / Montana Podcasts

The Missoula Underground has no printed version.  The nature of consuming content with your eyeballs through a screen is how most folks do it these days.  Don’t get us wrong – we love reading from the printed page – but this modern life finds us leaving print behind like a sentimental keepsake, while we absorb the world through our phones, tablets, and computers.

Our bloodshot eyes aren’t the only portal to the brain.  The world’s music, history, and storytellers are also as close as the same devices to our ears.  

Podcasts as defined are “a digital audio file made available on the Internet for downloading to a computer or mobile device, typically available as a series, new installments of which can be received by subscribers automatically.”

Of course, The MUG is focused on all things hyper-local, and we have a surprising number of Missoula and Montana based podcasts to choose from…twelve and counting at this writing.  The quality and variety is impressive, from music to outdoor pursuits, worldwide adventure, local storytelling, entrepreneurial endeavors, random and funny shows, and more.

Listening to / absorbing local podcasts is naturally assisted in our vast state by extra time spent idling in traffic on Reserve Street and elsewhere around town, and even more so by the long distances driving point-to-point for work and pleasure.  Downtime and drive time is often more pleasurable and more productive with a good podcast playing in the background.
