First Friday with D. L. Johnson at Betty V Vintage

First Friday is here once again and I’m so excited to have David Johnson as our artist for the month! First Friday falls on the 1st this month- so it must been a good omen, right?
Join us from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm for our event and a beverage!

D.L. Johnson is an illustrator, painter, and writer from the vast plains of central Montana. Born near the feedlot where his father ran cattle in Columbus, MT, he grew up primarily in Great Falls, where he simultaneously learned to love the natural world, hobby culture, and artists of the Rocky Mountain School. He now calls Missoula home.
David combines his interests in narratives, history, and game design with an eye for naturalism in his work as a freelance illustrator in the tabletop gaming industry as well as his personal work. He has been an illustrator for a number of award-
winning publications, has written and illustrated his own books, and has had his work featured in Paste magazine. He has worked exclusively with FOSS (free and open source software) since 2011, developing workflows that shift seamlessly from physical to digital and back again
