Halloweekend PICKS: Thursday, October 26th thru Sunday, October 29th
Who’s feeling spooky? We are! Winter’s here early, but that’s not gonna slow us down, there’s just too much good stuff going on. The MUG has compiled the most comprehensive list of Halloween Weekend events in Missoula and around Western Montana, all right here for you to make your own Halloweekend PICKS!
Halloween festivities are all over, each and every day of the weekend – choose well! Rocky Horror Live! has two performances are happening each evening, on Friday and Saturday at The Wilma. MCT’s performances of “Young Frankenstein” continue. Just about every bar, brewery and taproom have fun costume contests and live music. And of course, the big Field of Screams MT Haunt is happening all weekend in Victor!

Missoula’s big annual Rolling Thunder cyclocross bicycle racing weekend is at Mavericks Stadium both Saturday and Sunday. If you like cowbell, bikes, beer and crisp weather (and who doesn’t?), Thunder Cross is a must-do.
Summer Farmers Markets season is almost over, with the Missoula Farmers Market (at Depot Park by the XXXX’s at the north end of Higgins) and Clark Fark Market (by the Carousel) holding their days on Saturday. Go stock up with all the fall produce and flowers while you can.
It’s Family Weekend at the University of Montana, and we’ll see a lot of out-of-town visitors with a whole slate of activities both on and off campus. UM Griz Football returns to Washington-Grizzly Stadium to host Northern Colorado with game kickoff at 1:00 pm Saturday. It’ll also be Band Day, Grizzly Hall of Fame Day, and First Responders’ Day at the game.
There are around 100 local music shows of one kind or another in the area throughout the weekend… we have options!
No matter what direction you wanna get outta town, you can’t go wrong. Lots of early fall weekend activities and events are happening not only around Missoula, but all the way up the Flathead and the Bitterroot valleys, east to Phillipsburg and Anaconda, and out west past Alberton. If you’re headed up to Glacier, there are some outstanding pit stops to make along the way.
Get out and enjoy our locally-owned bars & restaurants with Montana grown / made food and beverages – they need your business! Try a new local brew! Support our local farmers and crafts people at the farmers markets. Take the family for a crisp autumn hike. Catch a classic movie screening or a stand-up comedy night. Stretch that big brain at one of the local trivia nights. Sing your favorite karaoke song, or catch a live music show. Enjoy safely and responsibly.
