Making the leap from playing music to professional musician is a daunting and unforgiving path. Travis Yost has been a gigging performer/entertainer for 30 years, most of that time as a full time professional musician. His perspective spans many genres. He has used guitar, bass, keys, drums, his voice, songwriting, composition, arranging, and recording to make himself a known musical entity of Montana and the Pacific Northwest. He will present his career as a musician as an example of how to make yourself a gigging musician or help continue your journey.
This is for musicians of any level, instrument, age, and background, or, anyone that is curious about the ins and outs of the local/regional music business. This is not a workshop. You will not be given individual instruction, a list of contacts, exact details about venues/promoters, or direct answers. There will be a short Q&A at the end of the the presentation.
Tickets are $5, the entire amount goes to The Roxy Theater.
