Cassens Fine Art presents “After the Herd,” a focused exhibition of new work by Doug Taplin.

Centered on images of bison and elk, the show considers the relationship between these animals and the land they inhabit. The title nods to shifting populations over time and the resilience that has allowed some species to endure.

Taplin asks viewers to reflect on what remains, what adapts, and what continues forward. Taplin hopes each painting offers a moment of complete focus, the kind that lingers long after you step away.
