Clay Wassail Cups with Western Cider in Missoula Friday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Both workshops will create wassail cups from start to finish!
Both of these workshops will be held in our Annex space, 1110 Hawthorne St Unit C, but please feel free to park in the adjacent lot for our main building, 1106 Hawthorne St.
A beloved tradition in preparation for Western Cider’s yearly Wassail! Part of the Wassail Workshop Series. Learn time-honored handbuilding techniques that are surprisingly simple, and create your own clayen cup! Just like wassailers of old! We’ll fire it and coat it with food-safe clear glaze for you, so you can pick it up at the festival at Western Cider on February 1 to go wassailing with!
One of our teaching artists will walk participants through varying hand building methods to create your vision of a wassail cup! Beginner friendly, but also fun for those with clay experience who want to experiment with new ways to build cups. This workshop is a great opportunity to make a functional tumbler while enjoying a fun evening with great company!
Patrons of these special workshops will pick up their finished wassail cups at Western Cider’s Wassail event on February 1, 2025!
One ticket covers instruction, materials, and firing for one individual to create a cup for wassail, which will be glazed and fired by Clay Studio of Missoula staff.
You’re welcome to get a ticket for more than one person, but please have your buddy’s contact info ready to fill in their ticket form if applicable!
