About Flash Panda Plays Dead Flash Panda – Plays Dead is is a unique live experience like no other. Each show consists of one set of original Flash Panda material and one set of Grateful Dead songs. The Panda set features original material written by members of the band with a few choice covers thrown in here and there. Panda tunes range from heartfelt ballads to improvised sonic explorations, and the set is a full spectrum of original Americana jam music. The Dead sets vary from night to night and cover the full career of the Grateful Dead. A Flash Panda Plays Dead show hits on all points, highlighting the songwriting and playing of the band’s original material and the greatness of the Grateful Dead. Flash Panda is a five-piece band from Missoula, MT. They have played venues across NW Montana since 2020 and are excited to expand to new venues in 2024 and spread the word!
