The Missoula Art Museum is honored to host celebrated poet, essayist, and translator Jane Hirshfield as part of the University of Montana’s Creative Writing Series. Join us for an unforgettable evening of poetry and reflection with one of America’s most influential literary voices.

Jane Hirshfield is the author of numerous acclaimed poetry collections, including The Asking: New & Selected Poems, Ledger, and The Beauty, a National Book Award longlist selection. Her work bridges the literary and the philosophical, offering clarity, mystery, and deep insight into the human experience.

A true person of letters, Hirshfield’s career spans decades of writing, teaching, translation, and advocacy for poetry in the public sphere. Her honors include fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation, NEA, and the Academy of American Poets.
