Join Missoula Art Museum for First Friday from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on April 3, as indigenous artists Aspen and Cameron Decker open their exhibition Q̓ʷeyq̓ʷay ‘Buffalo’ is Our Good Medicine in the Lynda Frost Gallery, on view April 3 thru July 25.

Aspen Decker is an enrolled member of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes, a Salish language educator, and studio artist working primarily in ledger art through her practice, Shining Camas Studio.

Cameron Decker is Diné, an enrolled member of the Navajo Nation and a descendant of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes, with a background in arts education at MAM and Salish Kootenai College.

Together they founded Xʷlxʷilt “Alive and Well,” a Séliš Education organization dedicated to authentic Indigenous education experiences.

The evening includes an artist talk at 5:30 pm, a no-host bar, and live music by the Lo Horgan Siegel Trio.
Free and open to the public.
